I'll not stop for anybody: Deepika Padukone
"I live life on my own terms. I have certain goals that I have set for myself, I want to achieve those goals and I expect a lot from myself.
I'm extremely ambitious and I will not stop for anything or anybody. I am a go-getter and I am very rarely satisfied with what I do, " Deepika told.
The 24-year-old, who was at the Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM studio in the capital to promote her film "Lafangey Parindey", says she may have achieved a lot of success in no time, but it motivates her to continue doing good work.
"It is still the beginning for me. I have just done around seven films.
So there is a lot more that I want to do, a lot more films, work with a lot of directors, give a lot of hit films and get hit songs to my credit which I can perform to later. I know I have come a long way from where I started, but still I have a lot to achieve, " she said.
Deepika, the daughter of legendary badminton ace Prakash Padukone, stepped into showbiz as a model and started her movie career with Kannada movie "Aishwarya" in 2006, after which she made a dream debut in Bollywood opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Farah Khan's "Om Shanti Om". She followed up the success of her first film with "Bachna Ae Haseeno", "Love Aaj Kal" and "Housefull".
She is seen as a blind woman in her just released "Lafangey Parindey". "But what the film is going to do for me professionally, I will have to see after it releases and stays in theatres for a while.
For now, the only thing I know is that it has been the most challenging film for me physically, mentally and emotionally, " said Deepika who plays Pinky, a visually challenged girl with an ability to dance on skates. Up next after this Pradeep Sarkar film will be a tough phase for Deepika as two of her awaited projects - Danish Aslam's romantic comedy "Break Ke Baad" and Ashutosh Gowariker's period drama "Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey" - will release at a space of one week.
"My next film is 'Break Ke Baad' with Imran Khan. It will release in the last week of November, and exactly a week after that, it will be time for 'Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey' on Dec 3.
..
tough time", " said Deepika. Her "Break Ke Baad" is a romantic comedy while in "Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey", Deepika will portray the role of revolutionary activist Kalpana Dutta, who took part in the Chittagong uproar for Indian independence in the 1930s.
The film is said to be based on the book "Do And Die" by Manini Chatterjee, the daughter-in-law of Kalpana Dutta, and Deepika will sport a sari-clad, non-glamorous look in the film

Azim looks up to Salman, SRK and Aamir Khan
To make his character in "Qasam Se Qasam Se" appear realistic, Azim frequented call centre offices to absorb the finer nuances of the people working there. "It was quite a relevation for me as an actor.
I witnessed not only people's mannerisms but also the activities they indulge in during the break hour. Looking into the mirror, some guys would be busy ruffling their hair and taking care of their looks, while some would busy binging.
And there would others catching up with family and friends over their cell phones. This has helped shaped my character in the film.
" Azim feels that all our veteran actors were keen observers and would translate that on screen. "Whether it were the legendary actors like Dilip Kumar or the late Raj Kapoor or Dev Anand , they were schools in themselves.
I am a great fan of Salman Khan , Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan and look at them as a student who looks upon his guru. I am mastering the art of acting watching their films," he smiles

(less)I never thought I'd be a desirable woman: Sameera Reddy
"My name in the list means a lot to me. As as a young girl, I never thought even in my wildest dreams that I would become a desirable woman.
I yearned for a perfect body as I was ugly duckling in school. But now that I have entered films, I believe that beauty is hidden in the imperfections of people and it all depends on how you use them.
That's my definition of desirable and I am glad to have made it to the list," says Sameera. The actor is basking in the success of her last Tamil release opposite Madhavan and has Padma Shri Priyadarshan's Tezz to look forward to.
Sameera has now decided that she will do a mix of performance-oriented and glamorous characters on screen, something that Simran and Jyothika did in Kollywood. So is the report true that Sameera wants to become the next Simran and Jyothika? "You cannot become another person.
I had said that I look up to both Simran and Jyothika, who had a mixed bag of roles- performance-oriented and cute characters. Both had their own fan following .
They are my role models and I want to have a beautiful lineup of characters like them," says the actor
(less)Sherlyn Chopra likes being unconventional
Be it politics, cinema, sports, business or any other arena, women across the globe including India are in great form mentally, physically and consciously to undertake greater responsibilities and tougher challenges that are often encountered on paths less travelled." Sherlyn is also happy that she has gone from being just a pin-up girl to an entrepreneur.
Says she, "The rapid metamorphosis in my case would not have been possible had the mindsets of the majority of the people in the Hindi film industry continued to be goverened by prejudices. I look upto entrepreneurs who command respect and attention for daring to think out of the box and act accordingly.
They do not have a herd mentality. What they have is unadulterated creativity which is set on fire by courage.
" Naming films like " The Dirty Picture ", " Erin Brokovich ", " No One Killed Jessica "," The Black Swan " as cinema that has changed the way we think, Sherlyn says, "Unconventionality is no longer a taboo. It is being applauded and celebrated by both the classes and the masses.
The pulse of the youth is racing towards liberalisation. And I'm truly loving it.
" Asked why she decided to give us photographs that resembled those of the " Jism 2 " campaign, the actor quips, "I have pushed the envelope by choosing to cover my nakedness with nothing but pure consciousness."

If that wasn”t enough she also carried herself on shinning red heels and a matching red color bag. Thankfully Priyanka Chopra and Mugdha Godse too were present and were looking extremely stunning and beautiful.

"I had a blast at NYU. Everyone was so enthusiastic, they put on a very polished, confident show, and the surprise flash mob at the end was perfectly executed.
My best wishes to all the students involved," Imran said in a statement. The students had been practising for the performance for over two weeks, ahead of Imran's visit to New York as part of the promotional tour.
"As the president of NYU Dillagi, a Bollywood dance team, I knew we had to have simpler steps that the general public would be able to do and we sent videos out to the public. I thought that the flash mob came out even better than expected since people kept joining the mob throughout the sequence and it definitely surprised those that did not know of it ahead of time," Mohit Chhatpar, coordinator of the flash mob, said.
"It was really fun to be doing a flash mob and having Imran among us was all the more fun. He was very sporting and interacted with the students.
We are excited about this movie as well and are glad he could come and be among us to talk about his movie," he added. The Dharma Productions' film, also starring Kareena Kapoor, is set to hit theatres Feb 10.

(less)Mohit Suri to direct Aashiqui 2 with fresh faces
"It's been 20 years for that film. So, obviously now I will have to upgrade this story.
It will be the same realistic love story but with a modern theme," Suri told IANS. Aashiqui won critical accolades after its release at the time.
It also catapulted the careers of lead actors Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal, who forayed into Bollywood with this film. Suri is also set to hunt for new faces for the sequel.
"I will cast fresh faces with a new boy and a new girl," said Mohit. While some are referring to Aashiqui 2 as a sequel, others are calling it a remake.
However, producer Mukesh Bhatt of Vishesh Films sets the record straight. "It is neither a sequel nor a remake.
It can be said as the musical series of Aashiqui ..
.a new generation is making this film," he said.

'Desi Boyz' is nothing like 'Dostana': Deepika Padukone
Not at all! In fact the first film that comes to my mind when I see Akshay Kumar and John Abraham together is Garam Masala because that got them together for the first time. But let me tell you that Desi Boyz is not in the same space as Dostana or even Garam Masala.
Just because it's a film about male bonding, it doesn't have to be like Dostana. After two films with Akshay Kumar we were expecting your pairing with him over John Abraham.
Exactly! Even the audiences would have assumed the same which would have made it a predictable casting. So director Rohit Dhawan thought there would be fresh chemistry with the pairing of John and me.
So did you miss sharing screen-space with Akshay Kumar? I didn't actually, because in the film we three (Akshay, John and me) team up to do a lot of things together. So we have a lot of common scenes.
How pampered were you by the Desi Boys? Oh, I was extremely pampered, especially by John who likes taking care of everyone close to him. Akshay Kumar of course has been a great support.
Though I might have not done my first film with him, he was there for me in the initial stage of my career. I have done two big films with him and so there is that familiarity and comfort factor between the two of us.
Without being diplomatic and if you had to choose only one - who would you say is hotter between Akshay and John? I think it's an invalid question because both are good looking guys and extremely charming. Does Rohit Dhawan take ahead his father's style of comedy filmmaking? It is too soon to say how good a filmmaker he is or whether he is like his father or not.
Of course he has learnt a lot from David Dhawan and other filmmakers since he has grown up in the industry. But, I would say, he has an identity of his own and Desi Boyz is entirely his film.
There were stories that you and Chitrangda Singh shared cold vibes. I think these are just stale boring gimmicks and the publicist of film should think of some innovative ideas to promote the film

And then the silence was broken with cacophony of giggles and laughter, as zoOm launched its new show, 'indiatimes STAR CHITCHAT'. But first let's tell you about the lovely Ms.
Dee's act of violence. Apparently, the anchor of the show, Vivaan, had worked with Deepika in Karthik Calling Karthik , and the actress shared a little trivia about her first interaction with him.
And yes, it all started with a thappad. "My first shot for the film was with Vivaan and I had to slap him in that scene," she explained.
She went on to say, "Since it's the first episode of this show, I'll begin with slapping Vivaan." Of course, this one was only for good-luck, and thankfully, there was no retake either.
As the show went on, our phone lines didn't stop ringing, as calls poured-in from across the country. Deepika sweetly answered every call and even promised to meet some of her fans.

