Azim looks up to Salman, SRK and Aamir Khan
To make his character in "Qasam Se Qasam Se" appear realistic, Azim frequented call centre offices to absorb the finer nuances of the people working there. "It was quite a relevation for me as an actor.
I witnessed not only people's mannerisms but also the activities they indulge in during the break hour. Looking into the mirror, some guys would be busy ruffling their hair and taking care of their looks, while some would busy binging.
And there would others catching up with family and friends over their cell phones. This has helped shaped my character in the film.
" Azim feels that all our veteran actors were keen observers and would translate that on screen. "Whether it were the legendary actors like Dilip Kumar or the late Raj Kapoor or Dev Anand , they were schools in themselves.
I am a great fan of Salman Khan , Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan and look at them as a student who looks upon his guru. I am mastering the art of acting watching their films," he smiles

(less)I never thought I'd be a desirable woman: Sameera Reddy
"My name in the list means a lot to me. As as a young girl, I never thought even in my wildest dreams that I would become a desirable woman.
I yearned for a perfect body as I was ugly duckling in school. But now that I have entered films, I believe that beauty is hidden in the imperfections of people and it all depends on how you use them.
That's my definition of desirable and I am glad to have made it to the list," says Sameera. The actor is basking in the success of her last Tamil release opposite Madhavan and has Padma Shri Priyadarshan's Tezz to look forward to.
Sameera has now decided that she will do a mix of performance-oriented and glamorous characters on screen, something that Simran and Jyothika did in Kollywood. So is the report true that Sameera wants to become the next Simran and Jyothika? "You cannot become another person.
I had said that I look up to both Simran and Jyothika, who had a mixed bag of roles- performance-oriented and cute characters. Both had their own fan following .
They are my role models and I want to have a beautiful lineup of characters like them," says the actor
(less)Sherlyn Chopra likes being unconventional
Be it politics, cinema, sports, business or any other arena, women across the globe including India are in great form mentally, physically and consciously to undertake greater responsibilities and tougher challenges that are often encountered on paths less travelled." Sherlyn is also happy that she has gone from being just a pin-up girl to an entrepreneur.
Says she, "The rapid metamorphosis in my case would not have been possible had the mindsets of the majority of the people in the Hindi film industry continued to be goverened by prejudices. I look upto entrepreneurs who command respect and attention for daring to think out of the box and act accordingly.
They do not have a herd mentality. What they have is unadulterated creativity which is set on fire by courage.
" Naming films like " The Dirty Picture ", " Erin Brokovich ", " No One Killed Jessica "," The Black Swan " as cinema that has changed the way we think, Sherlyn says, "Unconventionality is no longer a taboo. It is being applauded and celebrated by both the classes and the masses.
The pulse of the youth is racing towards liberalisation. And I'm truly loving it.
" Asked why she decided to give us photographs that resembled those of the " Jism 2 " campaign, the actor quips, "I have pushed the envelope by choosing to cover my nakedness with nothing but pure consciousness."

(less)Flash mob greets Imran at New York University
"I had a blast at NYU. Everyone was so enthusiastic, they put on a very polished, confident show, and the surprise flash mob at the end was perfectly executed.
My best wishes to all the students involved," Imran said in a statement. The students had been practising for the performance for over two weeks, ahead of Imran's visit to New York as part of the promotional tour.
"As the president of NYU Dillagi, a Bollywood dance team, I knew we had to have simpler steps that the general public would be able to do and we sent videos out to the public. I thought that the flash mob came out even better than expected since people kept joining the mob throughout the sequence and it definitely surprised those that did not know of it ahead of time," Mohit Chhatpar, coordinator of the flash mob, said.
"It was really fun to be doing a flash mob and having Imran among us was all the more fun. He was very sporting and interacted with the students.
We are excited about this movie as well and are glad he could come and be among us to talk about his movie," he added. The Dharma Productions' film, also starring Kareena Kapoor, is set to hit theatres Feb 10.

"It's been 20 years for that film. So, obviously now I will have to upgrade this story.
It will be the same realistic love story but with a modern theme," Suri told IANS. Aashiqui won critical accolades after its release at the time.
It also catapulted the careers of lead actors Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal, who forayed into Bollywood with this film. Suri is also set to hunt for new faces for the sequel.
"I will cast fresh faces with a new boy and a new girl," said Mohit. While some are referring to Aashiqui 2 as a sequel, others are calling it a remake.
However, producer Mukesh Bhatt of Vishesh Films sets the record straight. "It is neither a sequel nor a remake.
It can be said as the musical series of Aashiqui ..

