Azim looks up to Salman, SRK and Aamir Khan
To make his character in "Qasam Se Qasam Se" appear realistic, Azim frequented call centre offices to absorb the finer nuances of the people working there. "It was quite a relevation for me as an actor.
I witnessed not only people's mannerisms but also the activities they indulge in during the break hour. Looking into the mirror, some guys would be busy ruffling their hair and taking care of their looks, while some would busy binging.
And there would others catching up with family and friends over their cell phones. This has helped shaped my character in the film.
" Azim feels that all our veteran actors were keen observers and would translate that on screen. "Whether it were the legendary actors like Dilip Kumar or the late Raj Kapoor or Dev Anand , they were schools in themselves.
I am a great fan of Salman Khan , Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan and look at them as a student who looks upon his guru. I am mastering the art of acting watching their films," he smiles

(less)I never thought I'd be a desirable woman: Sameera Reddy
"My name in the list means a lot to me. As as a young girl, I never thought even in my wildest dreams that I would become a desirable woman.
I yearned for a perfect body as I was ugly duckling in school. But now that I have entered films, I believe that beauty is hidden in the imperfections of people and it all depends on how you use them.
That's my definition of desirable and I am glad to have made it to the list," says Sameera. The actor is basking in the success of her last Tamil release opposite Madhavan and has Padma Shri Priyadarshan's Tezz to look forward to.

(less)Sherlyn Chopra likes being unconventional
Be it politics, cinema, sports, business or any other arena, women across the globe including India are in great form mentally, physically and consciously to undertake greater responsibilities and tougher challenges that are often encountered on paths less travelled." Sherlyn is also happy that she has gone from being just a pin-up girl to an entrepreneur.
Says she, "The rapid metamorphosis in my case would not have been possible had the mindsets of the majority of the people in the Hindi film industry continued to be goverened by prejudices. I look upto entrepreneurs who command respect and attention for daring to think out of the box and act accordingly.
They do not have a herd mentality. What they have is unadulterated creativity which is set on fire by courage.
" Naming films like " The Dirty Picture ", " Erin Brokovich ", " No One Killed Jessica "," The Black Swan " as cinema that has changed the way we think, Sherlyn says, "Unconventionality is no longer a taboo. It is being applauded and celebrated by both the classes and the masses.
The pulse of the youth is racing towards liberalisation. And I'm truly loving it.
" Asked why she decided to give us photographs that resembled those of the " Jism 2 " campaign, the actor quips, "I have pushed the envelope by choosing to cover my nakedness with nothing but pure consciousness."

"I had a blast at NYU. Everyone was so enthusiastic, they put on a very polished, confident show, and the surprise flash mob at the end was perfectly executed.
My best wishes to all the students involved," Imran said in a statement. The students had been practising for the performance for over two weeks, ahead of Imran's visit to New York as part of the promotional tour.
"As the president of NYU Dillagi, a Bollywood dance team, I knew we had to have simpler steps that the general public would be able to do and we sent videos out to the public. I thought that the flash mob came out even better than expected since people kept joining the mob throughout the sequence and it definitely surprised those that did not know of it ahead of time," Mohit Chhatpar, coordinator of the flash mob, said.
"It was really fun to be doing a flash mob and having Imran among us was all the more fun. He was very sporting and interacted with the students.
We are excited about this movie as well and are glad he could come and be among us to talk about his movie," he added. The Dharma Productions' film, also starring Kareena Kapoor, is set to hit theatres Feb 10.

But this is what everyone, including Rakhi had expected. The whole week she kept on and on about what-if, when she would be evicted from Bigg Boss house.
Now what remains to be seen is how she will teach the don’s moll on how to hook a man in 100 ways. The TV channel Colours would definitely not shoot itself in the foot by evicting the lone entertainment factor Rahul Mahajan at this early stage.
In fact, this guy’s definitely going to be long in the house – without Krishan Kanhaiya there would be no Bigg Boss, or rather the advertisers. The guy’s probably found his calling – he can participate in all the reality shows.