(less)'Joker' is not comedy: Shrish Kunder
Maybe because of the word 'Joker', it is presumed as a comedy. But even 'Mera Naam Joker' was not a comedy," the 38-year-old posted on micro-blogging site Twitter.
Starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles, the film is set for a 2012 release. Kunder, married to choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan, denied the film was inspired by 2010 Hollywood film " Alice in Wonderland ".
He says the only thing common between both the projects is the fantasy factor. "Joker" is being jointly produced by Kunder and Farah's Three's Company and Akshay Kumar's Hari Om Entertainment Co.
In the past, Kunder has edited films like "Main Hoon Na" and "Om Shanti Om". His debut directorial movie "Jaan-E-Mann" released in 2006
(less)I have a lot of respect for Chitrangda: Deepika
But considering the height and size differences between the two actresses, people on the sets are bemused over reports of them squabbling over an outfit. A source from the film's dress department says, "Deepika is thinner and taller than Chitrangda.
They could never fit into the same dress even if they wanted to." When asked point blank if she has issues with Chitrangda, Deepika says, "I have read those reports and it's quite silly.
It makes us look so immature. We're not kids.
She is my senior and I have a lot of respect for her. I admire her for carving a niche in offbeat cinema.
" Deepika adds, "We have just one scene together and we spoke a lot on the day we shot it. Most of our conversation revolved around golf.
Her husband Jyoti Randhawa is a world famous golfer and my sister Anisha, who is a golfer herself, admires Jyoti. She even showed me a picture of her son, who is adorable.

(less)Had to be expressionless for RA.One: Arjun Rampal
He also says that his much-talked about look in the film was intentionally kept under wraps till Dussehra. The plan was to gradually let Arjun's character come into the public eye.
Says a source: "There was a certain amount of concern regarding Arjun's missing presence in the publicity. But Shah Rukh Khan and Arjun had the villain's look, projection and publicity worked out in complete detail.
Arjun knew his time would start after Dussehra." "That was always the strategy.
To reveal my character after Dussehra when traditionally Raavan/RA.One is vanquished," said Arjun.
Arjun says he had no trepidation about being left out of the publicity. "Shah Rukh and I have discussed how my character would be introduced to the public.
I play the title role and we both knew what a challenge it was for me." "Since I played a villain from the virtual world, my character couldn't convey any emotions.
I had to appear absolutely expressionless on screen. It wasn't easy," he adds.
Sources say that Shah Rukh and Arjun have stuck a rather unusual deal. According to them, Shah Rukh has convinced Arjun to play the main antagonist in the films he produces.
"It started with Om Shanti Om where Arjun played the producer who kills Deepika Padukone and SRK. "Now in RA.
One again, Arjun agreed to play the 'virtual' villain. And SRK has promised Arjun's character in RA.
One the kind of buildup until release that so far only the hero imself got in Red Chillies production," he adds. Tweet

He has even changed his trainer to help him achieve the body he wants to flaunt in D3. The trainer who helped Shah Rukh Khan get his six-pack abs in Om Shanti Om and Ajay Devgn his lean and mean physique in Singham - Prashant Nakwe has been roped in to whip AB Junior into shape.
And in just one month, he has managed to make AB's Baby shed nine kilos! Says a source close to Abhishek, "He's had a couple of trainers in the past but he wasn't that committed to working out. It was during the recent Jaipur shoot of Bol Bachchan with co-star Ajay Devgn that got him hooked on to it seriously.
Since then he has been religiously working out for two hours every day. Last week, Bachchan Jr had to shoot a tough action scene for Players so he trained extra hard.
Everyone is now talking about the suddenly-fit Abhishek. At his Diwali party recently, the guests complimented him on his toned physique.
" The toughest part for the actor has been giving up sweets. Reveals an insider, "He's cut off mithai completely from his diet.
It's a big deal as he loves meetha. He wants a lean physique and is not interested in six or eight packs but in building a completely natural bod, without the help of steroids.
" Abhishek confirms getting a new trainer to help him achieve his target, "Being a visual medium I believe we must look our part. I personally like an athletic body.
In order to achieve this you don't need to stop eating. You need to eat sensibly and the right amounts.
Don't go overboard. And if you do, it's not the end of the world, just burn it off in the gym.
The most important thing to do in the gym is to set yourself a target and work relentlessly to achieve it. Yes, it is difficult.

(less)Kangna Ranaut's excited to do a double role
Says a trade source, "Bollywood has often seen male actors play double roles. Amitabh Bachchan , Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan , Shahid Kapoor , Anil Kapoor , and Govinda have pulled off double roles with aplomb.
Fewer heroines, though, have been given this honour." When you talk of women in double roles, Sridevi in Chaalbaaz, Madhuri in Sangeet, Kajol in Dushman and Kuch Khatti, Kuch Meethi, Deepika Padukone in Om Shanti Om as well as Chandni Chowk To China and Priyanka Chopra in What's Your Rashee come to mind immediately.
Joining them now, will be Kangna. Kangna confesses, "I can't give out much on the story, but yes, I am playing a double role in the TWM sequel.
It is going to be a bigger and better film; I'm really excited!" There's a lot more to be excited about. She has been shooting for Rakesh Roshan's Krrish-3 that went on the floors earlier this month.
The curly-haired actress plays a super-girl in the film. Almost breathless with excitement, she gushes, "Krrish-3 has taken all my time, my life and energy.
" This year has been a fantastic year for this young, thinking actress. She had multiple releases including the hits Tanu Weds Manu and Double Dhamaal .
She has replaced Vidya Balan in Dedh Ishqiyaa. Her name also figures on the wish list of reputed filmmakers like Vishal Bhardwaj and Ekta Kapoor.
However, her crowning glory at this juncture is that she has a double role in the TWM sequel. Director Aanand Rai feels that Kangs was the backbone of the original and is happy that the script makes place for "two of her" in the sequel.
Reiterating Bollywood's faith in the fiery actress' ability, trade guru Taran Adarsh says, "Kangna has always managed to surprise her audience with her diversity. She took up challenges early in her acting career.
2011 has been telling because she shed that neurotic image she had cultivated with Gangster, Woh Lamhe and Fashion, and proved that she can be versatile.'' "Kangna's among the few current actresses who has the versatility to pull off a double role.
Her spirited performance was the best thing about Tanu Weds Manu and it'll be interesting to see how she creates two entirely different characters for the sequel," says leading film critic Rajeev Masand
(less)Deepika: I was very keen on being an actor
"She's so pretty, we've seen all her films," gushed 21-year-old Preeti. After a substantial wait, Deepika welcomed us into a small meeting room in an entertainment channel's office where she was busy giving interviews.
Dressed in a fitted sequined cocktail dress, high heels and hair and make-up to boot, in the middle of the afternoon, seemed a little disorienting but did justice to her toned figure. Greeting us with a warm smile, she towered above everyone.
The star-struck twins started, "You look beautiful. How crazy has the promotion schedule been like?" With a smile and an exasperated expression said, "It's absolutely manic.
Yesterday we started our day in Chandigarh, took a charter plane to Ludhiana, made it to Amritsar by road before finally heading home. I optimistically called my trainer and told her I'll come in at 9 am.
But I barely made it out of bed. Sometimes it's relaxed, but sometimes many things need to be packed in into a month or two.
" "Which films did you really enjoy?" Deepika asked. "OSO and Break Ke Baad was our favourite," they said almost in unison.
The girls wanted to know how she felt debuting with Shah Rukh. "I was stunned.
I first met Farah while she was rehearsing for a song. She said, 'Lets see how you do.
The lead actor is SRK.' She had only seen me in a Himesh (Reshamiya) video before then.
At the time Shah Rukh was working on Chak de!, so I had a year to prepare. Once I knew it was him, I didn't want any other role, so I really worked hard.
I took Kathak classes, worked out. I remember the first time I met him, Farah took me to his house, and now things have changed, but back then, everything was white.
White sofa, curtains..
. and I in total Yash Chopra style, wore a white chicken suit with a chiffon dupatta, and tried to camouflage myself.
I pretended to be really cool, so I started flipping a book, but I was freaking out. I sat stiff as a board," she said, laughing.
Rati asked her how she felt being called the hottest girl on earth. Deepika replied nonchalantly, "It's nice to hear that but I'm not very conscious about it.
" "How and why did you switch from being a sportswoman to an actor?" asked Preeti. "I was very keen on being an actor.
If I saw Madhuri dance around in Switzerland, I liked to believe I could do it too. I wasn't fanatic about it; I wouldn't practise in front of a mirror.
So when the opportunity presented itself, I took it. But I'm very attached to sports.
I grew up going for practice everyday at 5 am, for four hours a day. Now that I feel like I have some influence, I like to support sports as much as possible," she said.
As they wrapped up, Rati asked, "Would you head to Hollywood?" Deepika replied, "I would like to, but offers here are so good that they really need to match up."