(less)Shammi Kapoor was a ladies man!
His leading ladies share their experiences of being romanced by one of the most charming men of Bollywood. Being a non-conformist came easily to him: Sharmila Tagore "He was my first co-star in Hindi cinema, in Kashmir Ki Kali and therefore special.
But Shammi was special in his own right. And he remained special-vibrant, full of life and so young right till the end.
Shammi Kapoor was something else. He taught me a lot about lip-syncing for song sequences.
I'd say he really enjoyed his illness. He was having the time of his life, till his very last day.
His utterly-devoted wife Neela Devi would smile indulgently, even when Shammi would have a beer. I think it was Yash Chopra who played matchmaker between Shammi and his wife Neela Devi.
Shammi's zest for life was infectious. I remember we had gone recently to Pune to receive lifetime achievement awards together and Shammi was so much in his element.
Though confined to a wheelchair, he insisted on driving himself to the venue. At the venue, he wouldn't let me occupy a seat in the back.
He insisted on watching me give my speech. On another occasion recently, he called me up from the little town in Switzerland , where he had shot the Akele Akele song in An Evening In Paris .
He just remembered the time that we had shot together and called me to reminisce about those days. It's a gesture I won't forget.
It brought back all the memories of shooting with Shammi, for my first Hindi film Kashmir Ki Kali and the cult hit An Evening In Paris. What songs these films had! He was so clued into the music.
His body had its own rhythm. And he followed his own rhythm till his last days.
I remember him hanging out of a helicopter in a dressing-gown singing Deewane Ka Naam To Pucho and jumping into Dal Lake in Kashmir for another song. Only Shammi Kapoor could do such things.
Being a non-conformist came easily to him. He connected so well with the youth of today.
Imran Khan told me he visited Shammi in hospital to get to know more about (filmmaker) Nasir Husain (Imran's grandfather) because Shammi and Nasir were very close from the time of Teesri Manzil. Shammi's zest for life reminded me of Dadamoni (Ashok Kumar).
It's so sad to see such exuberant people go." -Subhash K Jha He was caring, protective and guardian like: Asha Parekh "He was Shammi chacha and his wife was Neela chachi for me.
It was her idea that I call them chacha and chachi. Now, when this shocking news comes, my heart reaches out to Neela chachi.
Shammi hacha..
.what do I say? Memories flood back to my first film Dil Deke Dekho, where I was this gawky nervous tomboy.
Shammi chacha taught me how to perform in the songs and how to lip-sync in the song sequences. We later did Teesri Manzil together.
Our two other films, Jawan Mohabbat and Pagla Kahin Ka, were average successes. When we were shooting for Teesri Manzil, we never thought it would become so popular with time.
We had so much of fun - me, Shammi chacha, producer Nasir Saab (Nasir Husain) and director Vijay Anand. Shammi chacha and I would look into the camera lens to check out all the pretty girls who passed by on location.
In all these years, I've never seen him depressed, except when his first wife Geeta Bali passed away suddenly. I remember the shooting of Teesri Manzil was called off and when we resumed we deliberately chose the sombre song Tumne Mujhe Dekha Hokar Meherbaan.
I don't know about other heroines. With me he was caring, protective and guardian-like.
" -Subhash K Jha He just felt the songs, and moved to its beats: Saira Banu He was a very well behaved and nice person. I feel sorry that we only did two or three films together.
I learnt a lot from him as far as acting is concerned. I can never forget that in our first film together, Shammi requested music director Shankar Jaikishan to incorporate his song Terre Pyaari Pyaari Surat Ko Kisiki Nazar Na Lage.
But since Shankar had composed the song for the film Sasural, it could not be used in Junglee. The very fact that Shammi took so much interest in the way I was presented in my debut film was very touching.
He would sit with the lyricists and music directors to get the feel of the song, before he could lip-sync the song on the set. He never considered himself a dancer.
He just felt the song and moved to its beats. He was impeccable and nobody can emulate him.
Dilip and I were in frequent touch with him, not only through phone but we used to visit him too. He was the best human being.
It is a great loss to our family. -Vickey Lalwani His energy level was much higher than mine: Hema Malini "It was through Shammiji's wife Neela Devi's sister Sheila Devi, that we kept in touch.
I was very close to Sheila Devi. Shammiji and I would often chat about her.
Unfortunately, Sheila Devi is no more. Shammiji had become a spiritual person in his later years.
I really liked that side of him. When I did my first film Andaz with him, I was young and he was a very senior person.
So, there wasn't much rapport between us. I remember the first thing we shot together was the song Dil ussey do jo jaan de de.
Years later, Shammiji and I came together in Meera. He will be sorely missed.
His energy level was much higher than mine. I actually had the privilege of working with all the three Kapoor brothers.
My first film in 1968 Sapnon Ka Saudagar, was with Raj Saab. A year later I did Jahan Pyar Mile with Shashi Kapoor , then Andaz with Shammi.
" -Subhash K Jha He had a terrific sense of humour: Helen As a co-star I shared a wonderful rapport with Shammiji. There was a spontaneous rhythm in him, which he was born with.
And he had a terrific sense of humour. He had a lot of respect for his co-stars.
When we first met he was a star and I was a newcomer. Yet he was so cooperative.
And since dance was my forte it was a joy working together. We went on to do quite a few films together.
A very nice film I did with him was Pagla Kahin Ka. Of course China Town is still popular.
There was also a film called Preetam. And there was also Prince with Vyjyanthimala and me.
Last time I met him was a few month ago. Me and my friends Waheeda Rehman, Nanda, Asha Parekh and Sadhana had gone out for lunch at a hotel.
Probably it was at Hyatt. As we walked in we saw him sitting in the lounge.
It was wonderful to meet him and talk to him. He used to be on dialysis and this was one of the days when he was not in the hospital.
On the days he did not have to go to the hospital he would go out, and often drive the car himself. He was so full of energy.
I remember he was so joyful to see us. One cannot believe that someone who was so ill could love life as much.
May his beautiful soul rest in peace. I am sure he is very happy wherever he is, looking down at us and smiling away.