(less)Shah Rukh’s Don 2 runs into legal trouble?
Our source closely associated with Nariman Films alleged, "Nariman Films are the original producers of the Film "DON" released in 1978 starring Amitabh Bachchan . In the year 2005 Mr.
Shahrukh Khan and Farhan Akhtar approached Nariman Films for the remaking rights of the original film "DON" through Mr. Javed Akhtar .
We had given them remaking rights only for Don - The chase Begins Again in 2005. We have never given remaking rights for "Don-2 The chase continues ".
Therefore we have raised our objection upon the Infringement on our Copyright of our film "Don" through our Advocates Mr. Digvijay Chopra and Miss Iva Bansal of Film India Corporate Legam Law Firm.
" Advocate Digvijay Chopra confirmed the news saying, "A legal Notice has been sent to Excel Entertainment , Red Chillies Entertainment, Reliance Entertainment , Shah Rukh Khan , Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani , Baba Arts for Infringement of Copyrights . The remaking rights were only given for the film 'Don- The chase begins again' starring Shah Rukh Khan.
It was granted by an agreement which expired in year 2009.Thereafter they never renewed the said agreement or took prospective rights from Nariman Films.
" Counsel Advocate Iva Bansal added, "Without any renewal of remaking rights Excel Entertainment and Red Chillies have made the film Don 2 ,the chase continues, Not only have they Infringed upon the title registered to Nariman Films i.e "Don" and "Don-2 - the Return of the King" which is in this matter second infringement .
The first infringement is the Film Don-2 itself made without taking necessary rights as per law." You see the Title Don -2 has already copyrighted in name of Nariman Films way back in January 2005.
Reliance Entertainment has taken the distribution without any NOC from Nariman Films who hold the negatives of the original film Don and is there copyright. We shall also extend our objection to Don 2's overseas distributors Paramount Films.
" Don 2 is slated to release in the last week of December 2011

Our source says, Don-2 producers went to town saying that they were due to collect an ex-amount of money(a huge fee) for the satellite rights of the film. Yes it is confirmed that Don-2 did get a big price against satellite.
But what is also true, is that there allegedly is a clause in the contract that says that SRK-PC would compere the awards night for the channel that has picked up the airing rights of Don-2; and their emceeing fee is also allegedly adjusted against the full price of the satellite sale.'' While the technicalities of SRK and PC's fee for their emcee act may or may not interest people; or may or may not be exactly the way our source tells us; what is truly interesting is the fact that these two superstars have been sold as a package item.

(less)17 Bollywood songs to make out to...
PS: This isn't in any order. It totally depends on what you are in the mood for.
1 "Jaadu Hain Nasha Hain" ("Jism"). If this song doesn't stir up the sex, then nothing will.
The lyrics that would put Agent Provocateur to shame ("Dekhti Hai Jis Tarah Se Teri Nazrein Mujhe Main Khud Ko Chupaao Kahan") and visuals that just beg for a little role-play. 2 "Kaate Nahin Kat Teh" ("Mr India").
Guaranteed to get you going even before you've even started getting undressed. Raunchy, ribald and with enough juice to bring a ravenous smile to your face.
3 "Zara Zara Touch Me" ("Race"). If the mood is for nasty, dirty, imaginative passion, this one is for you.
The chorus goes, "Oooooo, Can I Touch Ya, Oooooo, Can I Get Ya". A little turned on just reading it, aren't you? 4 "Ooh La La Ooh La La" ("The Dirty Picture").
In a tearing hurry? The beat will compliment your willingness to be naughty, and it's quick enough to go wham-bam. Prepare for some carnal-craziness.
The song climaxes with a climax. 5 "Bheege Hont Tere" ("Murder").
Some parts are slow, but all parts sexy. It's the perfect foreplay song, where you can slowly strip and sashay to the rhythm.
6 "In The Night No Control" ("Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi"). A desi rip-off of the Laura Branigan classic works as the perfect song to switch dramatically from foreplay to instant gratification.
Works very well, when combined with No. 5.
7 "Dhak Dhak Karne Laga" ("Beta"). This is the song to get your kink on to the thumping beats of this intense desi wonder.
Reserved in the 'salty & sweaty' category. 8 "Jiya Jale" ("Dil Se").
Lutao your libido on this racy one! For those who like moving slowly between the sheets and then speeding up like you are in a rally, this track is just the right way for you. 9 "Raat Ka Nasha" ("Asoka").
The rhythm and melody in this song make sweet love. The ultimate aphrodisiac for anyone with a passive libido.
Perfect song to let the woman take charge. 10 "Chupke Se" ("Saathiya").
This one is for when you wake up in the mood. The lyrics streaming in with the first light of the sun; the morning still bedraggled, the room fervent with a bouquet of hunger.
Start slow, and stay steady. 11 "Hai Rama" ("Rangeela").
This track breathes raging sex. It is raw, animalistic and promises to help you bring out the masterstrokes in a rhythm.
All desi role-play is supported in this one. 12 "Jaane Do Na" ("Saagar").
An old classic that is more for the mature afternoon of passion. This one is all candles and aromas and you will want to hum every word as you tease to please.
13 "Humma Humma" ("Bombay"). This calls for Hollywood style love-making! Clothes are ripped off, objects are knocked over, glasses smash to the floor.
Grabbing, aching, biting, scratching, pushing..
. You get the picture? 14 " Zara Zara" ("RHTDM").
Dirty, naughty and totally fatal. For the women, unleash your wild side with these grooves.
For the men, sit back and enjoy. 15 "Kehti Hai" ("Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman").
Sexy silky vocals, subtly suggestive lyrics, and visuals of Shah Rukh Khan in a super-deep V neck makes this the perfect lotion of lyrical love. Just let it flow.
..
16 "Dheere Jhalna" ("Paheli"). Literally setting your loins on fire.
Earthy and rustic, basic and primal! Perfect to lose your virginity. 17 "Baahon Ke Darmiyaan" ("Khaamoshi") A slow dreamy sexual saga! Smooth and sensual, slow and seeped in syrup.
This isn't Bhansali's imagery - it's the magic of this lilting number that can loop endlessly on a full moon night