Yes, the Big B will do a thriller for Ashu in April 2012. Ashu confims the news to BT, saying, "I am doing a detective film with Amitji.
I am still casting the second detective and will announce the project after that. The film is about two detectives who solve a case.

(less)Ranbir & I are still friends: Deepika Padukone
There's the rom-com Desi Boyz, the action thriller Race 2, a new age love story Cocktails, Rajnikanth's Rana and an untitled big banner production that will be announced soon. She's way ahead of most of her contemporaries and industry opinion states that she is one of the next superstars of this generation.
BT finds out what's been keeping her on her toes lately. After Love Aaj Kal you are back again with Saif Ali Khan in Aarakshan and then Cocktails.
Buzz is that there is a bond developing between you two. Love Aaj Kal is a very special film for me.
Post that, Saif and I are coming together in a couple of more films. I am glad filmmakers have offered us roles together.
There is certainly a comfort level with Saif as we have worked together. There is always a certain comfort level when you have already worked with an actor and I'm glad that post the success of Love Aaj Kal, people want to see us in more films together.
Talking of the comfort level between co-stars, after Om Shanti Om why hasn't Shah Rukh Khan worked with you again? SRK said to me once at a party that the film we did was so big and special that our next film has to be as big or bigger. He'll always be my most special co-star, and when the time is right I am sure something will happen.
You've said that Ranbir Kapoor is still a close friend, but on Karan Johar's show it didn't seem so. What has changed between now and then? Nothing has changed.
We were friends then and we are friends now. If you sign a film with Ranbir, it will automatically become one of the most anticipated films.
Do you see that happening? Why not? It should happen. Does Sidhartha (Mallya) watch all your films? I don't think he's watched too many Hindi films.
What makes for a romantic relationship? First of all to love with all your heart without expecting. Also, trust, compatibility, space, patience and no ego.
Do you have a 3am friend in the industry? I would pick up the phone and call Shahana (Goswami), Neelie, Imran and Avantika (Khan), RK (Ranbir Kapoor), Ayaan (Mukerji) and Dinesh Vijan. Recently in Zoom's popular star survey you featured high up.
Your Dum Marro Dum song, though controversial, worked big time with the youth. What connects you so strongly with them? I owe it to my choice of films and endorsements.
Also as I mentioned earlier, since childhood I have been extremely focused, ambitious and sure of what I want to do. Today's youth is also focused and ambitious, so I guess they feel a connect in that sense.
Actresses are either beautiful or they are hot. You are one of the rare ones who is often referred to as both.
What do you think helps more: being beautiful or hot ? Being hot or beautiful is the way you feel at a given point of time, but what is more important is to be a good human. That's what people remember you for.
That's what lasts. You are 25 and have just bought one of the most expensive homes in the city.
How does it feel to have achieved this at such a young age? I do feel a small sense of achievement because I have worked hard for it. (less)Rehab healed me: Vikram Chatwal
He publicly declared his love for Gisele with a Gtattoo on his arm. Then came his dream-like fairytale wedding in 2006, which was attended by Bill Clinton and Deepak Chopra.
Recently, he's been in the news after being spotted with Lindsay Lohan and the tabloids have been quizzing him on his relationship with her. New York's poster boy, billionaire hotelier Vikram Chatwal in this exclusive interview talks about the break-up of his marriage to Priya Sachdev, his addiction problem and his friendship with Lindsay Lohan.
He confesses frankly, "I've been confused, but I've sorted myself. I'm in control of my life again.
I'm going to be serious about my business plans. Life's been tough.
But I'm strong-willed." Priya and I are separated.
..
"I was too young when I got married. Priya and I wanted different things from the marriage.
We had different goals and expectations from life. I grew up with Western values.
My heart was confused, marriage made me realise what I really wanted from life. Once the baby was born, I realised we had matured into different people.
Priya and I are separated. We're amicable and remain good friends, for we have to meet frequently for our daughter Safira.
" My wild party days are over "I have grown up. I was a wild party boy.
Not anymore. My partying days are over.
It's not my priority anymore. I'm focusing on my hotels.
It's not party fatigue, but I've just slowed down. I want to spend time with my daughter rather than party all night long.
I'm notseen on Page Six too much. I'm mature about things now and I really want to be seen as a serious business guy.
My focus is my hotel chain right now." Last few years have been tough "I've been wondering about the choices I've made and what I want from life.
The decision-making has been tough. I asked myself what I wanted to do.
I had to balance my time between films, hotels and family. It's been challenging thinking about my options.
I followed my heart. The last few years have been tough, but they taught me to make choices that made me truly happy.
It was essential to live for the moment. I'm still a hopeless romantic.
Do things that give you real pleasure. I've been thinking a lot about my future lately.
I want to do things differently, and I want to do them right." I kicked my addiction 'As I was getting older, I realised I wanted to opt for things that were healthy for me.
I went to rehab to get rid of my addiction. When I was going through my most difficult time, I became an introvert; I was addicted, I closed up completely.
I wouldn't share what was going on inside me with anybody. I was silent.
The rehab helped me find a release. I was healed.
I was comfortable in telling everyone what I felt inside. The biggest strength I got was from talking about my problem, which really gave me the strength to kick it.
Life is about tackling problems that come your way." Bollywood calling .
..
"I want to make great hotels and do films. Currently, I'm talking to Shekhar Kapur for a film.
My film, Days of Grace made it to Cannes this year. I want to continue acting and producing films.
It's my big high." My angel Safira "She's changed me completely.
I try to spend four months in a year with her. She travels to New York to meet me and I come to New Delhi to be with her.
She knows she has a chemical connection with her daddy. She's the driving force in my life.
She even gives me advice. We play a lot and have fun together.
I make sure that I take a vacation with Safira. There are so many things I teach her and she learns from me.
" Lindsay and I are just friends "Lindsay Lohan and I spent some time together, and we got written about all over. She's a friend and I really don't want to talk about it.
" I'm wiser about living my dreams "I'm looking at life differently. I always wanted to do fun things with my hotels and films.
Now is the time. I've learnt my lessons, fallen and now I plan to make a big comeback.
I'm spiritually and emotionally wiser. I believe there is a higher power that protects us.
I want to pursue things that make me happy. I want to live in the moment.

(less)Deepika, Salman in Farah's next
The project, which was initially offered to Katrina Kaif, fell on Dippy's lap after the former refused due to date problems. And now, Deepika who has been quite vocal about her wish to work with Salman, will finally get her second wish fulfilled as well.
Thanks to Farah Khan and her next directorial venture. Deepika after being launched by Farah Khan in the 2007 hit Om Shanti Om, fell out with the filmmaker.
The actress had apparently developed an attitude and refused to acknowledge the filmmaker's contribution in her instant stardom. Determined to mend bridges, Dippy has been sending Farah's prawn curry to the filmmaker's home.
And the seafood seems to have worked. Farah seems to have forgiven the actress' earlier conduct.
In fact, Deepika will now be a part of Farah's next directorial venture opposite Salman Khan . The film will go on floors next year.
Farah denied having cast anyone at the moment, but admitted that she is almost done with the script. While sources from the industry confirmed Deepika's presence in the Farah Khan venture, the actress herself chose not to reply.
Deepika's business manager neither confirmed not denied the story. A source close to the actress, however said, "Deepika has it all - beauty grace talent.
All she needs is that little push which would propel her into the big league. She got overnight stardom with Om Shanti Om.
This she consolidated with another winning performance in Bachna Ae Haseenon. Thought outwardly she remained calm, inwardly the end of her relationship changed her attitude to love and fidelity.
Deepika lost a lot of professional ground because of the relationship. But she is now determined to get back where she belongs.

