Karan Johar wanted me to look sexy: Imran Khan
"Karan is very particular about the look. The character I play is a kind of womaniser so he wanted to have that sexy edge.
He said at any point the clothes should fit me in a certain way and I should have the look of a guy who is effortlessly sexy, " Imran told in a telephonic interview from Mauritius, where he is shooting for "Break Ke Baad". "He told me that I'll really have to work on my body to get that desired look.
So, long before I started the film, I started training for that. I changed my diet, my workout pattern, everything.
" Releasing July 2, "I Hate Luv Storys" is Punit Malhotra's directorial debut that will see Imran romancing Sonam Kapoor on screen. Unlike his colleagues, the 27-year-old is not so keen on going to the gym.
"I hate the gym. I find the gym damn boring so I opted for functional training.
When I was half-way into the film, I did intensive workouts. I was working out twice a day.
..
I was doing pilates (high end yoga) in the morning and functional training in the evening

Azim looks up to Salman, SRK and Aamir Khan
To make his character in "Qasam Se Qasam Se" appear realistic, Azim frequented call centre offices to absorb the finer nuances of the people working there. "It was quite a relevation for me as an actor.
I witnessed not only people's mannerisms but also the activities they indulge in during the break hour. Looking into the mirror, some guys would be busy ruffling their hair and taking care of their looks, while some would busy binging.
And there would others catching up with family and friends over their cell phones. This has helped shaped my character in the film.
" Azim feels that all our veteran actors were keen observers and would translate that on screen. "Whether it were the legendary actors like Dilip Kumar or the late Raj Kapoor or Dev Anand , they were schools in themselves.
I am a great fan of Salman Khan , Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan and look at them as a student who looks upon his guru. I am mastering the art of acting watching their films," he smiles

(less)I never thought I'd be a desirable woman: Sameera Reddy
"My name in the list means a lot to me. As as a young girl, I never thought even in my wildest dreams that I would become a desirable woman.
I yearned for a perfect body as I was ugly duckling in school. But now that I have entered films, I believe that beauty is hidden in the imperfections of people and it all depends on how you use them.
That's my definition of desirable and I am glad to have made it to the list," says Sameera. The actor is basking in the success of her last Tamil release opposite Madhavan and has Padma Shri Priyadarshan's Tezz to look forward to.
Sameera has now decided that she will do a mix of performance-oriented and glamorous characters on screen, something that Simran and Jyothika did in Kollywood. So is the report true that Sameera wants to become the next Simran and Jyothika? "You cannot become another person.
I had said that I look up to both Simran and Jyothika, who had a mixed bag of roles- performance-oriented and cute characters. Both had their own fan following .
They are my role models and I want to have a beautiful lineup of characters like them," says the actor
(less)Sherlyn Chopra likes being unconventional
Be it politics, cinema, sports, business or any other arena, women across the globe including India are in great form mentally, physically and consciously to undertake greater responsibilities and tougher challenges that are often encountered on paths less travelled." Sherlyn is also happy that she has gone from being just a pin-up girl to an entrepreneur.
Says she, "The rapid metamorphosis in my case would not have been possible had the mindsets of the majority of the people in the Hindi film industry continued to be goverened by prejudices. I look upto entrepreneurs who command respect and attention for daring to think out of the box and act accordingly.
They do not have a herd mentality. What they have is unadulterated creativity which is set on fire by courage.
" Naming films like " The Dirty Picture ", " Erin Brokovich ", " No One Killed Jessica "," The Black Swan " as cinema that has changed the way we think, Sherlyn says, "Unconventionality is no longer a taboo. It is being applauded and celebrated by both the classes and the masses.
The pulse of the youth is racing towards liberalisation. And I'm truly loving it.
" Asked why she decided to give us photographs that resembled those of the " Jism 2 " campaign, the actor quips, "I have pushed the envelope by choosing to cover my nakedness with nothing but pure consciousness."

(less)Flash mob greets Imran at New York University
"I had a blast at NYU. Everyone was so enthusiastic, they put on a very polished, confident show, and the surprise flash mob at the end was perfectly executed.
My best wishes to all the students involved," Imran said in a statement. The students had been practising for the performance for over two weeks, ahead of Imran's visit to New York as part of the promotional tour.
"As the president of NYU Dillagi, a Bollywood dance team, I knew we had to have simpler steps that the general public would be able to do and we sent videos out to the public. I thought that the flash mob came out even better than expected since people kept joining the mob throughout the sequence and it definitely surprised those that did not know of it ahead of time," Mohit Chhatpar, coordinator of the flash mob, said.
"It was really fun to be doing a flash mob and having Imran among us was all the more fun. He was very sporting and interacted with the students.
We are excited about this movie as well and are glad he could come and be among us to talk about his movie," he added. The Dharma Productions' film, also starring Kareena Kapoor, is set to hit theatres Feb 10.

"It's been 20 years for that film. So, obviously now I will have to upgrade this story.
It will be the same realistic love story but with a modern theme," Suri told IANS. Aashiqui won critical accolades after its release at the time.
It also catapulted the careers of lead actors Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal, who forayed into Bollywood with this film. Suri is also set to hunt for new faces for the sequel.
"I will cast fresh faces with a new boy and a new girl," said Mohit. While some are referring to Aashiqui 2 as a sequel, others are calling it a remake.
However, producer Mukesh Bhatt of Vishesh Films sets the record straight. "It is neither a sequel nor a remake.
It can be said as the musical series of Aashiqui ..
.a new generation is making this film," he said.

Salman Khan disapproves Don 2 trailer in Bodyguard
The dabangg Khan refused to share screen space with his archrival Shah Rukh Khan in any way. However, when it came to sharing the spotlight with Hrithik Roshan and Sanjay Dutt, Salman did not seem to have a problem.
In fact, Sallu insisted on having Karan Johar's Agneepath trailer as a part of his forthcoming Eid release. Salman had asked Reliance not to include the Don 2 trailer in Bodyguard.
In fact, when the producers tried to reason things out with the actor, telling him that both films (Bodyguard and Don 2) belonged to Reliance, he retorted, "Bodyguard is my film as well." "Salman and SRK are not friends.
It was obvious that Salman will not want the trailer of Shah Rukh Khan's film attached to Bodyguard. Salman would have said 'No' even if he had a guest appearance in the film.
His war with SRK is far from over," said a source close to the Sallu starrer. The SRK-Salman war started on July 16, 2008 at Katrina Kaif's 24th birthday bash in a suburban nightspot.
A small argument turned ugly when SRK allegedly commented on Salman's ex-girlfriend Aishwarya Rai. While SRK's Don 2 trailer has been left out from Bodyguard, his good friend Karan Johar's Agneepath promo has been included.
And again, it was Salman who took the call. "It would have made more sense for Reliance to include the promo of Don 2, since it releases this December as opposed to Agneepath that releases in 2012.
but since Salman wanted it, the producers couldn't refuse," revealed a source. Explaining why Salman chose Agneepath over Don 2, a source said, "Salman has been bonding with Karan Johar of late.
According to industry insiders, the actor will work in the Dharma Productions venture to be directed by Rensil D'Silva. Also, Agneepath stars Hrithik Roshan and Sanjay Dutt, two actors who had once had a spat with Salman but are now close to him.
" The final print of Bodyguard that releases this Eid will now have trailers of Agneepath, Luv U Soniyo and Hollywood film Real Steel. "There is neither a trailer or a promo of Don 2 in Bodyguard.
Salman did not want any mention of the SRK starrer in his film," confirmed a source close to Sallu's film
(less)Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor’s love story
Read on to find out more..
..
Karan Johar: "Ekta and I are really close - even our families are very close so there was always talk of doing a film together. But we wanted to be sure it was the right one.
Ekta came to me with the script. It was so entertaining that I just had to be part of it! I was very happy with the director - Akshay Roy, who is a very bright young boy.
At Dharma , we believe in launching young talent. What excited me about the script is that it is a love story where the man and woman are taking each other on - in a powerful and sexy manner.
There is a very strong man-woman chemistry based on a combination of sexual, social and political dynamics. Casting hasn't been finalised as yet.
We want big stars to play the leads. I'm very proud of the way Ekta has structured her company.
The projects she has been putting up are fantastic. I am very excited as I believe this to be a professional and emotional marriage and what has good energy will always show on screen.
" Ekta Kapoor: "Karan and I had always thought of producing a film together but the credit of finally bringing us together goes to the President of Balaji Films , Swati Shetty. The film needed chutzpah and someone who could turn it into something bigger than it was.
Karan heard just one line in the script and said he was on. It is a dream come true to work with one of the most prolific filmmakers of today.
When I was just starting off in films, he was already a success but he hasn't changed at all. We have signed Akshay Roy to direct as he has a different sensibility.
The film is an urban take on love - it is quirky, edgy, dramatic and intense! The lead actor is probably the edgiest male character from all the films I have made till now. Karan and I both loved the take on love as that emotion is something we know better than anyone else (laughs).
We will start casting in a week."

