Sonam Kapoor never disaapoints her fan-following
Anil Kapoor's daughter obliged them by stopping her car and signing her name on a piece of paper for them. Meanwhile Preity Zinta was seen at an event after a long time.
We are not sure what her excuse is for wearing shimmery pants. Nope, she didn't come in straight from shooting a song for one of her films.

Azim looks up to Salman, SRK and Aamir Khan
To make his character in "Qasam Se Qasam Se" appear realistic, Azim frequented call centre offices to absorb the finer nuances of the people working there. "It was quite a relevation for me as an actor.
I witnessed not only people's mannerisms but also the activities they indulge in during the break hour. Looking into the mirror, some guys would be busy ruffling their hair and taking care of their looks, while some would busy binging.
And there would others catching up with family and friends over their cell phones. This has helped shaped my character in the film.
" Azim feels that all our veteran actors were keen observers and would translate that on screen. "Whether it were the legendary actors like Dilip Kumar or the late Raj Kapoor or Dev Anand , they were schools in themselves.
I am a great fan of Salman Khan , Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan and look at them as a student who looks upon his guru. I am mastering the art of acting watching their films," he smiles

My absolute must haves are browns, bronze and red shades of make-up, as they give my skin tone a very nice shine and suit me very well. I always carry these colors in my bag because I never know when I might show up at an event and feel completely under-dressed.
Also, any of these shades really adds that extra glow."

(less)I never thought I'd be a desirable woman: Sameera Reddy
"My name in the list means a lot to me. As as a young girl, I never thought even in my wildest dreams that I would become a desirable woman.
I yearned for a perfect body as I was ugly duckling in school. But now that I have entered films, I believe that beauty is hidden in the imperfections of people and it all depends on how you use them.
That's my definition of desirable and I am glad to have made it to the list," says Sameera. The actor is basking in the success of her last Tamil release opposite Madhavan and has Padma Shri Priyadarshan's Tezz to look forward to.
Sameera has now decided that she will do a mix of performance-oriented and glamorous characters on screen, something that Simran and Jyothika did in Kollywood. So is the report true that Sameera wants to become the next Simran and Jyothika? "You cannot become another person.
I had said that I look up to both Simran and Jyothika, who had a mixed bag of roles- performance-oriented and cute characters. Both had their own fan following .
They are my role models and I want to have a beautiful lineup of characters like them," says the actor
(less)Sherlyn Chopra likes being unconventional
Be it politics, cinema, sports, business or any other arena, women across the globe including India are in great form mentally, physically and consciously to undertake greater responsibilities and tougher challenges that are often encountered on paths less travelled." Sherlyn is also happy that she has gone from being just a pin-up girl to an entrepreneur.
Says she, "The rapid metamorphosis in my case would not have been possible had the mindsets of the majority of the people in the Hindi film industry continued to be goverened by prejudices. I look upto entrepreneurs who command respect and attention for daring to think out of the box and act accordingly.
They do not have a herd mentality. What they have is unadulterated creativity which is set on fire by courage.
" Naming films like " The Dirty Picture ", " Erin Brokovich ", " No One Killed Jessica "," The Black Swan " as cinema that has changed the way we think, Sherlyn says, "Unconventionality is no longer a taboo. It is being applauded and celebrated by both the classes and the masses.
The pulse of the youth is racing towards liberalisation. And I'm truly loving it.
" Asked why she decided to give us photographs that resembled those of the " Jism 2 " campaign, the actor quips, "I have pushed the envelope by choosing to cover my nakedness with nothing but pure consciousness."

Kangana Ranaut who left mouths wide open at her movie Fashion’s first look held at Cinemax. She was wearing something small in shining yellow and guess what she claims she has designed that dress herself.
Hold on… if you think this is the end then please wait, there’s more to come) She was also flaunting some red color false flowers and feathers on her made-up hair. Also a yellow color strap on her neck which resembled a dog collar.
If that wasn”t enough she also carried herself on shinning red heels and a matching red color bag. Thankfully Priyanka Chopra and Mugdha Godse too were present and were looking extremely stunning and beautiful.