(less)Manoj Bajpayee: As you grow up, you learn to be a liar
Ramu too has announced his own version of The Ramayan. What's this latest fascination of Bollywood with the epic? It's mere coincidence because when this film was written, "Raavan" was not even in the picture.
The director and writer were so new that they didn't know how to get in touch with actors like me. Eventually, they did so but by the time they got in touch with me, "Raavan" had been made.
Ramu must be having his own take of how he wants to handle the mythological text. My "Lanka" is inspired by the relationship that Ravan and Vivishan shared.
"Lanka" explores the small town culture of western UP. You've played a character that would be synonymous to Ravan in mythology.
Is your role essentially evil? Not really. I play a powerful guy and he uses his power too when he falls for a girl, who doesn't reciprocate.
How would you define it in the context of the film industry? Power is the ability to give three hits in a year. Nothing else can give power.
Critics might praise my work but if my films keep failing at the BO, nobody will give me work. So, where you would find yourself on any powerlist? Oh! I would be very low in the pecking order.
That I am still managing to survive is only because of some directors, who have faith in me. Nothing goes against a person if he is part of a hit movie.
Whether he is talented or not is immaterial. Anurag Kashyap is one such director and you've done "Gangs of Wasseypur" with him recently.
How has been the experience been? Anurag uses me very well. He is too intelligent a director and considering that he tours the world over, he has a lot of new ideas.
After Shekhar Kapur and Mahesh Bhatt , he is Indian cinema's biggest actor's director. It's not easy to become a director who understands the emotional requirements of an actor.
Your "Chittagong" too will eventually be releasing. Are you aware of comparisons with "Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey"? Nobody is scared of comparisons but I must add that director Bedabrata Pain has a very different take on the subject.
A child in awe of Masterda is in the foreground, whereas I am the second or third lead in the movie. This movie has a new style of storytelling that I absolutely loved being a part of.
Having done movies like "Raajneeti" and "Aarakshan", are their any movies/roles of yours that you now can't sit and watch? I will never do a "Bewafaa" or a "Fareb" now. Today, I realize that I was not the right cast for these films and that I was not good in the roles either.
You admit that fatherhood has toned you down. What are the things you will never say or do now? Internally, there has been a shift in search towards spiritualism.
Of course, my daughter ( Ava Nayla ) has changed my life too. Even as I speak, she is sitting on my chest and looking at me with wide-eyed wonder.
Seeing her grow is a unique experience. I have calmed down a lot.
I am an actor and I have realized that even if I don't like a performance, I'll never say the truth on anyone's face. In this industry, people can't accept the truth.
As a child, you are told to be truthful. But as you grow up in the industry, you learn to be a liar.
That's a survival tactic. You might believe that you are saying the truth because you want to be honest.
But not only will you lose friends by doing so, you will also end up losing a few years in the industry by rubbing people the wrong way. So, what's the biggest lie in the industry? I'd like to mention two lies - talent survives and that a good film does well.
In reality, anybody can be a part of a hit film. He will survive and there will be hype surrounding him.
Truth is that a film that becomes a hit is not necessarily a good movie. Did you ever attract a Vivishan in your career? I am no Ravan in real life to have a Vivishan.
On a serious note, nobody is that close to me apart from my family. They are all very loyal to me both during my good and bad times.
There is no giant Lanka that I have built to be pulled down to ashes. What about your wife's film career? She is a mother now.
Currently, she is too involved with our daughter. She doesn't believe in keeping a domestic help and does everything by herself
(less)Kareena Kapoor tops sexiest Asian woman list
Kareena, who recently gave hits like Bodyguard and RA.One , won by one per cent of votes, the narrowest ever margin and beat off tough competition from some of the most stunning women from around the world.
Katrina, who had won the title for the last three years by a large margin, slipped into second place. Eastern Eye showbiz editor Asjad Nazir said, "This battle between the two beauties is a sign of things to come in Bollywood in the next few years.
Although the list contained pop stars, TV personalities, models and film stars from around the world, the voting quite comprehensively showed that Kareena and Katrina have put a distance between themselves and the rest of the contenders in terms of popularity." Hrithik Roshan's wife Sussanne received a massive number of votes and was one of the highest new entries at number 16.
Other notable stars in the list included Priyanka Chopra (3), and Bipasha Basu (4), who both slipped down one place each. Freida Pinto came 5th, followed by Deepika Padukone (7).
New entries included Jacqueline Fernandez (12), Nargis Fakhri (23) and Sonakshi Sinha (38). Aishwarya Rai Bachchan came 6th and Sonam Kapoor 9th.
Lara Dutta stood at number 15 and Malaika Arora Khan at 19. Tweet
Tweet
(less)Don Ke Baad Kaun taking advantage of Don 2 promotion?
A south Indian film dubbed in Hindi and titled Don Ke Baad Kaun will be releasing on the same day as Khan's big December release. The film released by a local distributor in Mumbai, has interestingly tried to share the spotlight with the multi-starrer.
What's more, the posters of the small budget film have been intelligently been pasted across the city alongside Don 2 adverts. Though it's evident which Don will eventually win at the box office, the smart, eye-catching publicity gimmick did not fail to catch our eye
(less)Shah Rukh Khan involved in fight with Shirish Kunder
One on Twitter. The Jaan-E-Mann director reportedly left the party with a swollen face.
The party also came to an end and Dutt and SRK left with the owner of the nightclub soon after. Shell shocked with the incidents of the night gone by, Kunder was expectedly jittery once slap-gate incident started picking up heat.
"Everyone knows what really happened at the party; it isn't a hidden fact at all. Of course it was ugly and I was quite shaken up with what happened.
When someone attacks you from behind and comes prepared with a set of bodyguards to protect his own self, you don't really have a choice, do you? "All I feel is that if at all there was so much pent up anger in him, he could have gone verbal. Getting physical hasn't reflected well on either of us," Kunder said tonight.
Shah Rukh Khan tweeted in the night but made only an indirect reference to the episode. "Another long nite.
Shooting for a public service msg film about education peace & harmony. Feels ironic when I read & see wot is being said," he said, without making any mention of the fracas.
Kunder, the Jaan-E-Mann director, had left the party with a swollen face. The party also came to an end and Dutt and SRK left with the owner of the nightclub soon after.
"Frankly, this is hardly the kind of attention that I want. In fact I am wary of any kind of attention, be it for something as wrong as this which was completely unprovoked or even something good for which I may have been responsible.
I like to keep a low profile and Sunday's late night party was one of those rare instances when I actually attended a gathering," Kunder said. Farah spoke about the incident in a statement but denied they were going to pursue the matter with police.
"Shahrukh has always told me that physical abuse is the worst way to sort out a problem, and that it means the person who's hitting has either a personal or professional crisis going on. So it saddens me to see him doing the same," Farah said in a statement.
Kunder had earlier taken to his Twitter account to say: "Thanks for all your concern & wishes. We are very grateful.
Contrary to rumours, we have no intention of filing a FIR or police complaint." Dutt, who was also present when the incident happened denied reports that he was also involved in the fight, saying he only tried to break up the fight.
"When a fight takes place so everybody who is around is blamed. Sanjay entered to stop the fight.
He had no fight or anything of that sort with Shirish," Dutt's spokesperson told PTI. Once very good friends, Farah choreographed SRK in several of his films and directed him in Main Hoon Naa and Om Shanti Om but their friendship soured after she cast Akshay Kumar in Tees Maar Khan in 2010.
Kunder is reported to have said, "Shah Rukh punched and jumped on me. And he had three bodyguards with him.
I don't know what got him. I was numb with shock so I couldn't react.
He kept screaming at me, 'What do you think of yourself? I'll see to it that you're out of this industry." Shah Rukh's enmity with Kunder apparently stems from the days when he refused to do Kunder's Joker .
Kunder, occasionally takes jibes at the actor on his Twitter page, recently calling his sci-fi Ra.One "a 150 cr firework fizzle".
The other celebrities present at the party, however, have come out in support of King Khan, saying Kunder had it coming. "Shah Rukh is supr rockin.
. Good he gave it 2 shirish.
people shud learn 2 b grateful to king khan, afterall he has been so supportive 2 farah. Glad@iamsrk told shirish off n put him in place.
SRK has done so much 4 farah. they shud b grateful n not abusing srk (sic)," Ameesha Patel tweeted.
"I was present at Sanj's party & Without Any Bias I Fully Support Shah Rukh (sic)," celebrity photographer Dabboo Ratnani tweeted. Dutt had hosted the bash at the popular Juhu nightspot to celebrate the successful opening of Agneepath .