(less)I am open to all kinds of roles: Neha Hinge
We take a quick sneak peek into Neha's Bollywood diary and ask her about her journey so far in the industry. Tell us a bit about your character in the movie ' Luv U Soniyo' My character in the film is that of a Punjabi girl who is upbeat and lively.
She is someone who carries positive energy with her wherever she goes. She loves to aspire big and is her family's favourite child.
I did not have to struggle or put in much effort to bring out the real character because 'Soniyo' is very much like me in real life. The fact that I could relate to the character made me believe that I can portray it with correct passion and genuity.
Does acting come naturally to you or have you undergone a professional training for the film? I am a software engineer by profession and Bollywood has never been a conscious decision for me. It happened by chance and now that I am into it, I am ready to explore its depths.
Yes, I would definitely like to polish my acting skills so that I find myself at ease with other film projects sure to come my way in the near future. As far as Luv U Soniyo is concerned, I just let myself loose and that I guess worked! Your experience shooting for Luv U Soniyo It has been a fun ride.
I remember my first shot was in Goa and that was like living a dream. My co-star Tanuj Virwani (son of yesteryear actress Rati Agnihotri) and I shared a rocking equation on the sets.
My director Joe Rajan helped both of us bring out our true potential in the film. Our chemistry in the film is one of the highpoints to watch out for.
I had never met Tanuj before but we clicked instantly at the shoot and I think this will reflect onscreen too. How far has Miss India helped you carve a niche in Bollywood? Did it come easy? Most definitely! Miss India has played the role of a catalyst in giving me a quick entry into Bollywood.
I was adjudged the Bollywood Diva during the pageant and I can proudly say that I was the only contestant (who did not win the International crown) to have been selected by veteran director Madhur Bhandarkar for his film. However, prior commitments, preparation for Miss International pageant and a host of other reasons did not allow me to be a part of the film.
In fact it was Madhur Bhandarkar who recommended me to Joe Rajan for Luv U Soniyo and I am grateful to him for that. Dream directors you would like to work with.
..
Oh! The list is endless. Some of the names that come to my mind are Imtiaz Ali, Karan Johar, Anurag Kashyap, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and of course the Yash Raj banner.
The kind of roles you'd want to do..
. I am open to all kinds of roles for I believe it is important to be versatile and experimental to be recognised in Bollywood as an actor.
Current projects/ endorsements you are associated with..
. No, there are no projects in the pipeline as of now.
For the time being my focus is only on 'Luv U Soniyo', the shooting of which got completed earlier this month. Dubbing and other technical details are still at finishing stage.
After that I will be off on a vacation to Pune and spend quality time with family and friends. We wish Neha the best for all her future endeavours

(less)I'm getting more time to promote Mausam: Sonam
It's absolutely fine if the release date got pushed by a week. We have worked very hard and we are waiting for the film to release for a long time.
Another seven days don't matter," Sonam told IANS. The directorial debut of eminent actor Pankaj Kapoor, Mausam features Sonam as a Kashmiri girl who falls in love with a Punjabi boy, Shahid Kapoor.
The Indian Air Force (IAF) had raised an objection to a 30-second scene in the film. Though the censor board had given a U-certificate to the film, IAF had given a conditional No Objection Certificate (NOC) as they wanted that 30-second sequence to be corrected.
Getting the NOC from IAF after correction was too late to send prints overseas, which compelled the makers to postpone release from Sep 16 to Sep 23. The actress, who made her debut in acting with filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariya opposite Ranbir Kapoor, describes Mausam as her first true love story.

(less)I’ve always had a crush on Bebo: Imran Khan
This young actor, who has been very successful in the rom-com space with I Hate Luv Storys (2010) and Mere Brother ki Dulhan (2011) hitting the bulls eye at the box office, is getting ready for yet another rom-com co-produced by Dharma Production and UTV Motion Pictures. Ek Main aur Ekk Tu, which is prescribed as the perfect date film, has Imran romancing Kareena Kapoor for the first time.
It has been directed by debutant Shakun Batra, who is very close to Imran and who actually indulged him by casting him opposite the girl of his dreams. Imran, who turns a shade of red even when you mention Kareena casually, says, "Kareena is perhaps the most beautiful actress that I have worked with.
And I've worked with some real beauties.'' Long before he even dreamt of being an actor, Imran had a huge crush on Bebo.
Says he, "I found her beautiful right from her first film Refugee. I couldn't articulate my feelings then, but perhaps I nursed a silent crush.
When we started working together, we got along really well. We had a rollicking time shooting for EMAET.
I observed her closely while we were working and even took her pictures without her knowledge. She sometimes looked so beautiful and ethereal that clicking her was a natural response.
" The EMAET promos have created a buzz amongst youngsters and the trade. Two of the songs - the title track and Aunty ji are also potential chart busters.
As Imran says, "With Bebo by my side, everything is working out just fine.'' Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu releases on February 10, 2012