(less)A grandson for Amitabh Bachchan?
Given the number 67, which adds to 67=4, Uranus or Rahu can cause stomach problems. He hurt his stomach grievously was while shooting for "Coolie" when he was 40, which is again 4.
Born on 11/10/1942, Big B's governed by the dreamy, romantic Moon (2), the creative Neptune (7), Venus or luxury (6), and number 8 which denotes Saturn (Balance). Venus and Saturn are Libra Rulers, while Neptune governs all number 2's as 2 Moon and number 7 Neptune are like mirror images.
So, while AB did very well with Libran, and number 7 Hema Malini (October 16), his name adds to 7 too. He is also set to enter his 70th (7) year too! Good news is on the doorstep for Paa.
It's likely, but never 100%, that he will be blessed with a grandson. The flip side of number 7 Neptune is that it makes a person restless and moody, causing depression.
So he shouldn't let his imagination go astray. He should do yoga, meditation or simply take some time off.
A moonwalk In Bollywood, there are numerous movies that have songs talking about the romantic Moon (2); and Big B shares his numbers with some great romantic actors, like Dilip Kumar (birthday - December 11), Shahrukh Khan (November 2), Sanjay Dutt (July 29), Naseeruddin Shah (July 20) and Ajay Devgn (April 2). Moon and Neptune preside over Cancerians as well, and two Cancerian beauties in B-Town are Katrina Kaif (16/7) and Priyanka Chopra (18/7).
It's a 6! Recently, Big B tweeted that most stars in Bollywood are Librans. This isn't surprising as Venus (6) is a planet of entertainment that influences Librans and those born on the 6,15 or 24.
Some famous people in the entertainment industry born on these dates are Subhash Ghai (24/01), Rakesh Roshan (06/09), Vinod Khanna (06/10), Ashutosh Gowariker, (24/01), Emraan Hashmi (24/03). Other Venus ruled Librans are Yash Chopra (27/09), Lata Mangeshkar and Ranbir Kapoor (both 28/09), Rekha (10/10), Smita Patil (17/10), Dev Anand (26/9), Sunny Deol (19/10), and many more! This creative side of his, coupled with his hard work, has made him reach where he is.
AB's a number 1 Amitabh's destiny adds up to 1 (one), that is (11+10+1942=1) which represents the powerful Sun. It represents leadership.
In fact 90 % of his films with Rekha (1) were super hits, and his bahu, Aishwarya (01/11/1973) is a number 1 too. The 8th Wonder Number 8 Saturn or Shani also governs all Librans.
It is known for making people go through trials and rewarding them. Big B had to endure 11 flops at the beginning of his career; son Abhishek is also governed by Saturn as all Aquarians are, and also had to pass through similar tests, with his first 13 films being duds at the box office.
While the senior Bachchan is wearing a blue Sapphire (neelam) to appease Saturn (it did revitalise his career from being down and out with ABCL losses, giving him "Mohabbatein" and then "KBC"), AB Junior is sporting an amethyst, a substitute to a blue sapphire. Librans and Aquarians are air signs, who may do better when away from their place of birth.
While Big B is away from UP, Abhishek is still in birthplace - Mumbai. But like the Big B himself says in KBC, "kissi ko bhi kam mat samajhna.
..
" maybe the new Bachchan will bring Junior B some much-needed luck!
(less)Shammiji was looking forward to the release of 'Rockstar': Ghai
But I did not expect that he will leave us like this. More than the industry's loss, this is my personal loss.
I was very close to him," Ghai told reporters outside the actor's residence in Malabar Hill in south Mumbai here. Directed by Ghai, Vidhaata starred Sanjay Dutt, Dilip Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Shammi Kapoor, Padmini Kolhapure, Amrish Puri, Madan Puri and Sarika.
It was the highest grossing movie of 1982. "Even at the age of 79, he was a representative of the youth.
His spirit was so young and youthful. He was an inspiration to the new generation," said Ghai.
Rockstar , which stars Ranbir Kapoor and American model Nargis Fakhri in the lead roles, is being helmed by Imtiaz Ali and is set to release on November 11. "He even told me about shooting with his grand-nephew Ranbir for his upcoming film Rockstar .
He had shot sometime back. He was very excited and was looking forward to the movie," added Ghai.

The song, which is sung by Akon and has been picturised on the leading lady of the movie Kareena Kapoor, has already been leaked online a few months ago. The brand played the song while showcasing their creation on the fourth day of IIJW held last week in Mumbai.
Actress Amrita Rao along with other models was seen walking the ramp for Agni, while the song played in the background. T-Series that owns the music rights of the film have sent a legal notice to the brand, asking for a compensation of Rs 2 crore.
Bhushan Kumar, the head honcho of the music label confirms the news, "Yes, we have sent a legal notice to Agni for using our unreleased song without prior permission. It is an illegal thing to do.
We are moving court and suing them for about Rs 2 crore. One needs to get a license to use any song for a show.
However, for an unreleased song you cannot even obtain a license." A source from SRK's production house Red Chillies Entertainment says, "SRK was livid when he learnt that the unreleased number has been used by the brand.
" The source further adds, "The scratch version of the song was leaked on the internet a few months ago, which was probably picked up by the jewellery brand. It is a very careless mistake.