(less)Twinkle's not interested in films anymore: Akshay Kumar
During a recent visit to the city, Akshay took some time off to chat with BT..
. You and John Abraham seem to be the latest Jai-Veeru in town.
..
Aaj ke Jai-Veeru..
. Wah Wah! We are also the latest Ram and Balram.
John and I are teaming up again after Garam Masala. He has come a long way since then and has grown as an actor.
I see a big difference in him. We have great chemistry in the film.
What was it like working with Deepika Padukone and Chitrangda Singh? Deepika is the epitome of beauty and it was great to team up with her again after Chandni Chowk to China and Housefull. As for Chitrangda - though she has just taken the plunge into commercial cinema, she is not a newcomer and has the ability to blow everyone away with her stunning looks and her acting prowess.
There is some confusion regarding the remake rights of the Tamil hit number Appadi Podu from the film Ghilli. Actor Sonu Sood claims he has bought the rights for his film Lucky Unlucky, but another report says you had already bought the rights of the song a few years ago.
..
I don't know which Sonu Sood you are talking about. My production company considered remaking the song a long time ago, but so many films come and go that you don't remember what is happening with every project.
My company has 4-5 films in the pipeline that don't have me in the lead. I have no idea who has got the rights for Appadi Podu.
And there's no fight here. I am sure the right person will get it in the end.
Will you ever take the plunge into south Indian films? I have already done a south Indian film, that too in Kannada. It's a film called Vishnu Vijaya, which had Ashwini Bhave and the late Vishnuvardhanji in the cast.
The film was made in Kannada and Hindi. The Hindi version was known as Ashaant.
I want to do a film in Tamil as I've already done a Kannada project. In fact, I am waiting for someone to approach me with a good offer.
What are your thoughts on Bangalore? It was in Bangalore that I shot the first scene of my career for my maiden venture, Saugandh. Hence, this city will always have a special place in my heart.
Any chances of you and Twinkle doing a film together? No! She is not interested in films anymore
(less)Bollywood mourns Raj Kanwar's dealth
The film industry was in a state of shock over the untimely demise of this prolific filmmaker. Incidentally Kanwar's elder brother K Pappu also died of the same ailment five years ago and at the age of 53.
Kanwar's body will be flown to India today. Kanwar is survived by his wife Anita and two sons Karan (20) and Abhay Kanwar (16).
The cremation will be held at Oshiwara on Sunday afternoon at 12. Raj Kanwar (earlier assistant to Rajkumar Santoshi) arrived in Bollywood with a big bang with his directorial debut Deewana which launched one of the country's biggest superstars in the form of Shah Rukh Khan .
The film went on to smash all box-office records and then Kanwar went on to create some of the biggest hits in the form of Laadla, Jeet, Daag-The Fire, Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega and Andaaz. He successfully launched the career of several Bollywood stars - Priyanka Chopra , Lara Dutta , Arya Babbar, Amrita Rao , apart from SRK.
Known for his shy nature and extremely low-profile life style, Kanwar was a man of few words whose only passion was cinema. In the last couple of years Kanwar launched Shatrughan Sinha's son Luv in Saadiyaan, which was a flop and was planning his next film.
Movies directed Sadiyaan (2010) | Humko Deewana Kar Gaye (2006) | Andaaz (2003) | Ab Ke Baras (2002) | Farz (2001) | Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke (2000) | Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega..

RIP Rajji..
U believed in me when even I didn't. Andaaz taught me everything I know Suneel Darshan Produced Andaaz, which Raj Kanwar directed I have very fine memories of Raj.
Our relationship spanned over 25 years. He worked with me as an assiatant director in the late 1980s.
He directed Andaaz for me in 2003. He was a very brilliant filmmaker but not very media savvy.
He had an illustrious career. His death is too shocking.
He was just in his 50s. He met me before he left for Singapore.
That was my last meeting with him. Amrita Rao Launched by Raj Kanwar in Ab Ke Baras How can I forget the first filmmaker who I debuted with? He was a tough taskmaster and a perfectionist.
He demanded high voltage performances from his actors and made sure that they delivered in their first take. Rumi Jaffery Wrote Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega for Kanwar I tried calling him a few days back to show him my film.
He used to ask me about it. I couldn't connect to him at the time.
I landed back from Dubai and received a message about his death. He was a very good friend.
Luv Sinha launched by Raj Kanwar in Saadiyaan He was a very lively person, always full of life even when he was unwell. It was entertaining to be around him.
As a director, he would try explaining things differently and it was a learning experience. I still can't get over the shock.
He was very quick in his work and he had a good music sense
(less)Shahid and Priyanka bond in Dubai
Not only did they exchange greetings and spend time, two of them also shared the same vanity van. A source who attended the show reveals, "Shahid was spotted coming out of Priyanka's vanity van where he spent a lot of time chatting and interacting with her.
There was no awkwardness between the two whatsoever. They were extremely pally and attended each others rehearsals to cheer and show support.
Despite the buzz that all is not well PC and Shahid were more than just cordial with each other. The fact they are doing Kunal Kohli's film also made matter easier for them.
They have managed to stay friends despite the break up." While Priyanka performed a medley of her hits from Anjaana-Anjaani, Dostana and a Arabic songs with kids, Shahid grooved to a series of songs from Mausam and Kaminey.
The source adds that after the show got over they exchanged notes over how much they enjoyed performing at the venue as well. Apart from Shahid and Priyanka, others who attended the event were Jacqueiline Fernandes, Malaika Arora Khan and Deepika Padukone
(less)Deepika, Priyadarshan bury the hatchet
Instead Deepika chose to make her debut with Farah Khan's Om Shanti Om . After that Priyadarshan stayed away from Deepika until 2008 when Shah Rukh Khan used his clout to persuade Deepika to perform an item song in Priyadarshan's Billu , which SRK's Red Chillies Entertainment had produced.
The thawing of the ice had begun. Now it's time for the director and actress to finally work together.
"We broke the ice during the song in Billu . Now I've a role just right for her," said Priyan.
Priyadarshan, who has directed about 83 films in his 30-year career, had no releases in 2011, but he's ready to make up for the lost year with as many as four films this year. Of these, the 'family comedy' (as he dubs it) which he will direct in July for Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Limited has him specially kicked.
Not only is he working with Abhishek Bachchan for the first time, he has also reached out to Deepika for the female lead opposite the actor. It's a double delight for Priyadarshan since he has never worked with both the actors.
"Abhishek and I have been planning projects together for the longest time. We were supposed to do a bio-pic on Chandrashekhar Azad.
But who watches historicals any more? I've finally zeroed in on the perfect project for Abhishek. We start shooting in July," said Priyadarshan.

(less)Deepika Padukone to race ahead in 2012?
On the eve of Deepika Padukone's birthday, let's see what the future holds for the sexy siren in 2012. Astro-numerologist Bhavikk Sangghvi analyzes, "Deepika was born on 5th January, 1986 which makes her a Number 5 (Mercury) person in numerology.
She is a Capricorn (ruler Saturn - Number 8) and her destiny number adds up to Number 3 ( Jupiter )". "Being ruled by Number 5 (Mercury), Deepika is upright frank , honest in her speeches, talkative, communicative and very adamant in her decisions.
With the influence of Saturn (Number 8), she has really worked hard to achieve what she has and she is proud of the fact that she has made it on her own terms at such a young age. Being also ruled by Number 3 (Jupiter) ensures that she is very practical as far as money is concerned and would work only on her terms.
No wonder she is paid much more than any other actress in her league - be it films, endorsements, fashion shows etc", explains Bhavikk further. "Deepika will now be entering the 27th year of her life and since she is primarily ruled by Number 5, she will have a decent 2012.
On the film front, her next film which is a Saif Ali Khan production (tentatively titled 'Cocktail') and Ayan Mukherji's next where she is starring opposite ex beau Ranbir Kapoor is most likely to do well. Even in 'Race 2', her role will be a meatier one amongst the ensemble cast.
But 'Rana', where she's paired opposite superstar Rajnikanth, will prove to be a damp squib at the box office", he adds further. "One more negative aspect in her life could be her break off with current boy friend Siddharth Mallya as they make a completely incompatible couple as there is simply no chemistry between Number 5 (Mercury) and Number 7 (Ketu - Sidhartha - 7th May 1987) and what you see now (they seem to be madly in love), all may just perish in to thin air".
"Wearing a Yellow Sapphire (above 4 carats) set in gold on her right hand index finger on a Thursday evening (one hour before sunset ) will help her deal with this much more strongly and make sure she remains clear and focused when it comes to such decisions of life", signs off Bhavikk on an advisory note
(less)Hrithik admitted to Breach Candy Hospital
He has been advised complete bed rest for about fifteen days, which in turn has put the project, Agneepath on hold. The shoot of the film directed by Karan Malhotra has been cancelled until Hrithik gets back on his feet.
Hrithik was spotted at Breach Candy Hospital undergoing MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging). A source informed, "The actor entered the hospital, visibly in a lot of pain.
The doctors attended to him almost immediately." However, senior radiologist Dr Anirudh Kohli from Breach Candy Hospital refused to divulge the details of the various tests conducted on Roshan Jr.
"I cannot share any information about my patients since there is a privacy issue," said Kohli. Another official from the hospital (name withheld on request) said, "We have been strictly told not to talk about Hrithik to anybody.
" While the hospital officials refused to part with information on the actor's health, a source revealed, "Hrithik was supposed to lift a burly fighter, who weighs nearly 110 kg during the Agneepath shoot. This is a very important scene in the film.
Perhaps he got a little carried away and decided to do it himself (without using a body double). Kar to diya lekin uske immediately baad uske back mein bahut dard hone laga.
" "He was in a lot of pain and needed medical help. Lifting 110 kilos of a man obviosuly put a lot of pressure on Hrithik's back," added the source.
When contacted, Hrithik's father, Rakesh Roshan, said, "Fighter ke scene ka koi problem nahin hua. Hrithik has been working almost continuously on his TV show Just Dance and Karan Johar's film Agneepath.
He is back home, he just needs a little rest since he is overworked." Hrithik Roshan remained unavailable for comment.
Karan Johar too did not reply to our text message. According to sources, a song and a few important scenes of Agneepath still remain to be shot.