(less)Avantika goes gaga over Imran Khan
"Unke saath aayi hain. Avantika hain.
" But Avantika herself was blissfully unaware of all this and her surroundings, and sat on the front row for Karan Johar and Varun Bahl's show, chatting happily with the few who'd come with Karan, Katrina and Imran's entourage. But that was till Imran returned after walking the ramp.
She was already backstage, waiting. "You looked so good.
You did great," she told him, as she gave him a hug. "He looked very hot, na? Superb.
I loved Imran on the ramp," she told us and turned back to talk to Imran and Katrina. "You were patakha," she told Imran and turned to Kat, saying the same thing.
And once this was done with, and she 'happy smile'-posed with her hubby, she took out a few minutes to speak to us. So what's her dress sense like? "Whatever is comfortable," she finished the sentence.
"I know it is a very cliched answer, but it is very hard for someone of my body type to find the right kind of clothes. I am so tiny.
..
so curvy, and I hardly find ready-to-wear that fits right. But I like to have fun with what I wear.
I never go overboard - even for my wedding, I did not go for bling, that's not me." Talking of wedding, how's marriage treating her? "It's fun, I'm having a blast," said Avantika.
Any new discoveries about hubby? "There's nothing really new to discover, I've known him for too long a time for that, but marriage is a different level of things, and like I said, I am liking it. Having a blast," she laughed.
By this time, Imran joined us. How was it walking the ramp? He looked up, rolled his eyes, wriggled his eyebrows.
..
"You looked really good," someone complimented him. "Well, it was good.
See, everyone's telling me I looked good, that I did it well," said Imran. Has he done this before? "Two years ago, once.
" He looked quite confident on the ramp, but how was the feeling inside? "Nervous." Why? "Because it is not my area, not what I usually do.
It is very different from acting," he managed to say, before the couple were once again mobbed by people who wanted to get clicked with them
(less)Imran Khan is a Kareena Kapoor fan
Says Karan, "Short Term Shaadi was just a working title that attached itself to this film through the making. Neither Shakun Batra (who makes his directorial debut here) nor I were happy with it from the start, so we went title hunting.
Just recently, we settled on Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, but there was a process attached to getting it, hence the delayed announcement.'' KJo adds that the new title fits this rom-com perfectly well.
He says, "Short Term Shaadi wasn't giving the right vibe. This story is about the conversational chemistry between these two very beautiful people - Imran and Kareena.
EMAET is a witty, feel-good, slice-of-life comedy and it conveys the energies of this couple.'' Revealing a secret, Karan says, "Imran is a self-confessed Kareena fan.
When I saw these two together in one frame at the photo shoot, I realised that they were a smashing couple. Casting them together was a wise decision.
It is amazing that Kareena is romancing Aamir in one film and then his nephew Imran in another. Getting Bebo and Imran together is a coup of sorts.
'' Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu will release on February 10 and KJo recommends it as the perfect Valentine's Day flick. Says he, "You can watch it with your friend or with your date.
'' He also feels that this could well be Dharma Productions' hat-trick in the romcom genre; the earlier two being Wake Up Sid and I Hate Luv Storys. "Shakun and Imran are close friends.
And this film also shows their comfort level as an actor-director team,'' he says, adding, "Kareena hasn't done a romcom in a while; Imran has made a perfect place for himself in this genre. As I said earlier, this film has captured the conversational chemistry of these two perfectly.
And though Imran has acted with several other leading ladies, the USP of Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu is seeing Bebo and him together for the first time."

Even when Imran was asked to choose the most stylish actress of B-Town, he was quick to respond, and said: "I think my vote goes to Kareena." Produced by Karan Johar, Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu is directed by Shakun Batra and will release around Valentine's Day next year.