(less)Don-2 is original: Shahrukh Khan
Said SRK, My producers Ritesh Sidhwani , Farhan Akhtar and I are wondering where such stories come from. Even when we made the original 2006 version of Don; we had done our due diligence and taken whatever permissions where there to be sought from the script point of view.
While my producers are best qualified to give a fitting reply to the whole matter, I as a lead actor can say that as for the sequel, the Amitabh Bachchan Don never had a sequel. So where is the question of us copying anything.
Farhan and his team have worked on the script, I know for a fact that we haven't copied from anywhere and this is an original script.'' SRK added, It is irresponsible even on the part of those reporting to say someone has infringed the copyright because there are always people who raise their heads at the nth hour with allegations.
The media must also look into the merits of the entire case before reporting. After all many people have worked hard on the script.
I have full respect for the media and I know that 99 per cent of the people do not fall for wrong leads; however even that one percent who tend to get swayed must try and hear out both versions of a story.'' (less)Salman Khan set to create history
He is complemented by an exciting, new wardrobe, styled by his sister Alvira Agnihotri and Ashley Rebello. The channel has signed him on, as his popularity cuts across all ages and gender.
The channel, coming soon to India in partnership with TV18 , is the original HISTORY channel from US and the number one factual entertainment channel there. The content promises to be gripping and racy - a far cry from the boring history narrative programs this far.
Research has shown that viewers have started watching factual entertainment channels the world over even more. They offer a different style of programming, enhanced visual experience that's set in an outdoor setting.
This trend is likely to catch up in India as people are looking beyond soaps, serials and existing reality TV for entertainment. Ask Salman about his association with the channel and he says, "I simply love their unexpected take and content.
It's nothing like I expected history to be. You too will be totally taken aback.
Just be patient and soon all will be revealed." Ajay Chacko , President of Network18-AETN, adds, "History has always been associated with the past, but with our channel, we hope to change that perception.
It's contemporary, it's also about action and adventure. It is about people making history every day.
We're thrilled to partner with Salman for the venture."
(less)SRK’s Don 2 release won’t be hampered
(Read: Shah Rukh's Don 2 runs into legal trouble? ) Farhan Akhtar's Excel Entertainment has denied infringing any copyright. Excel's legal consel sent a legal statement denying Nariman's claim.
The statement read, "Excel Entertainment has not infringed any copyright leave alone that of Don, starring Amitabh Bachchan by producing Don 2. Further, Excel Entertainment is the bona-fide author and owner of copyright of the Films "Don - The Chase Begins Again" (i.
e. Don 1), which has been confirmed by Nariman Films in writing.
Excel is also the owner of the copyrights of Don 2. In 2005, Nariman Films has given rights to Excel Entertainment, in perpetuity, for making "Don - The Chase Begins Again".
Don 2 is a sequel of "Don - The Chase Begins Again" alongwith the ownership to the underlying work therein. The entire story and dialogue of Don - 2 has been prepared by Farhan and the other team members of Excel Entertainment.
The title of Don 2 has been approved by AMPTPP in favour of Excel Entertainment. Excel Entertainment states that there has been no undue influence on persons of Nariman Films.
Nariman Films, with their malafide intention and to extort unjustified and unearned monies from Excel Entertainment, have given the legal notice, which is baseless and devoid of merits. Excel Entertainment is suitably replying to the legal notice sent by the Advocates of Nariman Films.
Excel Entertainment shall defend themselves and shall not permit Nariman Films to hamper the release of Don-2 under any circumstances whatsoever. The fact of Excel Entertainment making Don 2 has been in the public domain since 2009.
It seems that it has now become a practice to give notices just before release of a film to extract monies. We at Excel Entertainment have done nothing wrong and shall stick to the correct legal and moral principals and defend what is right.