(less)Flash mob greets Imran at New York University
"I had a blast at NYU. Everyone was so enthusiastic, they put on a very polished, confident show, and the surprise flash mob at the end was perfectly executed.
My best wishes to all the students involved," Imran said in a statement. The students had been practising for the performance for over two weeks, ahead of Imran's visit to New York as part of the promotional tour.
"As the president of NYU Dillagi, a Bollywood dance team, I knew we had to have simpler steps that the general public would be able to do and we sent videos out to the public. I thought that the flash mob came out even better than expected since people kept joining the mob throughout the sequence and it definitely surprised those that did not know of it ahead of time," Mohit Chhatpar, coordinator of the flash mob, said.
"It was really fun to be doing a flash mob and having Imran among us was all the more fun. He was very sporting and interacted with the students.
We are excited about this movie as well and are glad he could come and be among us to talk about his movie," he added. The Dharma Productions' film, also starring Kareena Kapoor, is set to hit theatres Feb 10.

"It's been 20 years for that film. So, obviously now I will have to upgrade this story.
It will be the same realistic love story but with a modern theme," Suri told IANS. Aashiqui won critical accolades after its release at the time.
It also catapulted the careers of lead actors Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal, who forayed into Bollywood with this film. Suri is also set to hunt for new faces for the sequel.
"I will cast fresh faces with a new boy and a new girl," said Mohit. While some are referring to Aashiqui 2 as a sequel, others are calling it a remake.
However, producer Mukesh Bhatt of Vishesh Films sets the record straight. "It is neither a sequel nor a remake.
It can be said as the musical series of Aashiqui ..

Apparently the southpaw also asked his friends at the show to get him into a different lounge. Yuvi's behavior didn't go down too well with Kim, we hear.
The actress remained unavailable for comments. Meanwhile, Yuvraj took to the social networking site Twitter to set the records straight, claiming that the reports about him running away were false.
He said that he didn't run away but watched the fashion show and then returned home. "Incorrect news! Did not run away, did not run out of the lounge! Saw the show and happily came back home!" tweeted Yuvraj.

(less)Lady Gaga leaves desi monsters wonderstruck
All of 25, the Poker Face superstar landed here Thursday night and addressed a press conference and met some of her fans Friday afternoon. She shot for a chat show with Indian cinestar Shah Rukh Khan and rehearsed long and hard for what was her maiden stage show in India Sunday night.
The singer is lovingly called 'Mother Monster' and she refers to her fans as 'monsters'. The singer had planned a special treat, and fans were treated to just that--Gaga played the piano herself, and even sang to the strains of a sitar to offer her desi monsters some Indian element.
Known for her bizarre sense of dressing, she chose to go mellow with a creation by designer Tarun Tahiliani for her performance here. She wore a white, knee-length dress and flaunted her open, blonde locks.
She ended her performance with a warm and cheerful "Namaste India". Around 1,000 guests, including high-profile celebrities from the film, fashion, F1, sports and business worlds, gathered to witness Gaga perform live at the F1 finale after-party here.
And so what if ticket were priced at a whopping Rs.40,000! The line-up of guests at the Arjun Rampal-hosted party at the Jaypee Greens Golf and Spa Resort in Greater Noida, saw Shah Rukh Khan, Bipasha Basu, Deepika Padukone, Preity Zinta, Imran Khan, Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Riya Sen, Raima Sen, Rahul Bose, Sanjay Kapoor, Gauhar Khan, Nigaar Z.
Khan, Susanne Roshan, Gauri Khan, Mehr Jessia Rampal, Jackky Bhagnani, Jas Arora and Rannvijay Singh, among others. F1 racers Felipe Massa, Kamui Kobayashi, Vitantonio Liuzzi and Daniel Ricciardo attended the party as well, apart from a few designers like Manoviraj Khosla, Manish Arora, Tarun Tahiliani, Rohit Gandhi-Rahul Khanna, Kavita Bhartiya, and cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Ashish Nehra.
She bonded well, and met some guests personally too. But she went a step ahead to do something special for Shah Rukh, who wanted to work with her on a song for his film RA.
One . Gaga gave away her personal shades to Shah Rukh for his 11-year-old daughter Suhana.
Of his experience of chatting with Gaga, Shah Rukh told reporters: "It (the interaction) was very nice. She (Gaga) was very sweet.
I sat with her for a couple of hours and exchanged a lot of good things about life. She is very deep, very sweet.
" The singer has taken home a unique dress by designer Nida Mahmood. The outfit, a short dress, is made with 1,000 LED lights.
Describing it, Mahmood told IANS: "The dress which I made for her was part of my WIFW SS-12 collection titled The Great Indian Bohemian Tamasha. The dress is little above the knees and is embellished with over 1,000 LED lights.
"The digital print has been carefully designed incorporating the essence of Indian street theatre. The colours are very Indian - a mix of orange, red, green and blue.
I call it 'Jadugaar dress for magical Gaga.'" Tweet
(less)'I want to wear a bikini, but...' : Sonam Kapoor
All the three heroines of Sajid Khan's Housefull - Deepika Padukone, Lara Dutta and Jiah Khan had men drooling over them as they were seen prancing around in a two piece on the beach comfortably. Anushka Sharma too has joined the bikini club and she will be seen wearing it in Yashraj Film's (YRF) Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl.
YRF had got Esha Deol and Bipasha Basu to wear a two piece swimwear for Dhoom and Dhoom 2 respectively. Shazahn Padamsee, who joined the Housefull 2 team some time back, is very much keen on donning a bikini, but sadly for her, the film may not require any of its female leads to wear an itsy-bitsy outfit since the film's sequel doesn't demand so.
But, the perky actress is hoping that Sajid Khan brings in a twist in the tale and she gets the opportunity to wear a bikini. "I am full on.
.I am dieting, I am working out, I am fit.
.bikini dena hai de do," she said recently.
And now it is Sonam Kapoor who would like to shed the girl-next-door image and wear a bikini. Sonam says, she has absolutely no inhibitions in wearing one.
"I have worn angrakhas, salwar-kameez, bandana, jeans, skirts, gunjee - whatever it takes. If the character I play is on the beach - the correct gear would have to be a bikini.
And then I wear it in real life, too," she squeals away naughtily. But the only problem is her figure, she says.
"I want to wear a bikini but currently my figure doesn't permit me to do so," adds Sonam who will be seen in a glamorous avatar in soon to be released Players. Few years back Priyanka Chopra or Piggy Chops flaunted her body in Dostana in a gold colour bikini.
Then Kareena Kapoor set the temperature soaring in a hot bikini scene in Yash Raj's Tashan where she flaunted her size zero hot bod in Chalia..