Alia Bhatt: Other than David Dhawan's son, Karan Johar will also be introducing Mahesh Bhatt's daughter Alia Bhatt in his campus love-story 'Student of the Year'. Alia Bhatt is Mahesh Bhatt's daughter from his second wife Soni Razdan.
Again like in the case of Varun Dhawan, even Alia isn't being launched by the Bhatt banner Vishesh Films, especially when Bhatts are known for introducing several new talents in Bollywood. Nevertheless with Karan Johar at the helm of affairs, it should be a dream debut for Alia anyways.
Siddharth Malhotra: Siddharth completes the debut factor in the lead cast of Karan Johar's 'Student of the Year'. Not to be confused with the director of We Are Family (also a Karan Johar production), Siddharth Malhotra is a Delhi boy who boasts of great looks.
Karan Johar would ensure he acts well too. Arjun Kapoor: 2012 seems to be a year when most celebrity children are being launched in banners outside their home productions.
Prominent Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor's son and Anil Kapoor's nephew, Arjun Kapoor will be launched by Yash Raj Films. Arjun was to debut with a film called 'Virus Diwan' until the banner scrapped the project and is now introducing him with 'Ishaqzaade' to be directed by Do Dooni Chaar director Habib Faisal.
Like Cousin Sonam Kapoor, even Arjun used to be overweight at 140 kgs. But under Salman Khan's gym-guidance, he lost oodles of weight and is now his smashing-self.
Arjun Kapoor assisted on films like Kal Ho Na Ho, Salaam-e-Ishq, Wanted and No Entry . Ileana D'cruz: Ileana is a popular Telugu actress who has to her credit superhit films like Pokiri, Kick and Nenu Naa Rakshasi.
She makes her Bollywood debut opposite Ranbir Kapoor in 'Barfii'. Director Anurag Basu has put her through meticulous diction coaching so that she is comfortable with the Hindi language.
And with Ranbir playing a mute character, she is expected to do all the talking in the film. Subsequently she will be seen opposite Akshay Kumar in 'Khiladi 786' and 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai 2'.
Tapsee Pannu: Another Telugu actress Tapsee Pannu will be making her debut in the remake of 'Chashme Buddoor' being directed by David Dhawan. The charming actress will be reprising Deepti Naval's role from the original and is paired opposite Ali Zafar in the film.
Tapsee was a Miss India contestant in 2008. Amy Jackson: After Katrina Kaif and Nargis Fakhri, Amy Jackson in another foreign import in Bollywood who will make her debut opposite Prateik Babbar in 'Ek Deewana Tha' - the Hindi remake of Tamil hit Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa .
The ravishing looking actress has won titles like Miss Teen 2008 and has already worked in a Tamil film Madrasapattinam . Esha Gupta: Model Esha Gupta bagged the role in 'Jannat 2' for her hot looks and sex appeal.
Bhatts wanted an actress with a bold body language and thereby she replaced girl-next-door Prachi Desai who was earlier signed for the film. The dusky bombshell is known as the desi Angelina Jolie in modeling world and was also considered as the second lead for Krrish sequel.
Pulkit Samrat: Best known for his television stint as Lakshya Virani in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi , Pulkit Samrat was out of the scene following fallout with Ekta Kapoor. He now makes his Bollywood debut with 'Bittoo Boss' from the same banner that produced the hilarious flick Pyaar Ka Punchnama with a complete new cast.
Imran Zahid: Imran Zahid would be another Bhatt discovery who will debut with 'Jannat 2'. This theatre artist has worked with Mahesh Bhatt earlier and Jannat 2 will mark his foray into feature films
(less)Will Aamir ditch Imran?
Says Imran, Both DB and MBKD have done well. I am extremely happy that I am having a party at homethis Thursday for a select few friends from the industry.
'' Imran who is staying a make-shift address because his iconic bungalow 24 Pali Hill is under renovationis entertaining at home. Friends like Karan Johar , Punit Malhotra , Deepika Padukone , Kunal Kohli , Kareena Kapoor are expected.
I honestly don't know where Aamir(Mamu) is,'' says Imran, when asked if uncle Aamir Khan would also bethere to join the celebrations
(less)Why should I say 'sorry' to Ranbir Kapoor: Sonam Kapoor
Pankaj Kapur is known to be a very hard taskmaster..
. Not with me.
He never raised his voice at me. He knew that I prepared a lot before coming to the sets.
I imbibed a lot from his narrations. But yes, every actor is different and Pankaj Sir dealt with each one of us differently.
Once I met him, I knew that I wouldn't be sidelined in the film even though his son was the hero. And did his son live up to his reputation of being a meddler? I haven't worked with Shahid before Mausam, so I don't know how he behaves otherwise.
But during the filming of Mausam, he was extremely respectful of his father and obeyed him completely. I know there were rumours of Shahid and me not getting along as well.
The truth is, Shahid and I share a very good equation. We are good friends.
Just because I am not having an affair with my hero, doesn't mean I don't get along with him. Let me tell you something about him.
..
Go on..
. He doesn't give a damn about what he wears.
He is too much of a teenager who dresses up like an 18-year-old skateboarder. He can pull off just about anything without raising eyebrows.
But..
.and it's hilarious.
..
he is extremely worried about his hair. But you, on the other hand, are too particular about what you wear.
I don't wear tight dresses that outline my butt. I refuse to get into body hugging tops with spandex simply because it doesn't fit my body type.
I do not believe in cosmetic surgeries either. I think, every single imperfection adds to your beauty.
I'd rather be imperfect than perfect. And yes, I have a certain sense of aesthetics.
Think about it..
. I still look good in both Indian and Western wear.
(And she winks) Maybe not tight clothes, but would you ever sport a bikini? I don't have a body like Deepika Padukone or Bipasha Basu. But if it's a beach scene, I surely can't wear a salwar kameez, right? Speaking about Deepika, why haven't you two resolved your cold war? She is sweet if and when we meet.
However, we haven't met since we made an appearance on Karan Johar's show. We don't have time, I guess.
Also, for two people to be friends, they need to think alike, isn't it? Correct me if I'm wrong..
. but you are not apologetic about your remarks against Ranbir on Karan Johar's show.
No correction required. You are not wrong.
Well, it was Ranbir who started it all by saying 'Sonam is not sexy'. I just shot back and said 'Ranbir is not sexy'.
If a man says it, chalta hai. But when a woman says the same thing, nahi chalta hai? That's sexist! Why should I say 'sorry' to him? Just because his father made a hue and cry about it? If Ranbir apologises to me, I shall too.
So, you don't talk to Ranbir anymore..
. I don't know Ranbir anymore.
He is not my friend now. I did have offers to act opposite him but I turned them down.
And that's simply because I thought that those roles did not suit me. If I get something nice, I'll act with him.
It isn't necessary for me to be friends with all my actors. How do you judge whether a role suits you or not? Depends on my mood.
I am eccentric.(Smiles) Punit Malhotra? What about him? He was my director in I Hate Luv Storys.
You are dating him..
. I shall talk about my personal life if and when I decide to get married.
That day is yet to come
(less)Sonakshi can have Ranveer: Anushka Sharma
Yes, there are films where girls wear revealing outfits for just the heck of it. Sorry, Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl is not that kind of a film.
But you did bold scenes in Band Baaja Baraat and Badmaash Company. Are there objections from your family now? 0Not at all.
I see it as a job and my parents see it as my job too. And I am not doing what I do on screen in front of my parents.
My parents are very intelligent and broadminded. I come from an army background.
In fact, I am more orthodox than my parents. People believe that you have become anorexic.
..
Rubbish. I am very tall.
5' 9" to be precise. This means that if I really put on weight, I shall start looking like a giant.
I don't have the tendency to put on weight. (Pauses) Go on.
..
After seeing me in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, people got the wrong impression. In the film, they made me look bigger.
I have always been a lean girl. And for heaven's sake, I am not anorexic.
Anorexics eat so little. Watch me eat and you shall know (laughs)! It's also said that you travel with an entourage.
..
Well, I know of actresses who do. But I don't.
Only my Man Friday Babu travels with me. At an awards function, you asked for a vanity van as big as Shah Rukh Khan.
..
Firstly, we had been given rooms and not vans. I cannot compare myself to Shah Rukh even in my dreams.
There was an actress who wanted a room as big as SRK's but I shall not name her. It's said you don't get along with Sonakshi Sinha .
..
Untrue. We are fine with each other.
Are we are supposed to be at loggerheads because of a guy (Ranveer Singh)? It is so immature to fight with another girl for any guy. As I said in Karan Johar's chat show, she is free to have Ranveer because I am not dating him.
But you were dating Ranveer at a point in time? We never dated each other. We are very good friends.
But we are two very different individuals. I am a restrained person.
He is totally opposite. It's not possible for us to date.
Yes, we are very fond of each other. But at the same time, we can even beat each other up.
We have a very volatile friendship. We heard you didn't like Ranveer getting close to Parineeti Chopra.
..
Ridiculous. Please do not embarrass two of my co-actors.
And let's respect women. Is Parineeti a friend? Gosh! Can't I defend her on moral grounds? But Ranveer said in an interview recently that he and you have drifted apart Probably we weren't shooting together in those days.
So there might have been less communication. So are you and Shahid Kapoor dating now? Am I not supposed to be dating almost everybody currently? I am dating Shahid.
I am dating Arjun Kapoor . I am also dating Ranbir Kapoor .
Baba, I am single. I am 23, isn't it natural for me to go out with my friends? Shahid, Arjun and Ranveer are my closest friends.
I still don't know Ranbir well enough. Out of Shahid, Imran, Ranveer and Ranbir, who do you think is the best looking? 1.
Shahid and 2. Imran And the hottest? (Smiles) Ranveer.
Something about the four actors' flip sides..
. Shahid wears his heart on his sleeve, he trusts people too easily.
Ranveer is a spontaneous actor, yet he goes methodical. He drinks four litre of coffee every day.
Imran is intelligent and has a dry, wicked sense of humour. Out of the four, whom would you want to be marooned on an island with? Ranveer (smiles).
Since I know him the most, we will find our way back quickly
(less)Imran organises exhibit of Kareena's candid pics
The young actor has always maintained he is a huge fan of Kareena and captured some candid moments on his lens while working together. "She (Kareena) is the most beautiful actress I have worked with.
I found her beautiful right from her first film 'Refugee'," he said. Imran had even admitted that he had a huge crush on Kareena in his boyhood days.
"I could not articulate my feelings to her..
.I nursed a silent crush.
When we started working together in this film we got along really well. I observed her closely while we were shooting and even took her pictures without her knowing it," Imran had said.

(less)Karan Johar's getting popular on endorsement circuit
It changed the way people across the globe started treating me.'' The filmmaker who is ready to start the schedule of his film Student of the Year on August 16 at Mumbai's Yashraj Studio with new-comers will take a break in the third week of August to shoot for Emami cosmetics.
Karan has already shot for Nescafe with Deepika Padukone and Purab Kohli, Star HD, Lloyd and he is now expected to shoot for Emami. The filmmaker-cum-talk-show-host is also being asked to endorse a couple of more lifestyle products say sources.
More on that at a later date
(less)Karan Johar chooses his directors on instinct
In the recent past, Johar has given a platform to first-time directors like Ayan Mukherji for Wake Up Sid ; Rensil D'Silva for Kurbaan ; Tarun Mansukhani for Dostana ; Siddhartha Malhotra for We Are Family ; and Punit Malhotra for I Hate Luv Storys . His upcoming production, Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu is also directed by newcomer Shakun Batra, while Johar's co-production with Ekta Kapoor will see newcomer Akshay Roy wielding the megaphone.
"I think it's an instinct that I have. I have got it right some times and I have gone wrong with it at times but mostly, I have gone right with the directors I have worked with because they are solid human beings and that is what I look for," the 39-year-old said here at the success party of Agneepath , a remake of his father's 1990 film by the same name.
Karan also has a handy tip for all the directors who are trying to work their way to the top. "The only thing that I did in my first film and that I would tell every first director is that let your work speak for yourself.
I never gave a single interview till Kuch Kuch Hota Hai released because I had nothing to say." "Why should anyone hear me out when they had not seen the work that I had done," said Johar, who hit the jackpot with his debut film and continued his success story with his second film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham .
"Now Karan Malhotra is open to the world of media and I would like him to spread his wings and fly and today you can ask many things from him because you have seen his film," he added. Johar's last directorial venture was My Name Is Khan for which he won the Filmfare award for best director.