(less)Hrithik Roshan’s no smoking club!
We all know that he quit smoking a year ago, and a book on how to quit smoking helped the actor a great deal. Now, we hear Duggu's passing on the same book to his smoker buddies.
First one on the list was Agneepath co-star Sanjay Dutt , and after getting him to follow the book, Hrithik turned his attention to Bobby Deol . His long-time buddy is the latest recipient of this anti-smoking book.
We like this book-club that Duggu has formed. And we have to say that most of the members are smoking hot themselves.

(less)Mani Ratnam reunites with Bharat Shah
Bobby Bedi of Kaleidoscope Entertainment bought the rights of Alaipayuthey and remade it into Saathiya in 2002. A source informed Mumbai Mirror, "Bharat bhai shares a very good personal and professional rapport with Mani sir.
They had co-produced Saathiya with Yash Chopra earlier. The venture turned out to be a hit.
Bharat Bhai was keen to buy the remake rights of Thalapathi as the script and the treatment of the film has all the pre-requisites for an entertaining Hindi film." Thalapathi starring Rajinikanth , Mammootty and Shobana in the lead roles with Arvind Swamy, Srividya, Amrish Puri, Bhanupriya, Nagesh, and Charuhasan in supporting characters was inspired by the friendship between Karna and Duryodhana in the Hindu epic, Mahabharata.
"Bharat Bhai flew down to south India and after a long discussion with Mani, finalised the deal. His company, Mega Bollywood Pvt Limited (same company that made Devdas) bought the remake rights of the film at a hefty amount.
The film will be directed by Puja Jatinder Bedi, who is currenlty awaiting the release of his debut film Ghost," added the source. Bharat Shah confirmed the story and added, "We have bought the remake rights of Thalapati.
The project will commence after the release of Ghost." Having worked behind the scenes for films like Mangal Pandey , The Myth and Saathiya, Puja is excited for this big challenge.
She said, "The film was made in 1991 so I plan to modernise parts of the story as well as a few action sequences. However, I plan to keep the screenplay and the characters intact.