Lara worked really hard for a perfect bikini body in underwater adventure movie Blue. Kangana Ranaut was easily convinced by director David Dhawan to wear one in the recently released Rascals.
Mallika Sherawat wore a bikini in Bachke Rehna Re Baba. A very bold and confident Mugdha Godse looked extremely hot and comfortable in a bikini scene in her debut film Fashion.
Voluptuous Ameesha Patel shed off a few kilos to seduce Saif Ali Khan in Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic's Lazy Lamhe song. Her underwater sensuous moves in bikini was the only highlight of the flop film.

(less)Celebrity managers behind successful star careers
And that's where celebrity managers have become a force to reckon with. Perhaps, this has a huge hand to play in Farhan Akhtar signing half-a-dozen ads in the last four-five months.
Today, top celebrity managers are handling careers of at least half a dozen leading stars. Ace lensman Atul Kasbekar, whose agency Bling! handles the work of a bevy of celebs including Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor and Farhan, says that it's a lot more complicated being a star today.
Attributing it to "too much going on in the day-to-day life of the celebrity," he points out, "There's been considerable evolution in terms of the level of interest in the viewer's minds." He adds, "The managing agency today has a battery of people to look into diverse aspects of the star client.
" In the same vein, Anirban Das Blah, MD Kwan Entertainment and Marketing Solutions, adds that the competition is becoming very tough for a business manager to handle things single-handedly. "Most of the top stars are competing for the same projects.
So if you need someone to go to a brand to sign a star, you won't go to a business manager for that. It's like moving on from chartered accountants to investment bankers," points out Anirban, whose company also hears out scripts of feature films before their celeb clients sign the dotted line.
Surprisingly, one can't rope in a star by hiking the commission for the celebrity management. As Anirban says, "It's not about the money.
We're investing strategies and efforts in building a celebrity as a brand. In fact, in the last couple of years, Ranbir Kapoor, whose career we manage, has refused over 30 endorsements.
" Conceding that they could have made 10-15 per cent of the R 250 crore plus worth of endorsement deals, Anirban asserts, "Ranbir and we felt that those endorsements weren't right. A chyavanprash or a hair oil brand is not in keeping with what he stands for.
" Asked about situations when the celebrity is keen enough to taking up the assignment, Atul explains that their policy is to let their client take the final call. "There are times when the star wants to return the favour to someone who helped him/her in the first place; I'll advise as frankly and brutally.
But outside, I'll back him 100 per cent," he maintains. When asked about bringing their celeb clients away from the more traditional secretaries and business managers, Anirban says they don't see it as a clout.
"We are trusted advisors. Managing a celeb's career is not just a couple of years' plan, but for a longer term, at least 10 years.
So we need to be careful," he says. On the other hand, Atul disagrees.
He reasons, "You're in a position to make things happen from the brand's side, from the star's side, from the other clients' side and the studio's side." However, Indrajeit Borkakoty, Business Head, Mid-Day Entertainment makes an interesting observation.
He sees the celebrity managers' role as bridging the gap. "Celebrity managers integrate brands and celebrities to strengthen the product by way of association with the celebrity.