PS: This isn't in any order. It totally depends on what you are in the mood for.
1 "Jaadu Hain Nasha Hain" ("Jism"). If this song doesn't stir up the sex, then nothing will.
The lyrics that would put Agent Provocateur to shame ("Dekhti Hai Jis Tarah Se Teri Nazrein Mujhe Main Khud Ko Chupaao Kahan") and visuals that just beg for a little role-play. 2 "Kaate Nahin Kat Teh" ("Mr India").
Guaranteed to get you going even before you've even started getting undressed. Raunchy, ribald and with enough juice to bring a ravenous smile to your face.
3 "Zara Zara Touch Me" ("Race"). If the mood is for nasty, dirty, imaginative passion, this one is for you.
The chorus goes, "Oooooo, Can I Touch Ya, Oooooo, Can I Get Ya". A little turned on just reading it, aren't you? 4 "Ooh La La Ooh La La" ("The Dirty Picture").
In a tearing hurry? The beat will compliment your willingness to be naughty, and it's quick enough to go wham-bam. Prepare for some carnal-craziness.
The song climaxes with a climax. 5 "Bheege Hont Tere" ("Murder").
Some parts are slow, but all parts sexy. It's the perfect foreplay song, where you can slowly strip and sashay to the rhythm.
6 "In The Night No Control" ("Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi"). A desi rip-off of the Laura Branigan classic works as the perfect song to switch dramatically from foreplay to instant gratification.
Works very well, when combined with No. 5.
7 "Dhak Dhak Karne Laga" ("Beta"). This is the song to get your kink on to the thumping beats of this intense desi wonder.
Reserved in the 'salty & sweaty' category. 8 "Jiya Jale" ("Dil Se").
Lutao your libido on this racy one! For those who like moving slowly between the sheets and then speeding up like you are in a rally, this track is just the right way for you. 9 "Raat Ka Nasha" ("Asoka").
The rhythm and melody in this song make sweet love. The ultimate aphrodisiac for anyone with a passive libido.
Perfect song to let the woman take charge. 10 "Chupke Se" ("Saathiya").
This one is for when you wake up in the mood. The lyrics streaming in with the first light of the sun; the morning still bedraggled, the room fervent with a bouquet of hunger.
Start slow, and stay steady. 11 "Hai Rama" ("Rangeela").
This track breathes raging sex. It is raw, animalistic and promises to help you bring out the masterstrokes in a rhythm.
All desi role-play is supported in this one. 12 "Jaane Do Na" ("Saagar").
An old classic that is more for the mature afternoon of passion. This one is all candles and aromas and you will want to hum every word as you tease to please.
13 "Humma Humma" ("Bombay"). This calls for Hollywood style love-making! Clothes are ripped off, objects are knocked over, glasses smash to the floor.
Grabbing, aching, biting, scratching, pushing..
. You get the picture? 14 " Zara Zara" ("RHTDM").
Dirty, naughty and totally fatal. For the women, unleash your wild side with these grooves.
For the men, sit back and enjoy. 15 "Kehti Hai" ("Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman").
Sexy silky vocals, subtly suggestive lyrics, and visuals of Shah Rukh Khan in a super-deep V neck makes this the perfect lotion of lyrical love. Just let it flow.
..
16 "Dheere Jhalna" ("Paheli"). Literally setting your loins on fire.
Earthy and rustic, basic and primal! Perfect to lose your virginity. 17 "Baahon Ke Darmiyaan" ("Khaamoshi") A slow dreamy sexual saga! Smooth and sensual, slow and seeped in syrup.
This isn't Bhansali's imagery - it's the magic of this lilting number that can loop endlessly on a full moon night
(less)Helen's first Marathi movie set for release on Dec 16
Helen, who has acted in hit movies like Khamoshi and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam in the last few years dubbed her dialogues in Marathi on her own. Tilekar said he was looking for a Catholic face to essay the role and was overwhelmed when Helen readily accepted his offer.
"Barring a few English lines, all Helenji's dialogues are in Marathi and I was surprised by her fluency in the language. She plays a Catholic woman living in a chawl (a group of one or two room housing units)," he said.
Tilekar said Helen's jest for life and her passion towards work would shame any young actor of today. "One will not believe that she is 75 years old.
" Apart from Bharat Jadhav, Bhargavi Chirmule, Ashalata and a host of Marathi actors, the film will also see veteran actor Shriram Lagoo in a special appearance. Tweet
(less)Music review: SRK's RA.One
To cut a long story short, the album delivers big-time as composer duo Vishal-Shekhar pack a killer punch. The film offers 14 tracks, including a few remixes and themes.
It kicks off on a superb note with the already popular number Chammak Challo . A clear winner, the song, which has Hindi, English and Tamil words in the lyrics, makes you groove with it instantly.
international popstar Akon sings in English and surprisingly well in Hindi, making Chammak Challo ride high on its novelty factor. Hamsika Iyer, who has sung for films like Raajneeti and Khoya Khoya Chand in the past, supports him beautifully, accompanying the English-Hindi vocals with a little Tamil strewn in.
Primarily a dance track, Chammak Challo is here to stay. The song also has a couple of remixes, but don't dismiss them as ordinary fare.
A Punjabi Mix adds some bhangra to the beats while DJ Khushi's version, simply titled Chammak Challo Remix , is explosive. A third, international version is what his fans will hear globally--this one is pure Akon, without Hamsika to accompany him.
Then comes Dildaara , a mush melody that seems slightly out of place in this electric (and eclectic), beat-heavy disc. Sung by Shafqat Amanat Ali, it has John Lennon's song Stand by me mixed into it; the makers, who bought the rights for Lennon's iconic song, have done a commendable job with this seemingly odd combination.
A surprise for many fans, Akon shines in his second song, called Criminal , a peppy and upbeat track that also has Vishal Dadlani and Shruti Pathak behind the mike. An amalgamation of Hindi and English lyrics, Criminal is a perfect party number.
Considering that Konvict was the name of Akon's debut album, and the one he remains most famous for, Criminal is one song that should sit right up there on his shelf. It also has a remixed version by DJ Amit.
Bhare naina is the soundtrack's dark horse. It will definitely make you sit up and take notice.
With a sublime cold opening, the track completely turns on its head to become one helluva haunting melody. Over 200 musicians of the famous Prague Philharmonic Choir were flown in from the Czech Republic for its orchestration, which makes it a one-of-its-kind coup for the Indian film industry; Bhare naina becomes the first Indian song to be composed and recorded off shore.
Nandini Srikar and Vishal-Shekhar add vocals to this near-perfect, soulful song. It's a steady, slow number that pans across genres; it's moody and it's brilliant.
Sidd Coutto's Right by your side is perhaps the only ordinary composition. Even then, it's fast-paced and peppy and will have you dancing.
Perhaps the song that defines the whole flavour of RA.One is Raftaarein .
If you thought Chammak Challo is the face of the film then Raftaarein is its soul. Beginning with a classy nod to RD Burman, Vishal Dadlani ramps up your adrenaline.
The RA.One theme we've been hearing in the trailer gets a 70's style treatment with some elekronica to boot.
Probably meant to be a situational song, Raftaarein leaves its mark by jumping out and gobbling the album whole. Up next is Jiya mora ghabraaye -- The Chase , a fusion of rock and semi-classical.
With strong arrangement and impressive vocals by Sukhwinder Singh and Vishal Dadlani, and the song will be liked by hard rock lovers. As the title suggests, its pacy and is meant to accompany a chase sequence in the film.
Three instrumental themes called Comes the light , I'm on --which is the main RA.One them--and a sad, slow Song of the end wrap up the album.
RA.One , therefore, lives up to expectations and perhaps even surpasses some.
It's more than worth it, it's a winner all the way. Tweet