(less)Prateik Babbar gives gymming tips
zoOm learned that he's a fitness fanatic and loves to spend time in the gym. Recently, on the sets of the film, a bunch of teenagers spotted Prateik.
Impressed by his toned body, they immediately gathered around him and started asking for tips on how to build a perfect body. Humbled by their gesture, Prateik took them aside and sat down with them to dole out some gymming gyaan.
By the end of it, he told them that a fit body was worth more than anything. Well, what can we say? That was the most 'fitting' advice.

(less)My dad is crazy: Sonam Kapoor
In fact, Sonam told Mumbai Mirror that she always thought Abhay was 'the most talented actor' and that they had stayed in touch even when 'he was in Spain shooting for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara'. "He said something weird about my dad.
I didn't like it. But to be honest, it's between my dad and Abhay," said the same actress who had earlier expressed her shock over Abhay's comments about Anil Kapoor .
The actress who clearly stays separate from her father's affairs also stated that being a star kid has not really helped her in her career. "My dad is crazy.
He thinks I am headstrong. But I always have this thing.
..
I have to do everything on my own," she added. But when it comes to dressing (and that is one thing she does really well), Sonam is totally dependent on her sister Rhea.
"My Players look is completely Rhea. I gave her a brief that I want to look sexy but not 'nanga'.
I am all covered up in the film and yet I look sexy. The entire credit goes to Rhea," said the actress.
While her style quotient has remained a constant, the roles she has played have been extremely diverse. From intense drama in her debut Saawariya to a rom-com I Hate Luv Storys and now the action packed Players, was the choice intentional? "No one has ever asked me this before," said a surprised Sonam and added, "I love the fact that directors feel I can do everything.
I'm glad to get all kind of roles. I get to wear Indian clothes as well as western.
It's exhilarating. I have multiple personality so I can play multiple genres.
And though I am not very intelligent, there is a little bit of thought that goes behind my choice of films."
(less)Kareena is magic: Imran Khan
"She is like a light bulb. The second the director says 'action', this light comes up and you can't take your eyes off her.
She is magic," Imran said on the sidelines of an event here. Imran's crackling chemistry with Kareena in the promos of Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu is there for all to see.
In fact, he was so much in awe of the 31-year-old stunner that he ended up taking almost 100 pictures of Kareena during the film shoot. Producer Karan Johar has suggested he exhibit the pictures soon.

Whether it's while working out at the gym, or while I am stuck in a traffic jam, while walking around the park with my wife, or while partying with my friends at a nightclub.
And I can't help but notice the one common factor in all these situations - SEX - or at least the thought of it! You must be wondering what is so sexy about being stuck in traffic or sweating it out in the gym? Or walking in the park with your own wife!