(less)Lady Gaga sings with sitar for Indian fans
She was high on energy and the audience was extremely excited about it. The stage was grand and Gaga was in her spirits," said a teenager, who saw Gaga perform at a special 20,000 sq ft construction at the Jaypee Greens Golf and Spa Resort in Greater Noida.
The party was hosted by Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal and restaurateur AD Singh's lounge-bar LAP here Sunday night (October 30, 2011). Gaga had said at a press conference that her performance would have some Indian influence.
And she kept her promise. Dressed in a white, knee-length dress with open, blonde locks, Gaga collaborated with a sitar player to offer some fusion music to the guests.
She also sang some of her popular hits as well as new songs from her latest album Born This Way , according to a party insider. She ended her performance with a warm and cheerful Namaste India , said a source.
Prior to the performance, Arjun told reporters that Gaga had rehearsed for six hours for the show. "We have the best performer in the house for the party! I saw her rehearsals and she has prepared the best.
She has planned a nice single which she has never performed before. It's from her new album and she especially prepared for her fans here.
She will also sing with a sitar player to add some Indian element," Arjun said before the party kicked off. Even actor Chunky Pandey, who caught some bits of the rehearsals, said: "She has planned a fantastic show.

(less)Shammi Kapoor was a ladies man!
His leading ladies share their experiences of being romanced by one of the most charming men of Bollywood. Being a non-conformist came easily to him: Sharmila Tagore "He was my first co-star in Hindi cinema, in Kashmir Ki Kali and therefore special.
But Shammi was special in his own right. And he remained special-vibrant, full of life and so young right till the end.
Shammi Kapoor was something else. He taught me a lot about lip-syncing for song sequences.
I'd say he really enjoyed his illness. He was having the time of his life, till his very last day.
His utterly-devoted wife Neela Devi would smile indulgently, even when Shammi would have a beer. I think it was Yash Chopra who played matchmaker between Shammi and his wife Neela Devi.
Shammi's zest for life was infectious. I remember we had gone recently to Pune to receive lifetime achievement awards together and Shammi was so much in his element.
Though confined to a wheelchair, he insisted on driving himself to the venue. At the venue, he wouldn't let me occupy a seat in the back.
He insisted on watching me give my speech. On another occasion recently, he called me up from the little town in Switzerland , where he had shot the Akele Akele song in An Evening In Paris .
He just remembered the time that we had shot together and called me to reminisce about those days. It's a gesture I won't forget.
It brought back all the memories of shooting with Shammi, for my first Hindi film Kashmir Ki Kali and the cult hit An Evening In Paris. What songs these films had! He was so clued into the music.
His body had its own rhythm. And he followed his own rhythm till his last days.
I remember him hanging out of a helicopter in a dressing-gown singing Deewane Ka Naam To Pucho and jumping into Dal Lake in Kashmir for another song. Only Shammi Kapoor could do such things.
Being a non-conformist came easily to him. He connected so well with the youth of today.
Imran Khan told me he visited Shammi in hospital to get to know more about (filmmaker) Nasir Husain (Imran's grandfather) because Shammi and Nasir were very close from the time of Teesri Manzil. Shammi's zest for life reminded me of Dadamoni (Ashok Kumar).
It's so sad to see such exuberant people go." -Subhash K Jha He was caring, protective and guardian like: Asha Parekh "He was Shammi chacha and his wife was Neela chachi for me.
It was her idea that I call them chacha and chachi. Now, when this shocking news comes, my heart reaches out to Neela chachi.
Shammi hacha..
.what do I say? Memories flood back to my first film Dil Deke Dekho, where I was this gawky nervous tomboy.