(less)Dirty Dancing should get dirtier!
The film shocked the people of it's time by introducing dance moves that were deemed 'inappropriate.' Kenny Ortega, who choreographed the original's iconic numbers, has been called in to direct the remake.
Desi choreographers react to the news. Getting experimental on the dance floor Choreographer Longinus Fernandes aka Longi says, "I am thrilled to know that they are remaking Dirty Dancing.
I would love to see more elaborate dance styles like the Pasodoble, Salsa, Cha Cha Cha and Tango in the dance sequences. They should raise the bar and get dirtier on the dance floor, but it should be shot aesthetically.
" Choreographer Bosco adds, "Dirty Dancing was about attitude and sensuality. I hope the remake embodies that.
I would love to see Salsa and Contemporary dance in the remake, with a fusion of Hip Hop and Latin American for the finale." Just up the antenna Choreographers Remo D'Souza and Vaibhavi Merchant advocate sticking to the original script but introducing Latin American dance styles with a twist.
Remo says, "The movie had chemistry and sensuality because of the ballroom dance format, which was an intrinsic part of the film. I think they should continue with that and go with a Tango and a mix of Swing for the final song.
" Vaibhavi agrees and adds, "Dirty Dancing got its name because of its dance moves..
. they were seductive and sexual.
I don't think they should drastically change the dance styles as they are in keeping with the overall tempo of the film. However, what they can do is up the antenna by introducing Latin American dance styles with a contemporary twist.
" Choreographer-turned- director Farah Khan has her reservations about the remake. She says, "Dirty Dancing was an iconic film.
While the script wasn't great, it worked because the dances created magic and the music was very good. I don't think they can recreate that magic today.
Besides, the film worked with the youth because they identified with what the lead actors were going through. Apart from this, the dance sequences had shock value, which is no longer the case.
The current brand of pop divas and actors have pushed the envelope when it comes to shock value. I don't see how it can get dirtier than that.

(less)John as loggerheads with director Sanjay Gupta
Buzz is the movie's lead actor John Abraham and director Sanjay Gupta are at loggerheads over the opening sequence, which has the former making an abusive reference to the police force. Says the source: "The proposed prologue for Shootout At Wadala has been a source of dispute between the director and his leading man right from the start.
John thinks this won't go down well with his friends in the police department, but Gupta maintains that the film is not an exercise in public relations." Gupta says, "Yes, John does have a problem with the opening sequence, and he has expressed his misgivings openly.
Even Anil Kapoor, who is a part of the opening sequence, has expressed strong reservations about it. But I am quite sure this is the way it is meant to be.
I'm not changing the scene." Earlier the two apparently had a minor difference with regards to a song in the movie.
Says a source: "Mika, who had sung and composed the hit Ae Ganpat number for Shootout at Lokhandwala , was asked to write a new signature tune for its sequel, the opening of which would be identical to the first Ganpati song picturised on Vivek Oberoi. Since the sequel will see John in a tapori avatar for the first time, he didn't want it to have any resemblance to the old song.
John asked Gupta and Mika for a brand new Ganpati song. Gupta relented and came up with a mukhda: Dar dar ke nahin jeene ka.
..
Bhai bole to peene ka ..
." Apparently, John is so excited about this song now that he has decided to hire a dance teacher to help him master tapori-style steps before shooting for it.
But while the matter of the song has been amicable resolved, this opening sequence seems to have become a bone of contention between the two. Our source says both John and Gupta are standing their ground.

Shahid is excited to bring alive the aura of the iconic heroes, who entertained Hindi film fanatics for decades altogether. "I'm grateful to Zee for having approached me with such an interesting proposition.
It's a sheer privilege to pay homage to great men like Dev saab and Shammi ji. They are both exceptional and superlative talents who have made invaluable contributions to the world of Indian films," Shahid said in a press statement.
"If I can recreate even a fraction of their magic, I will consider it an accomplishment and a humble tribute to these luminaries," he added. (less)Subhash Ghai's 5-star hideout
Unable to rest with constant visitors thronging his place to check on his health, the filmmaker decided to shift base to a hotel. Ghai, who was operated at a famous Bandra hospital frequented by Bollywood celebrities, was discharged in a day.
"The operation went on fine and Ghai sahab was asked to take adequate rest. Gall bladder operation is not a minor thing and the surgical wounds take time to heal.
Everyone who knows him was concerned about his health. So, as soon as he went back home, friends started pouring in.
There were visitors coming in at all times to inquire about his health," revealed a source close to the filmmaker. The good wishes started taking a toll on Ghai.
So much so, that he started having sleepless nights. "It is impolite to turn back visitors, especially when they have come to check on one's health.
And Ghai sahab is very particular about these things. To avoid being rude, he decided to shift out of his home.
He wanted to recuperate in a place where people wouldn't know him. That's when he rented a room in the hotel," said the source.
"The hotel room became almost like his hospital room. His nurse and doctor attended to him there," he added.
Work too seems to have intruded his peaceful recuperation space. "He is a little better now and feels like discussing scripts and ideas with his writers.
So he calls them when he wants to and sits with them for as long as his health and his doctor permits. In fact, this way he can also decide when and who to meet," the source further added.
Ghai, who had been answering his calls with a 'not at home' reply of late, politely told Mumbai Mirror, "I have to stay outside since there are repair work taking place at my home. I am working on my script here with my team of writers.
I am perfect now and shall be back in my office by next week."

(less)Vidya dances 'Dirty' with Big B
The actress who graced Amitabh Bachchan's quiz show on television on Monday, was see grinning ear to ear on her way out. And that's not because she had won the prize money.
An eyewitness revealed to Mumbai Mirror, "Vidya was looking gorgeous in a blood red saree as she stepped in to the sets at Film City Goregaon. It was the same saree she is seen wearing in her film The Dirty Picture, the film she had come to promote on the show.
" Perhaps it was her saree or simply her charm, the host, Amitabh Bachchan ended up grooving with Vidya to her Ooh La La number from The Dirty Picture. "It was an impromptu performance.
Vidya just told Mr Bachchan 'Thoda Ooh la la karne ka man kar raha hai'. Bachchan laughed in his inimitable style.
He then immediately got up, stretched out his hand and they danced till they could not control their laughter," added the eyewitness. The impromptu dance sequence did not turn out the way Pony Verma had choreographed it in the Ekta Kapoor film.
"Bachchan started dancing in his own style. And Vidya had to match his steps," said the eyewitness.
According to sources, Vidya shares a great chemistry (both on and off screen) with the Big B ever since they worked in Paa together. "Yes, she took the liberty of asking Bachchan to dance with her.
But Bachchan certainly didn't mind it. In fact, he too seemed to be enjoying it quite a bit," concluded our source.
The episode is expected to be aired on November 10