(less)Kunal Kapoor's weighty issues
If the plot of the movie highlights food, the shoot destination Ludhiana, too boasts of a rich culinary heritage. Amid all this Kunal could not stop digging into the sumptuous Punjabi food.
"It's nice to eat Punjabi cuisine as it's not only tasty but also quite healthy. But in all this I ate so much that once I get back to Mumbai I will have to start exercising to get in shape," said Kunal.
Sources said Kunal could not stop himself from eating, as he's a thorough foodie. The movie is about a joint Punjabi family which bonds over food.
"It's a different movie, probably the first one that has food in everything," he said. We hear Kunal ate tandoori chicken besides trying its other greasy variants.
"I am trying to cut on eating as it's making me fat," he laughed. However, Kunal relished every moment he spent in Punjab.
"I even tasted utterly delicious food in the rural belt. Pure ghee, fat laden milk and other things I was in a village called Lalto where the villagers would get me some ethnic Punjabi dishes.
Who cares about weight when you get to eat such rich food? I will get rid of extra fat by spending time in the gym," he said
(less)I highly recommend marriage to everyone: Avantika Malik
. Avantika Malik and Imran Khan completed one year of marriage last week.
But there were no surprises for her. She's known her beau-turned-husband for 10 years.
They even lived together for a year in Los Angeles when he was training to be an actor. Soon after the wedding the young couple moved out of their family home, which is currently being renovated, and are living in a teenie (well, by their standards) apartment like any other working couple next door.
They don't even have a live-in maid. In her first-ever interview, Avantika talks about the highs and lows, getting along with her hubby's co-stars, and getting back to work.
Are you Avantika Malik, Avantika Khan or Avantika Malik Khan? I am Avantika Malik. One thing you discovered about Imran after marriage? Nothing.
I've known him for too long, so the only surprise was how easy marriage is if you meet the right person. I feel very blessed and lucky.
And I highly recommend marriage to everyone. Is Imran a better husband or boyfriend? He's a better husband, there's no doubt about it.
He's fantastic. He's the best person to live with because he is able to be with you and be supportive, but also gives you tremendous space.
He really looks after me, I have to give him that. Especially when we were moving into our own space and I was really nervous.
I have lived in my mom's house all my life, except for the year-and-a-half in LA as a student, so there were no responsibilities. I was nervous about whether I would be able to run a house, but he was very supportive of me, and in everything that I have chosen to do or not do.
Most actors have an entourage around them. Imran doesn't.
Is that him or you? I think it's both of us. But it's him first.
He's so regular. Our intimate group of friends are people who have been with us since school and college.
We have made many friends in the industry, but our core group remains the same. And we both like it that way.
He doesn't like to surround himself by people who constantly tell him how great he is, because that can make you lose touch with reality. I am so grateful he's that way.
We are a normal young couple, as normal as you can be with him being a movie star. Is it difficult being married to a movie star? He could have been a banker or a lawyer, it's just his work.
I am an ordinary girl in love with a boy who happens to be a movie star. It's very consuming work and it does take away from his life in a way while he is making a film, as it should be.
I don't think there is any other way to do it. I just feel like I fell in love with this boy 10 years ago, he was a 19-20 then, and though he's grown tremendously in many ways, his core being is still the same.
I will give him a lot of credit too, as when Jaane Tu..
. Ya Jaane Na was releasing, we were thinking about when we should get married because we had been together for so long.
And I remember my mother-in-law telling me, 'Wait for two years. Right now he's just started, you have to see what happens with fame and success and how you both handle it as a couple.
' I give Imran a lot of credit because he hasn't changed in any way. Except that he's more confident as he knows what he's achieved.
Is there any part of his career that you don't like? Just that I feel a lot of time he's just gone! But right now since you have no kids, you can travel and be with him, no? True, but I have a routine here, things that I like doing and I have an entire world of my own that I enjoy. So I would feel very inadequate if I gave that up and just left.
How do you deal with the highs and lows he goes through as an actor? The kind of person he is, he handles it with aplomb. His career started off on a major high and he saw tremendous success with Jaane Tu.
..
but he handled it beautifully. At no point did he lose his grounding.
For me, his lows were heartbreaking. I am very protective about him.
I see all the things that are so great about him that when someone else can't see them it bothers me. When people would write things about him that are untrue, or give him bad reviews, I would get very worked up.
In fact his mom and I were discussing this, when he was having a hard time, he was taking care of me not the other way around..
So now the negative stories don't upset me the way they used to in the beginning. Now he's had a successful year and I hope that they continue in life so there's a balance.
How is he on a Friday before release? He's calm, cool, collected, sleeping, and eating normally. And me? Not sleeping, not eating, really nervous, running up and down.
He is Zen! He's like now I have done the work. I have done my bit in the film and promoting it, so now jo hota hai dekhenge.
..
Lot of star wives get involved their husbands work like designing their clothes, or managing their dates or producing films etc, have you considered that? As far as being involved in his career, the extent of it is we have a discussion if it's a big decision which will affect everyone. But ultimately he's a decision maker, whether he should do a film or not do a film.
And I like to keep my life separate from his as much as possible. What about producing films? I have always wanted to produce films and I will do that.
But it won't necessarily mean it will be because of Imran or because he's in my film. I want to produce films, I am very clear, as I believe I have a keen understanding of films; I have produced films in the past.
And I feel like there were a lot of things that were happening there, corporate set up and things had to be done in a certain way. There were a lot of things I was keen on that didn't happen, but I feel like I developed a sense and feel for films.
Now it comes instinctively to me. You can't be married to someone who is deeply entrenched in films and not love it yourself.
I think that would be difficult. I want to produce films I am just waiting for the house to get ready.
My mom-in-law is working, Imran is working, so I am the only one who is overseeing the work right now, so I don't want to lose track. But by the end of the year, I would like to get back to work.
You reaction to his kissing and intimate scenes in films is..
..
(laughs) I can't remember the first time he had a kissing scene. In Jaane Tu.
..
there was one peck with Manjiri, and I was so worked up because then it was all too new for me and I was like how will things go, this that, but now I am fine. It's his work and I know him so well.
..
He told me it's not the most comfortable thing in the world, it's quite uncomfortable, there are 100 of people, retakes, so no matter what you might imagine, that it's exciting, it's very uncomfortable and it's part of his job. Which of his co-stars are you friends with? You won't believe this but I like all of them.
If you ask me who I am very friendly with then, it has to be Deepika and Sonam. Because we are almost the same age, and we were all a gang during I Hate Luv storys and Break Ke Baad, and we had a blast making those two films.
But I cannot tell you how wonderful all of them have been to me and am being very honest. Genelia, Deepika, Sonam, Katrina and Kareena they have all been really wonderful.
And everyone asks me, 'You don't feel insecure, upset that he's working with these gorgeous women because they are all so stunning.' And I give him credit, as I know how he's so faithful but also these girls have been really lovely to me and we should give them some credit some times.
Is Imran the perfectionist like his uncle Aamir? No. actually he's quite easy going.
Hes particular about his work and certain things. I know he's made jokes about these things, but how his things are lined up in the bathroom.
And he's very particular about these things. He's a very good boy.
But the human being that he is, they don't make men like him anymore, they just don't. And I keep telling him that for me the most important thing I love about him is that he's a good person.
I have seen him grow as an actor and I know he puts his everything into it and if you are honest to your work eventually you will achieve whatever you want. What do you guys fight about most? We don't really fight that much.
Considering I am a feisty person, I think he just knows how to handle me. (laughs) We fight about silly things like how much time he spends on the ipad or things like that.
But no major conflict. His most annoying habit? Ipad! Phone! Computer! I think he's addicted to the internet and he is Mr.
Know it all. Like if you ask him Imran how do you fix this? He will be like give me a second! And start typing.
He will Google everything, we should make him the brand ambassador of Google. Which film of Imran's is your favourite? It would be hard to pick between Jaane Tu and Delhi Belly because Jaane Tu he had this incredible boyish charm and looked so good.
In DB he was scruffy and with stubble..
I am caught between whether I like him more as the cute chocolate boy or huis grungy look. I love them both.
That's the best part of being married to an actor is that I come out of a theatre and have a crush on him all over again. It's an incredible feeling, after 10 years of togetherness to watch a film of his and find him so good looking and charming and sexy, and it's like falling in love all over again.
It has happened to me with most of his films. Can't conclude without asking any plans to start a family? Not for a while! When it happens organically, it will.
Is there any part of his career that you don't like? Just that I feel a lot of time he's just gone! Like if he is shooting for six months in Agra or Delhi, he's not here. For Mere Brother Ki Dulhan he was gone for three months straight.
I have a routine, my own life and I cannot possibly just leave to be with him for months wherever he goes..
. and that distance is something I don't like.
Now again he has to go for Vishal's (Bhardwaj) film..
He is Zen! He's like 'now I have done the work. I have done my bit in the film and promoting it, so now jo hota hai dekhenge.
..
' Many star wives get involved their husbands work like designing their clothes, or managing their dates or producing films etc. Have you considered that? As far as being involved in his career, the extent of it is we have a discussion.
And if it's a big decision which will affect everyone. But ultimately, he's a decision-maker, whether he should do a film or not do a film.
I want to produce films.
I am just waiting for the house to get ready. My mom-in-law is working, Imran is working, so I am the only one who is overseeing the work right now, so I don't want to lose track.
But by the end of the year, I would like to get back to work. You reaction to his kissing and intimate scenes in films? (laughs) I can't remember the first time he had a kissing scene.
In Jaane Tu..
. there was one peck with Manjiri, and I was so worked up because then it was all too new for me and I was like 'how will things go', but now I am fine.
It's his work and I know him so well..
Because we are almost the same age, and we were all a gang during I Hate Luv Storys and Break Ke Baad. We had a blast making those two films.
But I cannot tell you how wonderful all of them have been to me and am being very honest. Genelia, Deepika, Sonam, Katrina and Kareena have all been really wonderful.
And everyone asks me, 'You don't feel insecure, upset that he's working with these gorgeous women because they are all so stunning.' And I give him credit, as I know how he's so faithful but also these girls have been really lovely to me and we should give them some credit sometimes.
Is Imran a perfectionist like his uncle Aamir? No. Actually, he's quite easy going.
His iPad! His phone! His computer! I think he's addicted to the internet and he is a Mr Know-It-All.
If you ask him how to fix something, he will say 'gimme a second. I'll look it up.
' He will Google everything..
. we should make him the brand ambassador of Google.
Which film of Imran's is your favourite? It would be hard to pick between Jaane Tu and Delhi Belly because in Jaane Tu, he had this incredible boyish charm and looked so good. In DB he was scruffy.
I am caught between whether I like him more as the cute chocolate boy or his grungy look. I love them both.
That's the best part of being married to an actor is that I come out of a theatre and have a crush on him all over again. It's an incredible feeling, after 10 years of togetherness, to watch a film of his and find him so good-looking and charming and sexy, and it's like falling in love all over again.
It has happened to me with most of his films. Any plans to start a family? Not for a while! When it happens organically, it will
(less)I'm getting more time to promote Mausam: Sonam
"I have never done a perfect love story. The film is about two people who want to be together.
Here both of them love each other. I have never done a love story where both of them love each other," said the actress who featured in films like Delhi-6 , I Hate Luv Storys , Aisha and Thank You .
Sonam, daughter of actor Anil Kapoor, is confident she would sustain long in the industry. "I know that I am here to stay.
I work very hard and hopefully I would be here for a long time," said the 26-year-old. Tweet
(less)I had knees of a 65-yr-old: Bipasha Basu
Talking to Mumbai Mirror, the actress recalled the time when she was shooting for Anees Bazmee's No Entry. "I was quite overweight and used to cover myself intelligently so that I didn't end up looking fat.
I realised I needed to shed weight," she revealed. In a tearing hurry to get into shape, Bipasha started running.
..
on roads, the treadmill..
. without help from a professional trainer.
"I had no knowledge about health and fitness and even went on crash diets. Suddenly, I started getting excruciating pain in my knees, with days when I could barely stand.
I spoke to Hrithik Roshan , Shah Rukh Khan and many other colleagues, who recommended some top doctors," the actress said. She was advised to undergo a MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) and the reports made her go numb with shock.
"They said I was suffering from an extreme condition. My knees had become like that of a 65-year-old person," she remembered.
Even more shocking was learning that her condition was extremely rare in youngsters. It made her wonder, "Why did I get it? Where do I go from here?" One of the doctors told her she wouldn't be able to do any action sequences or even stand for long hours.
Another medico advised her bed rest. "I wept for three days and nights at a stretch.
My parents were out and I just didn't know what was happening," revealed Bips. On the fourth day though, the actress gathered all her courage and told herself, "It can't be this way, I need to fight it out.
You live life only once, don't you?" That was only the beginning of Bipasha's struggles. She spoke to Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh , both fitness freaks.
She started reading, buying all sorts of books, surfing the internet for information. It was then that she met sports physiotherapist Himakshi Basu, who assured her she would be able to do most of the things sooner or later except that patience was key.
The first ultimatum Himakshi gave Bipasha was to lose weight, especially around her knees. "I got into weight training.
Importantly, I was told to strengthen my thigh and butt muscles to maintain the correct balance so as to offset the weak knees," Bipasha revealed. There are things she has been advised not to do like wearing heels or walking down stairs.
She has also been asked to do twenty minutes in the gym before starting her other workouts. And while the condition is definitely better than what it was say two or three years ago, Bipasha rues the fact that she is still living with osteoarthritis.
"I am still under therapy and will always be..
. throughout my life.
However now, I do it myself." The good news is that Bipasha, who is looking forward to her next release Jodi Breakers has come out a winner from her experience.
"When you have such a condition, it ends up making you very strong mentally. I feel physically strong too.
I can kick like a footballer ," she laughed. By her own admission, the actress is taking Glucosamine Chondrotin supplements to counter further cartilage damage.
"You realise that being beautiful and sexy is not all that matters. Rather, you need to respect the body you are born with," she said.
What experts say Osteoarthritis is a disorder, mainly caused due to wear and tear of the joint muscles. Also known as Degenerative Joint Disease, Osteoarthritis involves degradation of the articular cartilage and subchondral bone.
"The condition is manageable in the initial stages. If one follows the physical exercise and diet regime," said Dr Ameet Pispati, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon attached to Jaslok and Bhatia hospital.
Commonly seen in elderly patients, experts say that the trend has shifted to the younger generation due to excessive activities. "Physiotherapy helps in mobility of the affected muscles," said physiotherapist Dr Ali Irani, who has been treating celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan.