Shammi chacha taught me how to perform in the songs and how to lip-sync in the song sequences. We later did Teesri Manzil together.
Our two other films, Jawan Mohabbat and Pagla Kahin Ka, were average successes. When we were shooting for Teesri Manzil, we never thought it would become so popular with time.
We had so much of fun - me, Shammi chacha, producer Nasir Saab (Nasir Husain) and director Vijay Anand. Shammi chacha and I would look into the camera lens to check out all the pretty girls who passed by on location.
In all these years, I've never seen him depressed, except when his first wife Geeta Bali passed away suddenly. I remember the shooting of Teesri Manzil was called off and when we resumed we deliberately chose the sombre song Tumne Mujhe Dekha Hokar Meherbaan.
I don't know about other heroines. With me he was caring, protective and guardian-like.
" -Subhash K Jha He just felt the songs, and moved to its beats: Saira Banu He was a very well behaved and nice person. I feel sorry that we only did two or three films together.
I learnt a lot from him as far as acting is concerned. I can never forget that in our first film together, Shammi requested music director Shankar Jaikishan to incorporate his song Terre Pyaari Pyaari Surat Ko Kisiki Nazar Na Lage.
But since Shankar had composed the song for the film Sasural, it could not be used in Junglee. The very fact that Shammi took so much interest in the way I was presented in my debut film was very touching.
He would sit with the lyricists and music directors to get the feel of the song, before he could lip-sync the song on the set. He never considered himself a dancer.
He just felt the song and moved to its beats. He was impeccable and nobody can emulate him.
Dilip and I were in frequent touch with him, not only through phone but we used to visit him too. He was the best human being.
It is a great loss to our family. -Vickey Lalwani His energy level was much higher than mine: Hema Malini "It was through Shammiji's wife Neela Devi's sister Sheila Devi, that we kept in touch.
I was very close to Sheila Devi. Shammiji and I would often chat about her.
Unfortunately, Sheila Devi is no more. Shammiji had become a spiritual person in his later years.
I really liked that side of him. When I did my first film Andaz with him, I was young and he was a very senior person.
So, there wasn't much rapport between us. I remember the first thing we shot together was the song Dil ussey do jo jaan de de.
Years later, Shammiji and I came together in Meera. He will be sorely missed.
His energy level was much higher than mine. I actually had the privilege of working with all the three Kapoor brothers.
My first film in 1968 Sapnon Ka Saudagar, was with Raj Saab. A year later I did Jahan Pyar Mile with Shashi Kapoor , then Andaz with Shammi.
" -Subhash K Jha He had a terrific sense of humour: Helen As a co-star I shared a wonderful rapport with Shammiji. There was a spontaneous rhythm in him, which he was born with.
And he had a terrific sense of humour. He had a lot of respect for his co-stars.
When we first met he was a star and I was a newcomer. Yet he was so cooperative.
And since dance was my forte it was a joy working together. We went on to do quite a few films together.
A very nice film I did with him was Pagla Kahin Ka. Of course China Town is still popular.
There was also a film called Preetam. And there was also Prince with Vyjyanthimala and me.
Last time I met him was a few month ago. Me and my friends Waheeda Rehman, Nanda, Asha Parekh and Sadhana had gone out for lunch at a hotel.
Probably it was at Hyatt. As we walked in we saw him sitting in the lounge.
It was wonderful to meet him and talk to him. He used to be on dialysis and this was one of the days when he was not in the hospital.
On the days he did not have to go to the hospital he would go out, and often drive the car himself. He was so full of energy.
I remember he was so joyful to see us. One cannot believe that someone who was so ill could love life as much.
May his beautiful soul rest in peace. I am sure he is very happy wherever he is, looking down at us and smiling away.