(less)Will Aamir Khan launch Jackie Shroff's son?
We're fond of one another. I was shooting for Ananth Mahadevan's 'Life's Good' in Mahabaleshwar.
Aamir has a home there. He dropped in to see me twice.
As far as launching Tiger goes, I'd be really happy if it happens," said Jackie. Even Subhash Ghai has shown a keen interest in the boy.
In fact, Ghai's interest goes back to Tiger's childhood when he had made a pledge he would launch his friend and discovery Jackie's son whenever the boy was ready to take the plunge. But now there is a very interesting twist in Tiger's tale, with Bollywood's resident maverick-producer Aamir showing a keen interest in launching Tiger.
When asked about his son, Jackie said: "Tiger has turned out..
.decent.
Hasn't he? Yes, he has met Aamir Khan. To be launched by Aamir would be a big privilege.
Aamir is very fine producer, actor and human being. My boy would be in great hands.
However, Subhashji is also very keen. Do you know he had done Ayesha and mine kanyaadan? To unka Tiger pe haq banta hai.
Let's see..
." After playing bit roles in Dev Anand's "Swami Dada", Jackie got his big break with Subhash Ghai's "Hero".
Reminiscing about his own launch, the 51-year-old chuckles, "Tiger has it all laid out in front of him. When I had come into the industry, I had no one to guide me.
If Subhashji had not given me a break, I wonder what would've happened to me!"

(less)Sanjay Dutt cuts out RGV’s girl
That too, by lead actor of the film Sanjay Dutt . Reportedly, Sanjubaba was in no mood to spend those extra bucks on a song that too featuring the south Indian actress.
The song has now been scrapped and a Brazilian model has replaced Madhu in the film. A source close to the film informed Mumbai Mirror, "Ramu wanted to shoot an item number featuring Madhu Shalini and Ganesh Acharya was supposed to choreograph the song.
However, Dutt, who is also the co-producer of the film was not very keen to shoot such an expensive item song featuring a relatively unknown actor." "A Brazilian model has now been roped in for the song.
And since Dutt is busy shooting for Son Of Sardar in Patiala, this item number will now be shot in January," added the source. When contacted Ram Gopal Varma however said, "There is neither a song featuring Madhu Shalini nor a Brazilian model.
" Dharam Oberoi, Sanjay Dutt;s manager and producer of the film however, confirmed, "We are shooting a song with a Brazilian model in January as Sanju sir is busy with the shoot of Bigg Boss and Son Of Sardar." Denying having any knowledge about the song's earlier star Madhu Shalini, Oberoi added, "I am not aware of the song being picturised on anyone earlier.
As far as I am concerned, we are shooting it with the model. We recently finalised her, when she had come to meet Sanju sir.

(less)Mallika Sherawat to dance on Kolaveri Di?
The reason being the New Years Eve gives her the biggest opportunity to mint money (perhaps more that she earns in the entire year). So Mallika Sherawat, who started the trend of celebrities giving scintillating performances at 5-star hotels on New Years Eve, is back at her benchmark business.
This year too she will be giving a sexy-hot performance at a suburban 5-star hotel on the Jalebi Bai item song (her only claim to fame this year). But beyond her numbers, Mallika Sherawat has also claimed that she will be dancing on to the Tamil song ' Kolaveri Di ' which has almost become a national craze by now.
She seems to be much inspired by Dhanush's song but one wonders what scope does the slow number leave for a dancing act by Mallika? However, what needs to be seen is whether Mallika will be dancing to her recent popular South number ' Kala Sala ' from Osthi , which is the South remake of Salman Khan's Dabangg. Of course, you guessed it right that Mallika's Kala Sala is answer to Malaika's Munni Badnaam Hui .
And the rate at which the song is turning popular since its release on youtube, it is said to be Mallika's answer to Kolaveri Di . Well audiences would anytime prefer to see Mallika Sherawat in her answer to Kolaveri Di (the ' Kala Sala ' item number) over Kolaveri Di per se.
Isn't it?

(less)Now it’s the Bhojpuri ‘Don’ | Bollywood News and Gossip
It is one of the most iconic songs and without it, the film will be incomplete,” Ravi told IANS over phone from Mumbai. The Bhojpuri ‘Don’ will be the second remake of the yesteryear thriller as filmmaker Farhan Akhtar had adapted the script into its modern Hindi avatar “Don – The Chase Begins” in 2006.
Farhan’s film featured superstar Shah Rukh Khan and also had a new version of “Khaike paan…” picturised on Shah Rukh and Priyanka Chopra. He is also working on another sequel of the movie.
Ravi promises that the Bhojpuri version will be a complete sell-out among his fans. “My ‘Don’ will have a lot of Bhojpuri flavour in it.
Even Mr. Bachchan’s character in his film spoke in Bihari style, so I think my fans will be able to connect to the character very well.
It will have the signature Ravi Kishan style and a heady mix of emotion and romance,” he said. Sphere: Related Content Posted in

"I wanted both Khalnayak and Desi Girl to be part of my film. That is why they are part of the film," he said.
There was a lot of frenzy among his fans when Shah Rukh threw the audio CD album at the Royal Meenakshi Mall at the Bannerghatta Road. The superstar, who plays a super hero in the mega-budget "RA.

(less)I love dancing: John Abraham
But it happens rarely. It happens when I love the song and my company," John said at a recent event.
The actor has been dancing a lot lately thanks to the promotions of his forthcoming film " Desi Boyz ", releasing Friday. "Akshay and I have been dancing and doing our signature step of 'Desi Boyz' at every special appearance.
I am liking it so much. In the film also there are a number of songs where you will see me dancing.
One is 'Jhak maar ke', 'Subah hone na de' and the main song 'Desi Boyz'," the actor said
(less)Rakshi Sawant shoots for Tollywood item number
. the item girl, known as much for her generous hip-shaking as her not-so-generous comments off the dance floor, gave Kolkata a reason to put on its dancing shoes on Thursday.
In town for her first Tollywood item number in actor-turned-MP Satabdi Roy's " Om Shanti ", Rakhi Sawant did what she does best - fix all roving eyes on her! To begin with, her Tolly stint has left composer of the song - Samidh Mukerjee - mighty impressed. "Rakhi couldn't thank me enough for making a song on her.
She said she can dance to the number till 2 am!" he says. Samidh, who features in the video as a Rakhi admirer, had to exchange a garland made out of currency notes with the lady.
"I faltered quite a bit. That's when Rakhi said: 'Aap mere aankhon mein aankhen dalke kijiye'.
Whenever I would miss a step, Rakhi would more than make up for it. But all thanks to Shabina, the choreographer, that the item number has turned out so well," the composer adds.
Apart from work, there was also a lot of chherkhaani, Rakhi style. While the bombshell was keen on wearing Samidh's sunglasses for quite a few shots, she could use it for only one.
"In one of the scenes, she sports my glasses. She wanted it for the other shots as well.
But I told her that I have a show and can't do without my lucky charm," says Samidh. Rakhi chose not to sulk and carried on with the shoot, minus the glasses though