(less)I'll do anything to make people smile: Shah Rukh Khan
One". After joking that he will strip if the audience finds his speech too long or too boring, Shah Rukh Khan sort of put all speculations about him collaborating with Lady Gaga to rest when he said at an event in Delhi, "Lady Gaga inspires me.
I've been chatting up with her over a song that I want to do with her. Her manager was telling me, Lady Gaga wants to introduce her audience to you and she wants to be introduced to your audience.
" He said he's changed his music choices, thanks to his kids. Now whether it's real, or it's one smart way to get Lady Gaga to sing for him, we don't know.
But SRK said, "I don't listen to Raag Bhairavi any more. I listen to Lady Gaga.
My son and daughter have also converted me from " Saturday Night Fever " to Justin Bieber." There's one other thing that the actor revealed - though in a matter-of-fact tone - that he was writing a book.
"My mother used to say that for every flash of the photobulb, zindagi ka ek second khatam ho jaata hai. But that is what I love the most about being an actor.
I'm writing a book that ends with..
. 'Wanting so many flashbulbs in a second, that I die in that one second'.
" That was not all, in those few minutes with the mike, he also managed to pull quite a few heartstrings. "I sell dreams," he said a few moments later, referring to why he never says he is the best, "I'll do anything to make people smile.
That is why I became an actor. I'll do anything - dance at weddings, stand on my head.
I'll sell my body if it makes you smile. I want to make movies so damned big, so grand, that my parents up in heaven can sit on a star, and watch it and say, that's my son's film.
..
" said SRK, with a smile, and the ladies sighed! SRK wishes Sallu I don't know the details of Salman's injury, but I think all of us, including myself, pray for his speedious (that's what he said) recovery and I want him to come back completely cured. Salman's a tough guy and Insha Allah he will recover very very fast and he needs to come back to where he belongs, which is to the top of his game.
I dont think me saying that makes any difference but all of us, while he is away, will make sure that we look after "Bodyguard"

After working with Glee actress Lea Michele on the set of their upcoming film New Year's Eve , he's eager for another chance to star alongside the beauty on her hit TV series and he's hoping executives will cast him as a blood thirsty criminal. "I'm a huge fan of Glee and a huge fan of Lea Michele's work.
It looks so fun. I would love to (be on it).
Have they had a serial killer yet? It'd be fun to sing about," he said. The popular high school musical show has already featured a number of guest stars during its three-year run - among them Gwyneth Paltrow, Neil Patrick Harris, John Stamos and Kristin Chenoweth.

(less)Agneepath satellite rights sell for 41 crore
It also overtakes what Star Network paid for this year's big Diwali release, RA.One , trade sources said.
Jayantilal Gada, CMD, Pen India Pvt Ltd, the agency that aids the purchase of films for Zee Cinema, justifies the hefty price tag, saying that channels study the production banner's track record on the small screen before pitching to buy the satellite rights. "We chose to buy Agneepath over several other biggies because Karan's (producer Karan Johar of Dharma Productions) movies have always delivered great numbers.
And the promo of this film showed promise," he said. Without commenting on the figures, trade analyst Amod Mehra says, "There are only a handful of leading satellite channels in the market.
Likewise, there are only four or five really bankable stars, and not more than 10 big films a year. Zee has shelled out the money for Agneepath to break the pattern of Karan's films going to either Star or Sony, and to strengthen their market position.
" According to the trade circuit, the TV satellite rights market has grown more than 10 times in the last decade alone. "Big flicks bring channels high TRPs and bumper ad revenue.
And no channel keeps a film to itself. Syndication is a common practice, and it also helps recover costs, that otherwise wouldn't make economical sense," Amod said, recalling that the 2007 hit, 'Jab We Met', was the first film in recent times to be syndicated to different channels.

(less)Don 2 in legal trouble
And since the producers of the remake weren't given the rights to make a sequel, Nariman Films has sent them a legal notice and is suing them for copyright infringement. The producers at Nariman Films say, "We have raised our objection through our advocates Digvijay Chopra and Iva Bansal.
" Confirming that a legal notice has been sent to Excel Entertainment, Red Chillies Entertainment, Reliance Entertainment, Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani, Shah Rukh Khan and Baba Arts, Digvijay Chopra states: "The remake rights were given only for the film Don: The Chase Begins Again , starring Shah Rukh Khan, by an agreement, which expired in 2009. Thereafter, they never renewed it or even take any prospective rights from Nariman films.
" While Baba Arts was not involved in the production, the advocates point out they had originally acquired the rights, which were then sold to Excel Entertainment for Rs 1.25 crore in 2005, with the knowledge of Nariman Films.
Further Iva Bansal explains that without any renewal of the remake rights, Excel Entertainment and Red Chillies Entertainment have gone ahead and made Don 2 . "Not only have they infringed upon the title registered by Nariman Films, i.
e. Don and Don 2: Return Of The King , which in this matter, is a second infringement.
The first infringement is Don 2 , made without taking the necessary rights as per the law," she states. Bansal also explains that the title Don 2 has been copyrighted in the name of Nariman Films in January 2005.
"Reliance Entertainment has taken the distribution rights without any No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Nariman Films who hold the negatives of the original film Don . We shall also legally proceed with Paramount Films as we are informed that they are the overseas distributors," she maintained.
When asked why Nariman Films didn't initiate any action against the makers of Don 2: The Chase Continues , before or during filming, the advocates elaborated: "The reason is because all the production houses and senior and influential members of the film industry made the partners of Nariman films believe by way of undue influence and fraud that they (Nariman Films) have sold all their rights for their original film Don and are in no position to proceed legally to vindicate their right for the Amitabh Bachchan starrer, and even sent a legal notice to Nariman Films to confirm the same." However, Nariman Films has now come to know from various sources that the advocates they first consulted are on the legal panel of the opposite party.
Now the original producers have approached another law firm and have learnt that the case of infringement, undue influence and fraud, is clearly evident in this case. "And after learning the same they have taken legal action," summed up the advocates for Nariman Films.
Chopra and Bansal reiterated that they will be taking legal action against the makers of Don 2: The Chase Continues at the High Court as well as criminal courts for necessary relief. "We will be approaching the courts for stay on the release and promotions as well as confiscating all the Infringed Copies under the Copyright Act," said Chopra and Bansal.