(less)I am full on to wear a bikini: Shazahn Padamsee
"Maybe now that I have joined the team, it will change. I am full on to wear a bikini.
I am dieting, I am working out, I am fit..
. bikini dena hai toh de do," the spunky actress laughs uproariously.
She will be seen opposite Shreyas Talpade in the multi-starrer. Shazahn made her debut with Ranbir Kapoor in Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year in 2009 and then she was seen in Madhur Bhandarkar's Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji released early this year.
"I was lucky to work with Ranbir in my first film. Then I started getting lot of offers after Dil To Bachcha Hai Ji and now I am very happy to get to work in Housefull as it will help me expand my canvas.
At present, I would like to do just commercial, mainstream cinema," says Shazahn. On October 19 Shazahn celebrated her birthday by cutting a cake with the entire cast.
She says, "I was drawn to Hindi movies very early in life. I am very comfortable working with the Bollywood guys, I feel like one of them.
I don't want to sign random movies. I do consult my dad (ad guru Alyque Padamsee), but the final decision is mine," says Shazahn
(less)I highly recommend marriage to everyone: Avantika Malik
. Avantika Malik and Imran Khan completed one year of marriage last week.
But there were no surprises for her. She's known her beau-turned-husband for 10 years.
They even lived together for a year in Los Angeles when he was training to be an actor. Soon after the wedding the young couple moved out of their family home, which is currently being renovated, and are living in a teenie (well, by their standards) apartment like any other working couple next door.
They don't even have a live-in maid. In her first-ever interview, Avantika talks about the highs and lows, getting along with her hubby's co-stars, and getting back to work.
Are you Avantika Malik, Avantika Khan or Avantika Malik Khan? I am Avantika Malik. One thing you discovered about Imran after marriage? Nothing.
I've known him for too long, so the only surprise was how easy marriage is if you meet the right person. I feel very blessed and lucky.
And I highly recommend marriage to everyone. Is Imran a better husband or boyfriend? He's a better husband, there's no doubt about it.
He's fantastic. He's the best person to live with because he is able to be with you and be supportive, but also gives you tremendous space.
He really looks after me, I have to give him that. Especially when we were moving into our own space and I was really nervous.
I have lived in my mom's house all my life, except for the year-and-a-half in LA as a student, so there were no responsibilities. I was nervous about whether I would be able to run a house, but he was very supportive of me, and in everything that I have chosen to do or not do.
Most actors have an entourage around them. Imran doesn't.
Is that him or you? I think it's both of us. But it's him first.
He's so regular. Our intimate group of friends are people who have been with us since school and college.
We have made many friends in the industry, but our core group remains the same. And we both like it that way.
He doesn't like to surround himself by people who constantly tell him how great he is, because that can make you lose touch with reality. I am so grateful he's that way.
We are a normal young couple, as normal as you can be with him being a movie star. Is it difficult being married to a movie star? He could have been a banker or a lawyer, it's just his work.
I am an ordinary girl in love with a boy who happens to be a movie star. It's very consuming work and it does take away from his life in a way while he is making a film, as it should be.
I don't think there is any other way to do it. I just feel like I fell in love with this boy 10 years ago, he was a 19-20 then, and though he's grown tremendously in many ways, his core being is still the same.
I will give him a lot of credit too, as when Jaane Tu..
. Ya Jaane Na was releasing, we were thinking about when we should get married because we had been together for so long.
And I remember my mother-in-law telling me, 'Wait for two years. Right now he's just started, you have to see what happens with fame and success and how you both handle it as a couple.
' I give Imran a lot of credit because he hasn't changed in any way. Except that he's more confident as he knows what he's achieved.
Is there any part of his career that you don't like? Just that I feel a lot of time he's just gone! But right now since you have no kids, you can travel and be with him, no? True, but I have a routine here, things that I like doing and I have an entire world of my own that I enjoy. So I would feel very inadequate if I gave that up and just left.
How do you deal with the highs and lows he goes through as an actor? The kind of person he is, he handles it with aplomb. His career started off on a major high and he saw tremendous success with Jaane Tu.
..
but he handled it beautifully. At no point did he lose his grounding.
For me, his lows were heartbreaking. I am very protective about him.
I see all the things that are so great about him that when someone else can't see them it bothers me. When people would write things about him that are untrue, or give him bad reviews, I would get very worked up.
In fact his mom and I were discussing this, when he was having a hard time, he was taking care of me not the other way around..
So now the negative stories don't upset me the way they used to in the beginning. Now he's had a successful year and I hope that they continue in life so there's a balance.
How is he on a Friday before release? He's calm, cool, collected, sleeping, and eating normally. And me? Not sleeping, not eating, really nervous, running up and down.
He is Zen! He's like now I have done the work. I have done my bit in the film and promoting it, so now jo hota hai dekhenge.
..
Lot of star wives get involved their husbands work like designing their clothes, or managing their dates or producing films etc, have you considered that? As far as being involved in his career, the extent of it is we have a discussion if it's a big decision which will affect everyone. But ultimately he's a decision maker, whether he should do a film or not do a film.
And I like to keep my life separate from his as much as possible. What about producing films? I have always wanted to produce films and I will do that.
But it won't necessarily mean it will be because of Imran or because he's in my film. I want to produce films, I am very clear, as I believe I have a keen understanding of films; I have produced films in the past.
And I feel like there were a lot of things that were happening there, corporate set up and things had to be done in a certain way. There were a lot of things I was keen on that didn't happen, but I feel like I developed a sense and feel for films.
Now it comes instinctively to me. You can't be married to someone who is deeply entrenched in films and not love it yourself.
I think that would be difficult. I want to produce films I am just waiting for the house to get ready.
My mom-in-law is working, Imran is working, so I am the only one who is overseeing the work right now, so I don't want to lose track. But by the end of the year, I would like to get back to work.
You reaction to his kissing and intimate scenes in films is..
..
(laughs) I can't remember the first time he had a kissing scene. In Jaane Tu.
..
there was one peck with Manjiri, and I was so worked up because then it was all too new for me and I was like how will things go, this that, but now I am fine. It's his work and I know him so well.
..
He told me it's not the most comfortable thing in the world, it's quite uncomfortable, there are 100 of people, retakes, so no matter what you might imagine, that it's exciting, it's very uncomfortable and it's part of his job. Which of his co-stars are you friends with? You won't believe this but I like all of them.
If you ask me who I am very friendly with then, it has to be Deepika and Sonam. Because we are almost the same age, and we were all a gang during I Hate Luv storys and Break Ke Baad, and we had a blast making those two films.
But I cannot tell you how wonderful all of them have been to me and am being very honest. Genelia, Deepika, Sonam, Katrina and Kareena they have all been really wonderful.
And everyone asks me, 'You don't feel insecure, upset that he's working with these gorgeous women because they are all so stunning.' And I give him credit, as I know how he's so faithful but also these girls have been really lovely to me and we should give them some credit some times.
Is Imran the perfectionist like his uncle Aamir? No. actually he's quite easy going.
Hes particular about his work and certain things. I know he's made jokes about these things, but how his things are lined up in the bathroom.
And he's very particular about these things. He's a very good boy.
But the human being that he is, they don't make men like him anymore, they just don't. And I keep telling him that for me the most important thing I love about him is that he's a good person.
I have seen him grow as an actor and I know he puts his everything into it and if you are honest to your work eventually you will achieve whatever you want. What do you guys fight about most? We don't really fight that much.
Considering I am a feisty person, I think he just knows how to handle me. (laughs) We fight about silly things like how much time he spends on the ipad or things like that.
But no major conflict. His most annoying habit? Ipad! Phone! Computer! I think he's addicted to the internet and he is Mr.
Know it all. Like if you ask him Imran how do you fix this? He will be like give me a second! And start typing.
He will Google everything, we should make him the brand ambassador of Google. Which film of Imran's is your favourite? It would be hard to pick between Jaane Tu and Delhi Belly because Jaane Tu he had this incredible boyish charm and looked so good.
In DB he was scruffy and with stubble..
I am caught between whether I like him more as the cute chocolate boy or huis grungy look. I love them both.
That's the best part of being married to an actor is that I come out of a theatre and have a crush on him all over again. It's an incredible feeling, after 10 years of togetherness to watch a film of his and find him so good looking and charming and sexy, and it's like falling in love all over again.
It has happened to me with most of his films. Can't conclude without asking any plans to start a family? Not for a while! When it happens organically, it will.
Is there any part of his career that you don't like? Just that I feel a lot of time he's just gone! Like if he is shooting for six months in Agra or Delhi, he's not here. For Mere Brother Ki Dulhan he was gone for three months straight.
I have a routine, my own life and I cannot possibly just leave to be with him for months wherever he goes..
. and that distance is something I don't like.
Now again he has to go for Vishal's (Bhardwaj) film..
But right now since you have no kids, you can travel and be with him, no? True, but I have a routine here, things that I like doing and I have an entire world of my own that I enjoy. So I would feel very inadequate if I gave that up and just left.