(less)Shahid to pay tribute to Shammi Kapoor, Dev Anand
Shahid is excited to bring alive the aura of the iconic heroes, who entertained Hindi film fanatics for decades altogether. "I'm grateful to Zee for having approached me with such an interesting proposition.
It's a sheer privilege to pay homage to great men like Dev saab and Shammi ji. They are both exceptional and superlative talents who have made invaluable contributions to the world of Indian films," Shahid said in a press statement.
"If I can recreate even a fraction of their magic, I will consider it an accomplishment and a humble tribute to these luminaries," he added. While Shammi, the Junglee, Professor and Bluff Master of Hindi cinema, died of prolonged illness Aug 14, the eternal, evergreen Dev Anand passed away Dec 4 following a cardiac arrest in London.
It will be interesting to see the songs that Shahid picks for his performance, considering both the yesteryear stars had some of Bollywood's best known classics to their credit. The Zee Cine Awards, to be hosted by Don Shah Rukh Khan and his Junglee billi , Priyanka Chopra, is expected to attract the who's who from Bollywood.
An aggressive worldwide marketing campaign is being launched by the channel to create a buzz about the event. The campaign will cut across outdoors, print, radio, on-air promotions and interactive contests, as well as the digital space.

(less)Shah Rukh Khan charms Lucknow
The Shah Rukh fever was evident at the airport as fans gathered there in large numbers to catch the first glimpse of King Khan. A fan also lay down in front of SRK's car and refused to budge till the star signed an autograph for him.
The charmer that he is, SRK, gladly obliged and only then did his cavalcade move ahead. The same frenzy of fans was witnessed at the mall too where people stepped on toes, nudged and pushed their through the jam packed atrium to get as close to the stage as possible.
Girls, women and men screamed a chorus of 'Shah Rukh' as he stepped on to the stage. ""Adaab Lucknow"" were his first words which was met with a resounding ""adaab"" by the audience.
Expressing his regret in reaching Lucknow late SRK thanked the people for giving him a warm welcome. SRK then introduced Priyanka and said.
""Inhe toh aap special welcome dijiye. Yeh toh aapke Lucknow ki hi hain.
She has studied in La Martiniere College here and loves the city,"" which was followed by a flying kiss and waving from Priyanka for the crowd. Saying the dialogues from his film ""Don-2"" Shah Rukh entertained the crowd and also serenaded Priyanka on stage.
The two danced on the song ""Zara Dil Ko Thaam Lo"" and the crowd went berserk in trying to capture each and every moment on their mobile phones and cameras. ""I have always wanted to come to Lucknow and I'm so glad to be here,"" said he.
""Yahan ki tehzeeb, mehmaan-nawaazi ke bare mein maine itna suna tha ki mujhe yahan aana hi pada,"" said he. The crowd too craned their necks and leaned on the railing to catch a glimpse of the stars.
So much so that when Farhan pointed out the same to SRK, he requested people to step away from the railing. ""Please don't fall off the railing.
I know you love me but I won't want anyone of you to get hurt,"" he urged. Shah Rukh, Priyanka, Farhan and Ritesh later addressed a press conference and spent the night at a local hotel where they sampled the Tunde Kababs, biryani, qorma and phirni which SRK ahd been wanting to have ever since he had come to Lucknow.
The four then left for Patna the next day at noon. THE ETERTNAL CHARMER: After charming the crowd outside SRK and team headed inside for the press con where he rendered the journos toungue tied with his classic rejoinders.
Dodging the repeated questions of an eager fan of who according to SRK, was the number one hero in Bollywood SRK replied, ""Darling I've heard your question, just wait a few moments. Aap baar-baar na poochhen mein aapko zaroor jawab doonga,"" adding, ""I'm not part of the number game.
So I don't know who is number one and number two. Isn't that for you people to decide?"" On being asked the reason for people to watch ""Don 2"" SRK in his non-chalant style said, ""Apne munh mein apni tareef kaise karun.
But jokes apart. This story takes forward the previous film and you all must watch it.
"" A few more questions followed and suddenly Shah Rukh said.""Weren't we supposed to be felicitated?"" leaving everyone flummoxed and a scramble ensued as people hurried to get the bouquets to give to the stars.
Munching on popcorn the four then answered questions patiently. Having avoided the question of supporting Anna Hazare till now, SRK answered the same very diplomatically saying it was for the government to decide the issue and he was too small a person to comment on it.
'As far as my contributing to the cause monetarily, I feel that is too small an issue and should not be discussed so frivolously and casually,"" he said turning to Priyanka to and asking ""Was I okay with my reply?"" to which she replied, ""You answered very well"" followed by nod of approval from Farhan too. A keen journo then commented on SRK's looks these days.
Sporting a ponytail and stubble SRK exuded a rugged charm. Not agreeing with the charming bit SRK said.
""This look has been sported for the film. And these days when I get up and look at myself in the mirror, I also get scared because my hair is all tousled and standing on my head and my kids complain that my stubble hurts them when I cuddle them.
"" Talking of children someone mentioned SRK's promise of quitting smoking. On this too he said, ""I'm trying to do that and I have also cut down on the number of cigarettes I smoke.
Mainly this is because of my kids who don't like my smoking. Insha Allah I soon will be able to give up the habit completely.
"" It was as of the other three were forgotten but Farhan too was asked if a sequel to his first film ""Rock On"" was in store for the audience. Looking relieved at being asked at least one question Farhan relied, ""I would love to make as sequel of ""Rock On"" but I still haven't thought of it.
I first want ""Don 2"" to be successful and then I have ""Bhaag Milkha Bhaag"" to concentrate on and only then will I think of my directorial projects."" Asked if the audience would see Shah Rukh and Priyanka in any other projects of his apart from the ""Don"" series Farhan said he loves the two and would definitely cast both or either if the role required them.
Meanwhile Shah Rukh and Priyanka nodded their heads in refusal and said they would 'only' like to be cast in the ""Don"" series. Priyanka meanwhile reminisced her stay in Lucknow as a kid and said, ""I have studied in the La Martiniere Girls' College here in Lucknow and I have very fond memories of the city.
I'm glad I came here during winters because Mumbai mein toh sardi ka mazaa aata hi nahi hai. I'm loving the weather here and now I'm going to snuggle into my razai and enjoy the kababs anb biryani,"" she said
(less)I've become very commercial: Chitrangda Singh
. says Chitrangda Singh, who has cemented her place in mainstream cinema by doing an item number It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that Chitrangda Singh is the new sex siren on the block.
After all, the actor who was hitherto known for her critically acclaimed roles in films like Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi , is now gearing up to set the mercury soaring with a hot item number in the Akshay Kumar- and Sonakshi Sinha-starrer Joker. The song, which is titled Kaafirana , will be Chitrangda's first item number.
"Yes, I'm doing an item number and it was a very different experience grooving to the beats of Kaafirana. Choreographer Farah Khan, of course, helped me.
The song is very Indian and rustic and I enjoyed moving to the number. I have become very commercial now," laughs Chitrangda.
Though she is loving every bit of her new image, Chitrangda is still getting used to the ways of commercial cinema. "It's a great change as all this naach-gaana is something that I have not done so far.
I am still learning the ropes of commercial cinema and getting used to how crowds mob stars," she says. Is it true that Chitrangda was initially very nervous about working with Akshay for her upcoming film? "I was anxious.
Firstly, I was working with someone who has already done some 120 commercial films. I was new to the whole scheme of things.
I was very nervous and my onscreen character was just the opposite. It took time to register that I was indeed working with him.
But commercial cinema is fun," she says. And what about the reports that were doing the rounds about her having problems with her other co-star, Deepika Padukone ? "I don't know where these reports come from.
We hardly have any scenes together in the film and we don't have any problems with each other," says Chitrangda. Now that the actor has made a foray into commercial cinema, will she continue doing parallel cinema as well? "I would like to juggle both kinds of cinema," she says.
So what will her priority be? "Well, my priority will be good films and performance-oriented roles. I want to go back home with something nice in my kitty," she says