(less)Lindsay Lohan released from jail hours after checking in
30 am this morning (November 7, 2011). The Mean Girls star was sentenced to prison last week after admitting she had violated the terms of her probation in relation to a 2007 DUI (Driving Under the Influence) case.
Lindsay acknowledged in court that she had failed to show up at community service appointments at a women's shelter in Los Angeles. Superior Court Judge Stephanie Saunter told Lindsay - who attended the Los Angeles Superior Court Airport branch in a navy polka dot dress and Giuseppe Zanotti high heels - she will now have to perform all of her community service at a morgue and complete 19 psycho-therapy sessions by March 29, 2012.
If she completes them all, her probation will be over and the rest of the sentence will be stayed indefinitely. If she fails to do so, she will have to serve the remainder of the 270 days of her sentence.
On Thursday (November 10, 2011) Lindsay is due to re-shoot her pictures for Playboy magazine. The troubled star, who was paid around $1 million to pose naked in the pages of Hugh Hefner's men's magazine, has to strip off for the cameras again after bosses decided they weren't satisfied with the first set of shots.
A source previously said, "Lindsay was told the Playboy executives wanted to go in another direction with her shoot so they asked her to come back for a second time. The first pictures of Lindsay weren't exactly what they wanted so they have a new theme that they want to shoot.

"I'm just excited to meet new people and see what other business opportunities are out there other than what I've already have got on. "Absolutely (I would look at real estate), if it made sense and there was something there.
I'm hoping that I fall in love with the Middle East. I want to go out there all the time.
I want to bring my sisters so I hope the right opportunity comes about and I'm able to really do my homework and research some great real estate opportunities or other opportunities in general," the 'Keeping up with the Kardashians' star told Arabian Business. However, Kardashian's mother and manager, Kris Jenner, says the family may also look at opening a nightclub and a branch of retail outlet Kardashian Khaos.
"I would love the opportunity to help design a hotel and get into that business or maybe open a club, like a Kardashian experience, I think it would be really amazing. "We're opening up a store in Vegas called Kardashian Khaos and I would love to bring that to Dubai, it would be fun.
We consider it a great opportunity to see whats going on," said Jenner. Compared to the US, the Dubai club scene is relatively untapped, Kim said.
"It's something we have had offers out here in the States but it's very saturated out here. I think it would be really fun to have something in a place we can go away and have fun.