(less)Akshay Kumar fittest man in industry: John Abraham
"Akshay has always been a guiding force from 'Garam Masala' itself. I was very raw then.
I have learnt a lot from him," said John. John, who built a muscular body for his last release "Force", even feels Akshay is fit as a fiddle at 44.
"Even during 'Force' I was always asked who is the fittest man in the industry and I have always said it is Akshay Kumar and I stand by it. He is a true inspiration in a lot more ways than one.
To look so fit and handsome all the time is really difficult and he does it all the time," added John. "Desi Boyz" marks the directorial debut of Rohit Dhawan, son of filmmaker David Dhawan .
Also starring Deepika Padukone , Chitrangada Singh and Omi Vaidya, the film will release Nov 25
(less)Where are the youth leaders, asks Samrat Mukerji
He tells us, "From the airport, I made my way straight to Connaught Place for the protests, even though I didn't know where I would stay or what I'd eat. I know the movement requires people.
And look at how big it has become. I came here four days ago and have got to know so many people while protesting at the grounds.
We all come from protected families and don't know what fasting means, but once you reach the ground and see Anna Hazare, the spirit of the movement doesn't let you feel hungry. The rain, the mucky ground, the heat, humidity - nothing matters.
" Even though Samrat hasn't spoken personally to Anna, he says it doesn't make a difference to him, or to anyone else. He explains, "He just waves his hands at us, and we are happy.
Here is someone because of whom the country is standing united against corruption. He's a simple man.
In contrast, people like Kapil Sibal, who know games like law and politics don't catch our fancy anymore. The villager doesn't understand law and sections.
He understands corruption and the language of Anna Hazare. This is not an organized rally, but see the number of people here.
That's how the country reacts." Questioning the absence of India's youth leaders from the developments, he says, "I'm the youth of the country, and a recognizable face, yet I have come here to protest.
We want to be here for the revolution. Sadly, the youth ministers are all absent from the negotiations.
Instead, the ruling party chooses to send old ministers to talk about plausible solutions. Do they know what the youth wants?"
(less)Akshay Kumar: Twinkle's not interested in films anymore
(less)I don't consider myself a good actor: Hrithik Roshan
He impressed the crowd as he danced a few steps of garba and then did a couple danced with an Amdavadi girl. ""I have been to Ahmedabad several times.
It's always good to be here. Last time when I was here, people made me danced a lot.
I hope to get the same kind of love all the time I come here,"" says the hunk. Hrithik was in Ahmedabad to promote Karan Johar's Agneepath .
The actor was missing in action since sometime due to his slip disk issue. ""I was on bed for a month due to my injury.
I got loads of cup cakes, chocolates and brownies as wishes and I enjoyed eating them to the core,"" he smiles. For someone who follows discipline thoroughly it wasn't easy for him to shoot with his injury.
But Hrithik didn't stop. ""I did action scenes for five days and dance sequences for two days.
But I wouldn't set this as an example for the rest, as I believe health comes first than anything else,"" he says. Talking about his character in the film, Hrithik says, ""Whatever character I have done so far, I had to live it in my life in some way or the other.
I don't consider myself a good actor. I can't act and so I have to live that particular character in my real life and then exhibit it on screen.
My character Vijay has struggled a lot and he fights for all the impossible in life - I can relate to Vijay to my younger days. During those days life looked impossible to me as my body tools were broken and I didn't know what best I could do with my life.
"" It is said that his character is similar to Vijay Deenanth Chauhan that was earlier played by Amitabh Bachchan . So did he take any tips from Big B? ""I haven't taken any tips from him.
I am not Vijay Deenanth Chauhan in the film. I am only Vijay,"" he clarifies.
Today remaking a film is in vogue. But most of them haven't worked.
""It can't be said that remakes have flopped. Earlier people said that superhero films don't work in India but my film Krrish did work.
So I don't think we should generalize films. If a film is good, it will work, no matter what,"" he avers.
The tall and handsome actor is again sharing screen with the sizzling hot Priyanka Chopra . "It is always fabulous working with Priyanka.
She is a complete live wire and positive person. We have worked several times in the past and she has changed a lot over the years.
She has now become a spontaneous actor," he says. The 'Greek God' recently won the tag of the Sexiest Asian Man in the World for 2011.
"Nobody is born sexy. We all are the same.
What looks sexy for others is just like a reflection of immense potential. We all can achieve our goals and look sexy if we put in our best efforts," says the humble actor.
Recently, Hrithik quit smoking and he wants to advice the entire world to quit it. " It's not difficult to quit smoking.
If you want to do it and don't know how to do it, get help from someone. In my case, a book helped me - Easy Ways to Stop Smoking," shares Hrithik.
Ask him if he learns new things everyday, Hrithik says, ""The world helps you to keep evolving and hope it's for better. You have to rise above all the tragedies in life.
You have to grow and if you stop growing, you are old." We all agree to that, Hrithik!
(less)Saif, Kareena: No-kissing policy
Says Bebo and he have decided against puckering up with co-stars Saif Ali Khan is unhappy with reports claiming he has smooched co-star Deepika Padukone in Race 2. Apparently, there are no kissing scenes in the film and Saif is wondering where these stories have originated from.
Says a source close to the actor, "During the release of their last film Aarakshan, there was buzz that Saif and Deepika had become very fond of each other. Now with Race 2 around the corner, everyone's talking about the kissing scene.
Saif wants to nip these rumours in the bud. He even plans to talk to Deepika about it.
" Interestingly, we hear that about a year ago Saif and Kareena Kapoor had decided they wouldn't do kissing scenes in their films and even made their decision clear to filmmakers. Adds the source, "With marriage imminent early next year, they don't want any controversies.
Even in the case of Madhur Bhandarkar's Heroine , Kareena has made it clear that she won't do kissing scenes. For Race 2, Saif had communicated the same to directors Abbas-Mustaan.
" Khan confirms to BT, "There are no kissing scenes in Race 2." His spokesperson adds, "Kareena and Saif had decided on a no-kissing policy sometime ago.
" Strangely though, all parties associated with the film confirm that there are indeed intimate scenes between Saif and Deepika. Which is confounding because aren't intimate scenes a step ahead of kissing scenes? So then, does the pact between the Nawab and his to-be-Begum make sense? Perhaps Himesh Reshammiya will see the irony in this situation because the lines from his song Umrao Jaan, which go something like, "No kissing, no kissing.
..
only seeing, only seeing!' completely defines the above situation!
(less)Nargis, Deepika share a voice
While Deepika's finest performance ( Love Aaj Kal ) was in an Imtiaz Ali film, the same man's responsible for giving Nargis her dream launch. And then of course there's Ranbir - the biggest 'link', literally.
But zoOm recently found out another surprising fact that brings the gals closer. Apparently, the dubbing artist that lent her voice to Deepika's character in Om Shaanti Om has also dubbed for Nargis in Rockstar.
Wow, now that's some co-incidence! We hope some of Ms. Dee's luck brushes off on Nargis, too! For more Bollywood news & gossip, keep watching 'Planet Bollywood News' every night at 7, only on zoOm - India's No.

(less)Hrithik hospitalised in Breach Candy with bad back | Bollywood News and Gossip
The shoot of the film directed by Karan Malhotra has been cancelled until Hrithik gets back on his feet. Hrithik was spotted at Breach Candy Hospital undergoing MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging).
A source informed, “The actor entered the hospital, visibly in a lot of pain. The doctors attended to him almost immediately.
” However, senior radiologist Dr Anirudh Kohli from Breach Candy Hospital refused to divulge the details of the various tests conducted on Roshan Jr. “I cannot share any information about my patients since there is a privacy issue,” said Kohli.
Another official from the hospital (name withheld on request) said, “We have been strictly told not to talk about Hrithik to anybody.” While the hospital officials refused to part with information on the actor’s health, a source revealed, “Hrithik was supposed to lift a burly fighter, who weighs nearly 110 kg during the Agneepath shoot.
This is a very important scene in the film. Perhaps he got a little carried away and decided to do it himself (without using a body double).
Kar to diya lekin uske immediately baad uske back mein bahut dard hone laga.” “He was in a lot of pain and needed medical help.
Lifting 110 kilos of a man obviosuly put a lot of pressure on Hrithik’s back,” added the source. When contacted, Hrithik’s father, Rakesh Roshan, said, “Fighter ke scene ka koi problem nahin hua.
Hrithik has been working almost continuously on his TV show Just Dance and Karan Johar’s film Agneepath. He is back home, he just needs a little rest since he is overworked.
” Hrithik Roshan remained unavailable for comment. Karan Johar too did not reply to our text message.
According to sources, a song and a few important scenes of Agneepath still remain to be shot. Sphere: Related Content Posted in
(less)I enjoyed doing stunts in 'Players': Neil
..
I had fractures at least four times during the making of the film. But all is fine now.