Abba wanted women to go out and conquer the world and he practised this mantra at home too. On January 15, Bollywood will run for Mijwan.
Stars like Ranbir Kapoor , Preity Zinta , Diya Mirza , Rohit and Ronit Roy and many others will be running for the little girls of Mijwan in Mumbai Marathon! I'm really overwhelmed with all this support being lent to a cause that is so dear to me!" She, however, refuses to take any credit for having brought her father's dreams in Mijwan to reality, and says: "The credit for bringing in a radical change in Mijwan goes to Namrata Goel, who is aviation tycoon Naresh Goel's daughter. I just mentioned it to her once, and that young girl toiled hard to make Mijwan a well-known name through her charitable efforts.
I have a firm belief that youngsters today are geared up for any challenge. Just have faith in their abilities, and see how they create magic in all arenas!" Personal dreams apart, which are the projects on professional front that are keeping her on her toes? "Right now I'm looking forward to my two forthcoming projects - one by Mira Nair and another by Deepa Mehta .
I will start a mainstream Bollywood project in February, but I can't speak about it till it is finalised," says she and signs off
(less)Ashton Kutcher enjoys date with Moore look-alike
Once inside Odessa Bar, Kutcher and the Moore look-alike "sat at the open window, talking, flirting, drinking red wine and smoking one cigarette after another," an onlooker said. The foursome piled into the actor's chauffeur-driven car and continued their party at a private apartment. Moore, 49, filed for divorce from Kutcher in November after the actor allegedly cheated on her with another woman on their sixth wedding anniversary.