(less)Salman Khan prefers Karan Johar over Shah Rukh Khan
(less)Imran is loyal: Karan Johar
(Read Luck and Kidnap) Imran is back to Dharma's staple with 'Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu' in which he will be seen with Kareena Kapoor. On casting Imran, Karan Johar said, 'Imran is in-house, loyal, productive and energetic.
Its great to have him back, he is a promising actor." Karan has maintained his take on Imran from day one.
Imran reciprocated by stating, "It's wonderful to be back. I am pampered every time I work with Dharma, in fact I am taken for granted when I work with family but these guys are really great.

(less)Exhibition Of Kareena's pics by Imran Khan
There are now about a 100 pictures Imran personally took of Kareena. "I find Kareena one of the most beautiful actresses that we have.
When I was looking at her through viewfinder, I realised that camera loves her. People who have seen these pictures keep saying that I am a good photographer, but actually it is her beauty and versatility of her face which is doing the trick," said Imran.
Directed by first-timer Shakun Batra , the film's first trailer was released with "The Dirty Picture" and it is expected to come out around Valentine's Day. The exhibition of Imran's pics of Kareena is now being planned
(less)Kareena Kapoor caught between Mama-Bhanja
Says Imran, ""Oh that's an easy banter..
. I love to tease Kareena.
"" Not that Kareena minds it because she is very good friends with both of them. Interestingly, the mama-bhanja are so busy with their respective films that they hardly get the time to meet each other these days.
And it looks like Kareena bridges the distance between the two. ""It's an absolute pleasure working with Aamir and young Imran.
Both are really very adorable as co stars,"" says Kareena
(less)Imran Khan: Biggest gay icon
"It is flattering to be called a gay icon," Imran told the magazine in an exclusive interview. "`I have always been a supporter of gay rights.
" When asked if he was ready for a desi Brokeback, he quipped: "Sure, why not!". In the accompanying candid interview, Imran talked about the success of Delhi Belly , his new films with Katrina and Kareena and why he 'locked lips' with dost Ranbir Kapoor on Karan Johar's show