(less)I know what happens when there?s infidelity
But it’s too early to talk much about it.I’m glad we finally met midway (in terms of money) and now taking things forward.
Madhur is a bold and explicit director. The film will have a lot of glamour, grit and sensationalism for sure.
► In Heroine, you’ll be doing an author-backed role after a long time. Nervous? Not at all.
I am an actress and I love doing different, challenging roles. If you agree, I have always experimented with my looks and characters.
► You’ve been doing films with big heroes like in Bodyguard. Is it because of the money? Or is it because working with the big boys catapult you into the bigger league? Bodyguard is a film with a soul.
It’s a love story with lots of emotions and drama. If you take the girl out of it, there is no film.
I won’t do a film where I might get lost. I am not gung-ho about song and dance.
When Salman saw the South version of Bodyguard, he told the producer (Agnihotri) that only Kareena could fit the heroine’s role. After the success of Dabangg and Ready, Salman is poised for a hat trick.
I think I have answered your question (smiles). ► Rumour had it that you have split with Saif? Rubbish.
We are together. ► Do you want to marry him? Of course, I do.
Doesn’t every woman want to take her relationship to the next level? Saif and I are definitely going to marry. We just don’t want to talk about it right now.
It’ll take away the focus from the good work we are doing currently. ► Buzz is that the wedding will happen right after Agent Vinod releases.
..
(Smiles) Speculations galore. The menu, venue… woh sab hum batayenge na.
Aisi bhi kya jaldi hai? ► Have you had your share of ups and downs in your relationship with Saif? (Shrugs) Ups and downs are a normal thing in every relationship. ► God forbid.
..
but what if you catch Saif cheating on you tomorrow? That tomorrow will never come. I am a lucky girl.
There is love, so there can never be any infidelity. I am not being cynical about this because I know it happens.
I have experienced it and I know what it can do. ► So, how do you guys stay away from temptation… thrown into outdoor locations for long periods with good-looking people around you? Because we have a mental connect, which we both wanted in our lives from before we met each other.
Our love is beyond just physicality. We give the much-required space to each other.
Saif doesn’t stop me from doing anything - be it doing an intimate scene or getting into an ultra-glam outfit. And it’s the same with me.
He is a man who does his job, comes home and I give him a happy world. ► Are your parents keen on you formalising the relationship with Saif? Of course.
Especially my mother (Babita). My dad (Randhir) never asks me anything.
He just wants me to be happy and safe. ► You want to have kids (of course we meant with Saif)? Yes.
Like every woman, I too want kids. But there is a lot of childishness in me still.
Saif treats me like a child. I still have to get into that phase where I want to be a mother.
► If you get married soon, will the kids have to wait? Yeah (smiles). Children should be by choice, not by chance.
► Madame Tussauds? It’s an absolute honour. The unveiling shall happen in October.
My statue is going to travel for an exhibition to six different cities. I wish my sister Karisma is there with me.
She has always stood by me. ► Getting over the rough patch with her husband Sanjay Kapur must’ve been tough for Karisma.
..
Karisma has been a fighter. She is a very strong girl.
All that matters now is that she has emerged a winner. And isn’t she looking her best? She is looking so radiant.
She is simply glowing. I am very excited that she is making a comeback to the silver screen.
I should be taking her kids on the sets. ► You have been a pillar of strength to her during the dark phase.
..
Yes. We both have always been there for each other.
She is my best friend. We share unconditional love.
Like every woman, I too want kids. But there is a lot of childishness in me

(less)Successful films on Deepika's birthday wishlist
This year will see her working on Cocktail with Saif Ali Khan, Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani with ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor and Race 2 . "Success is completely related to the box office.
So yes, I want to be a part of successful films. By success I mean those movies which are commercially viable and also enjoyable.
There is no fun to be a part of those films which are not liked by the audience. I want to strike a balance as was the case in films like Om Shanti Om or Love Aaj Kal which were good movies that also did really well with the audience," Deepika told PTI.
The year gone by was just about okay for Deepika. While Desi Boyz did an average business at the box office, Aarakshan couldn't sustain beyond a good start.
What really got her into limelight was her item number in Dum Maaro Dum . "It is great to be paired with Saif again after Love Aaj Kal and Aarakshan .
Also, I love the way director Homi Adajania (of Being Cyrus fame) explains the scenes and then cans the shots. He is really innovative and Cocktail - though it is not really the final title - is an altogether different experience that would surprise the audience.
As for Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani , I am just waiting to begin the shoot with Ranbir (Kapoor) and Ayan (Mukherjee). We begin shooting on March 1 and the film should hopefully release by end of year.
Around the same time Race 2 should also release," Deepika said. Race 2 would mark Deepika's entry into the glamorous world of action-thriller created by Abbas-Mustan.
Initially, there was speculation about whether Deepika was a part of the films at all. "I was always a part of Race 2 .
It does happen that when there are so many actors involved, dates of one of them get pushed. Same was the case with my dates for Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani .
Once Karan (Johar) and (Ramesh) Tauraniji sorted it out, it was all cool." While she is busy with these three films, status of another much-hyped film of her continues to be in limbo.
Even though she has already shot for a song in Rajnikanth's Rana , there is no news about the film's further progress. "I really don't have any clue around what's the current status on it.
I am also waiting for the producers to revert and block my dates," Deepika said. Tweet
Tweet

(less)Imran Khan not in favour of remakes
If I feel that I loved a particular movie, then I would like to see the hero of that film only doing that role. I watch 'Sholay' for Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra.
I wouldn't like anyone else doing that," the 28-year-old told IANS. He has similar thoughts about sequels.
"Sometimes people make sequels unnecessarily..
.just because the film has worked.
If it has a scope, like if it's an action film or a superhero film, then I can understand. But it should not be made without a reason," he said the actor who has done films like "Jaane Tu.
..
Yaa Jaane Na", "I Hate Luv Storys", "Break Ke Baad" and "Delhi Belly". On his professional front, Imran is looking forward to the release of "Mere Brother Ki Dulhan"

(less)Sam Worthington to take a break from acting
"I haven't taken a break in four years. It's been a nomadic existence.
Now it's time to enjoy the fruits of my labour for a little bit - but I don't think I'll be gone for long," said Worthington. Currently promoting his upcoming thriller The Debt , Worthington said, "It took loads of hard work to reach this point in my career.
It wasn't as if I woke up one day and was doing movies." Worthington insisted that his career goals became clear after Cameron hired him for the 2009 sci-fi film.
"It didn't matter if I'd been drinking all night; I'd still be there at 6 am. But that doesn't work now, and it certainly didn't work on Avatar ," he said.

(less)Bollywood mourns Raj Kanwar's death

Our relationship spanned over 25 years. He worked with me as an assiatant director in the late 1980s.

That was my last meeting with him. Amrita Rao Launched by Raj Kanwar in Ab Ke Baras How can I forget the first filmmaker who I debuted with? He was a tough taskmaster and a perfectionist.

(less)Chittagong to finally release in 2012
Initially, there were reports that it was filmmaker Ashutosh Gowarikar's film 'Khelen Hum Jee Jaan Se' starring Abhishek Bachchan that was causing a hurdle in the release of 'Chittagong' since the two films are based on same subject. "Anurag is a good friend.
He liked the film a lot and told me about it. We are jointly presenting the film and we will try and ensure that the film has a wide release like any other commercial film," Bohra said in a statement.
'Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey', a period film directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, starring Abhishek and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles, was based on the Chittagong Uprising of 1930. The film which was released last December, was a box office failure.
Directed by Bedabrata Pain, Chittagong starring Manoj Bajpai in the lead, is scheduled to release early next year. The film is set against the backdrop of a little known saga in 1930s British-occupied India - where a group of schoolboys and young women, led by a teacher, Masterda Surya Sen, played by Bajpai dared to take on the British Empire.
"The delay was a blessing in disguise as it gave us some more time to do the patch work better. I am honoured that filmmakers such as Anurag Kashyap, Vishal Bharadwaj, Rakeysh Mehra, Ketan Mehta and others have loved the film.
I am thrilled that the film is getting released now," Pain said. Tweet
