"I had a blast at NYU. Everyone was so enthusiastic, they put on a very polished, confident show, and the surprise flash mob at the end was perfectly executed.
My best wishes to all the students involved," Imran said in a statement. The students had been practising for the performance for over two weeks, ahead of Imran's visit to New York as part of the promotional tour.
"As the president of NYU Dillagi, a Bollywood dance team, I knew we had to have simpler steps that the general public would be able to do and we sent videos out to the public. I thought that the flash mob came out even better than expected since people kept joining the mob throughout the sequence and it definitely surprised those that did not know of it ahead of time," Mohit Chhatpar, coordinator of the flash mob, said.
"It was really fun to be doing a flash mob and having Imran among us was all the more fun. He was very sporting and interacted with the students.
We are excited about this movie as well and are glad he could come and be among us to talk about his movie," he added. The Dharma Productions' film, also starring Kareena Kapoor, is set to hit theatres Feb 10.

"It's been 20 years for that film. So, obviously now I will have to upgrade this story.
It will be the same realistic love story but with a modern theme," Suri told IANS. Aashiqui won critical accolades after its release at the time.

Though still playing in narrow release, the film has found enthusiastic audiences and has been a critical darling since premiering at last May's Cannes Film Festival, positioning it as the first silent movie with serious awards prospects since the first years of the Oscars in the late 1920s. In an age of elaborate computer effects and digital 3-D projection, The Artist is such a throwback to early cinema that it comes off as something entirely fresh.
"It's very relaxing for people to actually go to this movie," said Dujardin, nominated for best actor in a musical or comedy for his role as a silent-era star whose career implodes when talkies take over. "It's a new visual and emotional experience for people.

Along with Clooney, Pitt and Williams, other established stars nominated for Globes include Meryl Streep in the Margaret Thatcher tale The Iron Lady, Leonardo DiCaprio in the J. Edgar Hoover saga J.

Adapted from Kathryn Stockett's best-seller about black maids speaking out about their white employers during the civil rights movement, the hit drama has been a career-maker for many of its collaborators, including first-time director Tate Taylor, a childhood friend of Stockett, and producer Brunson Green.
"It's a testament to pulling yourself up by your bootstraps and not taking no for an answer," said Spencer, a longtime friend of Tate who had been toiling in small parts before The Help. ''Kathryn was an underdog, and Tate and I and Brunson.

While Hollywood will be in party mode right through the Feb. 26 Oscars, not every nominee will join the fun.
Midnight in Paris director Allen, a notorious no-show at awards ceremonies, said he does not believe in competition among films. "Who's to say Steven Spielberg's film is better than Martin Scorsese's or better than Francis Coppola's? These guys are all wonderful filmmakers, and everybody does his best," Allen said.
"Who's to say what's best? You can say that's your favorite, and that's fine. .

The latest news from the sets is that Lara Dutta and fiance Mahesh Bhupathi have confessed to Karan that they plan to tie the knot in February next year. Says our source, “Lara and Mahesh appeared on the show on Wednesday night.
When the Koffee With Karan host quizzed them about their relationship and romance, they spoke openly and even discussed marriage plans. When Karan asked them outright about the marriage date, they promptly replied that it would be in February 2011 and that their families were in the process of fixing the date.
Lara even told KJo how the tennis ace proposed to her in New York on Sept 12 this year.” The couple even replied to queries regarding past relationships.
Bhupathi was claimed to be the reason behind the actress dumping Dino Morea while some reports even said Lara was responsible for the divorce of Mahesh and model Shwetha Jaishankar. “They spoke candidly about their respective exes and cleared the air on how those relationships were over before theirs started,” reveals our source.

Murray, 58, is facing manslaughter charges in the singer's sudden death. Prosecutors claim that Murray, who has pleaded not guilty, gave Jackson a lethal dose.
The televised trial is due in Los Angeles next week. "Conrad Murray's team can't understand how Propofol got into the stomach.

If convicted, Murray faces up to four years in jail. Jackson's family is reportedly outraged over the claims.

(less)Toxicologist confirms Propofol was found in MJ's body
The court was also shown a police photograph of ornate dinner plates featuring babies' faces - believed to be those of the star's three children - displayed on a chest of drawers alongside family pictures. Also shown to the court was the official toxicology report of tests carried out on Michael's body after his death from acute Propofol intoxication in June 2009.
The document showed the star had six legal substances in his system, Propofol (Diprivan), Lidocaine, Diazepam (Valium), Lorazepam (Ativan), Midazolam (Versed), and Ephedrine. Giving evidence to the court, toxicologist Dan Anderson said that, out of all the substances found, the "Billie Jean" star had the least amount of Propofol in his stomach.
Anderson said he found only trace amounts of the drug - the equivalent of a few specks of sugar. Murray denies administering the fatal dose of Propofol which killed his famous patient.
If convicted, he faces up to four years in prison. The case continues.

Most observers have assumed that Murray, whose account of Jackson's death was given in a two-hour interview with police, would not testify as it could only harm his case. That point of view was bolstered on Monday when prosecutor David Walgren staged a forensic cross-examination picking apart the testimony of the defence's star witness, Doctor Paul White, which he could repeat on Murray in the dock.
But others argued that given how many holes prosecutors have picked in his defence case, the doctor -- who has sat in grim silence for the last five weeks -- could decide to appeal directly to the jury. The TMZ celebrity news website had reported that Murray's defence lawyers, Ed Chernoff and Michael Flanagan, were split over whether he should take the stand.

The latest news from the sets is that Lara Dutta and fiance Mahesh Bhupathi have confessed to Karan that they plan to tie the knot in February next year. Says our source, “Lara and Mahesh appeared on the show on Wednesday night.
When the Koffee With Karan host quizzed them about their relationship and romance, they spoke openly and even discussed marriage plans. When Karan asked them outright about the marriage date, they promptly replied that it would be in February 2011 and that their families were in the process of fixing the date.
Lara even told KJo how the tennis ace proposed to her in New York on Sept 12 this year.” The couple even replied to queries regarding past relationships.
Bhupathi was claimed to be the reason behind the actress dumping Dino Morea while some reports even said Lara was responsible for the divorce of Mahesh and model Shwetha Jaishankar. “They spoke candidly about their respective exes and cleared the air on how those relationships were over before theirs started,” reveals our source.