(less)Celina Jaitly learns German
She's learning German as she plans to do a film in the language after her baby is born. She tells us from Dubai, "I am using my pregnancy to learn German from a private tutor thrice a week at home.
And I'm not just doing it for Peter (he's Austrian) and the babies but also to do international films. After being on the jury of the Cairo Film Festival, I have been exposed to some amazing world cinema.
And I feel it's good to be part of such features, too." Does this mean she plans to quit Hindi films? "No!" Celina exclaims, adding, "Hindi films are my life.
I just wanted to dabble in world cinema as I find it interesting." The actress flew to Dubai last month for medical checkups as she hasn't been keeping too well
(less)Katrina Kaif in the Helen act
One look at the song, and we could not help but note the striking similarities with Helen's classic hit `Mungda' which too has been shot in a similar atmosphere. And here's some more dope for fans.
Katrina, who looks ravishing to say the least, has three costume changes in the song. One of them- the yellow saree and the chequered choli - is exactly the same as what Helen wore for her track.
The melody is also reminiscent of a Marathi chartbuster Kombdi padali from Jatra which incidentally had the same music directors Ajay and Atul. Another striking feature of the song is the energy Katrina brings to her dance movements.
It seems Sheila has primed her for the all-out desi jhatkas and she looks as though she is enjoying herself. The promos of the song are all set to be aired from next week

One song that always puts you in a good mood? Suspicion by Elvis and Yaar Bina Chain Kaha Re from Sahib. What's playing on your mp3 player at the moment? Nouvelle Vague's Dance With Me, Parov Stelar's Chambermaid Swing and How To Increase Your Memory, a self-help audio book.
A music icon you would love to meet and why? Leonard Cohen, because he is smarter and wiser than I will ever be, so there's lots to learn. Music to you is.

..
Billy Joel, because I was the lead singer in my school band and always sung his songs and never won. So hopefully with him around, it would sound better
(less)Bollywood actresses get wooed by Lavni!
Soon the duo recomposed 'Kombdi palali' in Hindi and Katrina took 'chikni chameli' to another level. Post Madhuri Dixit , Lavni almost disappeared only to make a comeback through Karan Malhotra's Agneepath.
Vidya Balan is the next to attempt a lavni, her first item number in Ferrari Ki Sawaari. The crew members of Ferrari Ki Sawaari say that the aim of the song is not to be 'sexy' and draw the attention of the crowd.
Instead they have gone for a more 'aesthetic' look. Vidya will be performing a Lavani number - a cocktail of matkas and jhatkas.
The makers of the song are insistent that this Item Number will be different from the item number from Agneepath , with the oomph factor being downplayed by the aesthetics of Vidya's dance. Rani Mukherjee will be dancing on Vaibhavi Merchant's tunes as she too does a lavni in Aiyya , her forthcoming Hindi film
(less)Katrina Kaif's bloody item song
And after a sizzling Sheila, bindass Bodyguard and Chikni Chameli , she's only gotten better at it. But fame, as always, comes at a price.
zoOm's sources recently revealed that the shooting schedule for her item song for Agneepath was rather demanding and stretched over long hours. So much so, that while shooting for the song, Kat got blisters and her feet started bleeding.
Worried about her condition, her staff asked the choreographer to stop the shoot. Packing up for the day would have meant sending Hrithik Roshan and Sanjay Dutt home, too.
But Katrina proved to be a thorough professional and insisted that the actors needn't worry about her. She resumed her dance in no time, and completed the shoot as planned.
Looks like this Chameli gave it her 100 per cent, no aadha, pahua here!