(less)No embarrassment in kissing, says Bipasha
"For me, love making is no big deal, it is like any other thing. But when it comes to kissing, I have not overcome it.
It is tough. I feel it is too private a moment and also the way we are we brought up, the kind of cinema we are exposed to when I started acting, kissing was not a regular thing.
But now, in every film, kissing is regular," Bipasha told PTI. "When I see an English film, I feel it is no big deal, but when I have to do it, it's a very big deal.
I have still not overcome it, it is bit of a block that I have," she said. In her 11 years of acting career, Bipasha has done two kissing scenes-- one with John in Jism and Ranbir Kapoor in Bachna Ae Haseeno .
"When I had to do it (a kissing scene) I was paranoid. Every day I used to go to Adi and Siddharth saying 'please cancel this, please get it out', and they use to laugh at it saying it is small thing.
But I was petrified. I have not done many kissing scenes, except two," she said.
Despite kissing being a regular feature on celluloid, filmmakers struggle to capture the perfect moment on screen, and the Bengali bombshell feels it is due to the inhibitions that the actors have. "It is because of the inhibitions that we actors have.
The moment you see actors are not inhibited, it looks right. I have some inhibitions, so it is very tough for me.
It takes a lot of thinking and struggle. I feel like some bomb is going to explode on my head," the 32-year-old actress said.
Ask her if filmmakers continue to explore her 'sexy' image and the actress says there is nothing wrong in that. "I think they feel I look fitter and look good and can carry off a bikini.
If somebody looks good they will tell you to wear it (bikini). But there have been times when I have said no a lot.
I can do an Akrosh or Lamha as convincingly as I did Players in bikini. Films like Players can carry a bikini.
As it is on the lines of Fast and Furious , it does not look out of place," Bipasha said. "In Dum Maro Dum , Rohan (Sippy) had asked me to wear a bikini, I said 'No', as it does not make any sense.
Why to wear a bikini..
.it was not going in sink.
So in this film ( Players , I saw the sense of it and that's why I wore it," she said. In Abbas-Mustan's forthcoming film Players , the actress will be seen in a red hot bikini.
"They are kind of directors, who are really bold and they have lot of sense of fashion and style and they will never make it look vulgar. There is a fine line between looking vulgar, sexy and stylish," Bipasha said.
Ask her how she got into this beach-body, Bipasha says, "When you are wearing a bikini, it is going to be there on the celluloid and you don't want to embarrass yourself. I am totally into fitness.
We did training for about six weeks. I don't do dieting, I hate dieting.
I can beat the gym, I don't get tired by it. But when it comes to dieting, I get really angry.
" "For six weeks there were no sweets and I was so angry all the time. I could only see laddu, gulab jamun and all the sweets flying by.
When I finished the sequence, it was icy cold and everyone was in winter wear and I was in bikini, I was like I will die today," she said. Tweet
(less)Diet was a four letter word at 17 for Neha Dhupia
I remember being outdoors a lot playing basketball with friends, squash with my dad and practically living in the pool during the holidays. The season didn't matter, it was the season of fun and games.
Unlike those who live in Mumbai and have to rely on treadmills to walk, I had the advantage of having parks and boulevards where me and my girlfriends would go for strolls without a care in the world. Gym memberships were unheard of, and diet was a four letter word I hadn't heard of.
All that changed when I won the Miss India contest and then joined films but I will remember those days with nostalgia but with much fondness. As told to Lisa Antao

(less)Censors & I don’t have a sex life: Karan Johar

(less)Imran Khan not in favour of remakes
If I feel that I loved a particular movie, then I would like to see the hero of that film only doing that role. I watch 'Sholay' for Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra.
I wouldn't like anyone else doing that," the 28-year-old told IANS. He has similar thoughts about sequels.
"Sometimes people make sequels unnecessarily..
.just because the film has worked.
If it has a scope, like if it's an action film or a superhero film, then I can understand. But it should not be made without a reason," he said the actor who has done films like "Jaane Tu.

(less)Hrithik Roshan pumps it up
In fact, this time around, Hrithik will be seen in his muscular best. The actor who first dropped a few sizes for Zoya Akhtar's Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and then gained it all back for Karan Johar's Agneepath by consuming as many as 22 eggs a day, has started training under Satyajit Chaurasia for his forthcoming film, Krissh sequel.
A source informed Mumbai Mirror, "Hrithik has to undergo muscle maturity now. Woh kafi lean ho gaya hai.
He has to gain some weight for Krissh sequel." And the man assigned for the job is his physical trainer, Satyajit Chaurasia.
The training will start 14 days from now. Revealed the source, "Hrithik did gain weight for Agneepath.
But now that he finished the portions where he was supposed to look bulky, he has again become lean. He needs to follow a strict diet plan and exercise regimen to get into the shape his father Rakesh Roshan wants for the sequel to Krissh.
" When contacted, Chaurasia said, "Yes, Hrithik will undergo training to increase his muscle maturity. I will be with him on it.
" Hrithik has a deadline too. Krrish 2 goes on floors in a month.
Hence, Hrithik will be undergoing at least 4 hours of training every day. Added the source, "As Hrithik starts with his training from mid-October, he will have only a month to meet the requirement.
Knowing Hrithik's involvement and passion for every project he undertakes, it shouldn't be difficult. Tough, but not impossible.

(less)Kareena is magic: Imran Khan
"She is like a light bulb. The second the director says 'action', this light comes up and you can't take your eyes off her.
She is magic," Imran said on the sidelines of an event here. Imran's crackling chemistry with Kareena in the promos of "Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu" is there for all to see.
In fact, he was so much in awe of the 31-year-old stunner that he ended up taking almost 100 pictures of Kareena during the film shoot. Producer Karan Johar has suggested he exhibit the pictures soon.
Even when Imran was asked to choose the most stylish actress of B-Town, he was quick to respond, and said: "I think my vote goes to Kareena." Produced by Karan Johar, "Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu" is directed by Shakun Batra and will release around Valentine's Day next year
(less)Revealed: Why Karan Johar changed his film title
Apparently, Karan Johar who is extremely close to the film's leading lady Kareena Kapoor did not want any controversies surrounding the film and the actress' imminent wedding that is rumoured to take place around the same time as the film's valentine's day release. Karan Johar, claims an industry insider, felt that it might appear socially incorrect to have a film named Short Term Shaadi release around the lead actress' real life wedding.
And thus, though the film is about a one-night long marriage with the title Short Term Shaadi being an apt one, it was changed to Ek Main Aur Ek Tu. It would have been embarrassing for Kareena to have a film titled Short Term Shaadi during her wedding.
KJo realised that the media might just play it up in a wrong way. Though the film title had been changed for all the right reasons, Mumbai Mirror learnt that Kareena was not even consulted for the same.
The actress is reportedly planning a February engagement with her beau Saif Ali Khan and a March wedding after the release of Saif's home production Agent Vinod. Though Karan Johar remained unavailable, Shakun Batra, the director of the film said, "Ek Main Aur Ek Tu is a story where characters are more important than the plot.
Short Term Shaadi made it seem like a film about the 'one night stand'. I think Ek Main Aur Ek Tu sets the right tone for the film.
" The woman who probably is the reason behind the title change, Kareena Kapoor called the entire thing 'bizzarre' and denied having anything to do with the renaming

(less)Ek Main Aur... inspired by Woody Allen films: Karan Johar
"This is something new that Shakun is attempting here. He is a big fan of Woody Allen and brings with him a different grammar of filmmaking.
"As a result of that, you would see a lot more conversation happening here. You would notice that in many a Hollywood romcom, there are these walk-talk sequences where it is just you and the camera in motion.
You would see something similar in Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu ," Johar said. The 39-year-old, who is known for his romantic films Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kal Ho Naa Ho, My Name Is Khan and Wake Up Sid , also said that such films are far more difficult to do than conventional cinema.
"It is far tougher to find connectivity with an audience since there are no buffers like dramatic pauses, background score, props to enhance a scene. It is just the actors doing their talk and the trick is to hold a viewer's attention right through their conversation," he said.
Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu is also making headlines for its unusual pairing but Johar says that it was a conscious call to get Kareena and Imran together for the first time on the big screen. "We wanted people who are actually poles apart.
Shakun is very close to Imran in real life as well and as friends, they wanted the characters to shape up in a particular way." "For our production house though it is not very unusual.
Weren't Ranbir Kapoor and Konkona Sen sharma paired in Wake Up Sid ? Once in a while it is interesting to see unconventional pairing on screen," Johar added. Talking about Imran and Kareena's character in the film Johar said, "They could get their real life personality onto the film.
Imran is meant to be this very perfectionist young man. So while he is a very stuffy kind of a character, he is also very focused and doesn't let himself go.
On the other hand Kareena plays this woman is who like a modern version of Geet from Jab We Met ." The film, about two different people who marry each other after a drunken night in Las Vegas, is set to hit the theatres on Feburary 10.