(less)Deposit 1cr before Ra.One's release: Court to SRK
One . "The defendants (Shah Rukh, his production house Red Chillies Entertainment and Eros Entertainment) are directed to deposit a sum of Rs one crore as pay-order to the court and then release the movie," the division bench of Chief Justice Mohit Shah and Justice Roshan Dalvi said.
The court was hearing the petition filed by television producer and writer Yash Patnaik, who contends that he is the original copyright owner of the concept and the content of RA.One , produced by Red Chillies Entertainment.
The court added that if the defendants failed to deposit the money tomorrow, an injunction against the movie's release would become operational. "It is the most unfortunate part of the film industry that people use others' concepts and then don't want to pay or give them credit," the bench remarked.
The court has kept the final decision on the issue of copyright violation pending, and would hear arguments in due course of time. RA.
One , starring Shah Rukh, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal, is slated to release on October 26. Patnaik had sought a stay to the film's release until he was given credit for the concept of the futuristic superhero that Shah Rukh plays in RA.
One . He had sought 10 per cent of the profits, in case he was not given the credit.
His lawyer, senior advocate Ravi Kadam, had argued that the superhero character resembled the one in Patnaik's concept of 2006, in "attributes and appearance". "The super-villain of Patnaik's script was called 'One', which has been used by Shah Rukh in the movie's title," Kadam said.
Shah Rukh's lawyer, senior advocate Virendra Tulzapurkar, had said that his client's script was completely different. Also, "Patnaik cannot claim copyright as he had developed his concept with a team of experts he had engaged," Tulzapurkar argued.
Distributor Eros Entertainment's lawyer, senior advocate Janak Dwarkadas, had said that Eros had acquired world distribution rights at Rs 150 crore and started transporting prints to theatres. No stay should be granted at the last moment, he said.
According to Patnaik, he had discussed the concept with RA.One 's script-writer, Mushtaq Sheikh, in 2006.
The judges, while adjourning the hearing for a later date, however remarked that "prima facie there has been a copyright violation". Tweet
(less)Shahrukh Khan says Don-2 is original
I have full respect for the media and I know that 99 per cent of the people do not fall for wrong leads; however even that one percent who tend to get swayed must try and hear out both versions of a story.'' (less)Ajay Devgn's the new Himmatwala!
A source revealed, "Sajid Khan is one f the top most commercial filmmaker of recent times. After the success of Heyy Babyy and Housefull, he is also one of the most soight after directors.
Vashu Bhagnani had signed him for the project some time back, reportedly, for Rs 12 crore. Ajay Devgn too has been signed for the yet untitled project.
He too has received a big sum of money speculated to be around Rs 15-18 crore." "Sajid Khan is a movie buff and a self proclaimed lover of the 80s classics.
he has always tried to maintain some element of the old films in his directorial ventures. In Housefull for instance, he incorporated the trademark Mithunda pelvic thrust in the Pappa Jag Jayega song.
He is a huge Sridevi fan as well. Himmatwala was an obvious choice for remake.
Everyone loved his idea and the script is now under process," added the source. In fact, Sajid is also trying to get rights for the hit music of the original film.
"In the past, Sajid had bought rights of Apni Toh Jaise Taise for his film Housefull. It is likely that he would buy the rights of the Himmatwala songs like Naino Mein Sapna, Taki O Taki and Ladki Nahi Lakdi Ka Khamba hai.
However, everything is being kept under wraps at the moment. The producers want to make a big official announcement soon," informed another source.
When contacted Vashu Bhagnani the producer of the film said, "Yes I am making a film with Sajid Khan and Ajay Devgn but it will go on the floors next year. Nothing has been finalised yet.
" When asked about the film being a remake of Himmatwala, he said, "It is a commercial action romantic film but it is a fresh subject." Sajid Khan refused to divulge any details either and said, "Vashuji, Ajay and I are coming together for the film.
I had told Vashuji that after Housefull 2 finishes, I will make a film for him and I am standing by my commitment. I am directing the film and it will be a typical Sajid Khan film, which promises wholesome entertainment for the entire family.
As far as the subject of the film goes, it is too early to give any details and I cannot disclose the subject at this point of time."

This was due to a chapter of the Rotary Club booking the hall for a charity show to raise money for medical treatment. The Rotary Club of Durbarmarg has begun a fund donation drive to raise money for patients who need blood for major surgeries but can't afford the tests required to see if the donor's blood group and the recipient's are compatible.
Cancer specialist Rajendra Baral, who also heads the Durbarmarg chapter of the club, said seed money of NRS.70,000 (a little less than Rs.

new friends, new people, new clubs, crazy college parties! The most bizarre night out though, was when I was taken to a club called 'Heaven' by new university friends. It was a hardcore rave club, about 2,000 people and totally not my scene.
I literally sat in a corner shocked by all that I saw, but calmly took it in and had a laugh. Fortunately, I was a confident, young girl with a mind of my own and even though drink and drugs were easily available they never turned me on.