(less)Preity Zinta, Kareena Kapoor make up
Preity tweeted: Just saw BODYGUARD! Salman U n Kareena Rock! Its FAB & the action is AMAZING ! All da best This one is full Paisa Vasool :) The gesture obviously comes a surprise, since it was Preity who had once at a Diwali party hosted by Akshay Kumar in 2008, snubbed Kareena publicly. In fact, the rivalry started when an unsuspecting Zinta commented on the 'new lot of actresses' in those days - a list that included Kareena.
The rivalry intensified when Preity was chosen for Karan Johar's Kal Ho Na Ho, to play a role that was initially offered to Kareena. A war of words followed between the actresses.
In fact, on Karan Johar's chat show, Kareena made it clear that she was not too fond of Preity. Preity on the other hand, said that Kareena only acknowledged her in Karan's presence.
Both actresses seem to have moved on from their warring days. On Sunday night, Preity was a part of Salman Khan's exclusive show of Bodyguard at YRF Studios.
On Monday morning, the actress praised both the lead actors Salman and Kareena for their performances in the film. Needless to say, Kareena is rather pleased with this gesture.
When contacted, Kareena said, "I am really flattered with Preity's compliment. She is really sweet and very genuine as a person.
She always speaks her mind so I know whatever she wrote was heartfelt
(less)Abhishek Bachchan's a bowling champion!
They had to change their shoes to start with. "Oh God, I'm going to look crazy in these shoes with this dress," Sonam said to Abhishek, who was also changing sitting next to her.
"Oh, you mean you don't look crazy otherwise?" retorted Abhishek, laughing. After some more good-natured ribbing, AB decided a warm-up session was in order.
He bowled..
. and scored a strike! There was a huge round of applause as AB swaggered around, arms spread out in triumph, and told Sonam and Neil, "You guys should quit now, I think.
" Finally, Sonam decided to go barefoot, as her size of shoes was not to be found, and the teams were announced - Abhishek and Bipasha, and Sonam with Neil. That's when AB discovered Bipasha wasn't playing! We later heard her tell Sonam, "You're not as short-sighted as I am, so go ahead.
" So we guess that's the reason she chose not to play. Either that, or the lady was too much in love with her bubblegum pink stilettos! But she cheered the players from the sidelines.
So poor Abhishek had to play for Bipasha too, but he took to the task seriously. So intent was he on the game that after the eighth round, he removed his jacket, and shooed Neil away so that he could concentrate.
But it paid off - beating his co-stars by a whisker, AB won the 'tournament'! There was a quick press conference post this, amid squealing kids and squabbling parents. In fact, in the middle of all this, one little something was heard telling a guard, "Aap toh bodyguard ho.
Aap dila do autograph. Aapko kaise nahin denge?" Anyway, the questions ranged from who their inspiration is (to which Bipasha said her mother, and Neil said Nutan and Waheeda Rehman !), to whether there were any catfights between Sonam and Bipasha.
AB had to leave midway, but someone asked Sonam, Bipasha and Neil if they were to be a part of a game, which game it would be. "WWF," said Bipasha promptly, "These precision games are not for me, lekin kisi ko maar-vaar ke kuch karna ho toh jeet jaungi!" "Talking competition," said Sonam.
"I can talk to anyone about anything and I can talk a lot!" "Shooting or archery," said Neil, to which Bipasha interrupted with, "Not WWF?" Promptly, Neil said with a wicked look, "Sure. If I'm fighting with you, I'd welcome all the punches and kicks and beatings.
" Soon after this, they all stood up to leave and they were followed till the lift by screaming kids, onlookers and the shutterbugs. As they left, the actors were discussing what time to meet to go to a party! Some energy, wot say?
(less)Akshay Kumar on Preity Zinta's chat show
She announced her chat show just after starting her own home production. The actress is pretty much busy setting up things in her own way.
Interestingly her friends are helping her too in her new venture. Akshay Kumar who is dear friend of Preity decided to be the first one on her new chat show.
The actress was glad to know that Akki managed to be on the show despite his tight schedule. Preity who shot with Akki yesterday enjoyed the shoot.
The duo has worked together in a couple of films like Sangharsh and Jaan-e-mann . Though the film didn't do well, the actors became very good friends.
According to a unit-hand Akki and Preity were like best buddies on the show. Apart from professional life the actress asked him some personal questions too and Akshay was a complete sport on the show.
The uniqueness of this chat show will be Preity's casual attitude which should be loved by her fans. Preity's chat show is not yet titled.
The Show will be aired on UTV's new channel called UTV Stars. Preity's show will be the first program to be aired on the channel
(less)Salman comes to Katrina's rescue
On her recent visit to London, when Katrina had trouble reaching her hotel before the premiere of her film Mere Brother Ki Dulhan , her ex beau-cum-best friend saved her day. Problems started for Katrina after she landed in London from Abu Dhabi, where she had to attend a promotional event first.
The half-hour drive extended to one-and-half hours and Katrina had no idea how far was she from the hotel. A source explained, "The driver of the car organised for her by Yash Raj Films turned out to be a novice who didn't know the roads well enough.
After being driven around for an hour and a half, Katrina got so irritated that she called for a taxi service. And while waiting for the other cab to arrive, she also called Salman to apprise him of her situation.
" The actor was shooting for Kabir Khan's Ek Tha Tiger at that time. Soon after the other taxi arrived, Katrina hauled her luggage and headed straight to a hotel in South Kensington, where Salman was staying, revealed the source.
She requested Salman to organise a car for her with a chauffeur who knew the roads well. It is learnt that when she reached her hotel later, the representatives of YRF were profusely apologetic for the inconvenience caused to her.
"But Katrina had had enough and she was so upset that she didn't want to use any transport being arranged by YRF for her to get to the premiere venue," the source added further. Unfortunately for Katrina, her troubles didn't end there.
It seems the team of Mere Brother Ki Dulhan reached over an hour late for the premiere. And also, the premiere didn't go as well as they expected.
"Maybe it wasn't promoted very well, so naturally the movie's team was surprised that the crowd wasn't as huge as they had anticipated. Since they had reached late, they couldn't spend much time at the venue either because they had to catch a flight to Mumbai," the source informed.
However, by the time Katrina reached the airport, the check-in counters for her return flight had closed. "Obviously, she wasn't too pleased with the way her day was going," the source said, adding that fortunately for her, help came in the form of her co-actor Imran Khan.
"Although he was returning by another airline, Imran helped Katrina secure a reservation on Oman Air, with a stop-over at Muscat," the source added. Tweet

(less)Yuvraj, ex-flame Kim cross paths
At the place where the event was held, there were three lounges, and Kim was resting in one of the lounges, waiting for the Wendell Rodericks show to commence. As luck would have it, Yuvraj too landed at the same lounge where the actress was present and on seeing her, he pulled a face and left the lounge.

(less)Sonam stresses on her age factor
Now does that remind us of a certain past episode where she had allegedly called Aishwarya Rai Bachchan aunty? No harm in flaunting age as long as that doesn't seem like an excuse for underperformance! Even while doing interviews for Players, the actress stressed on how she was the youngest amongst the entire cast. Sonam was heard telling journos, how the rest are way older than she is and how they have seen her grow up.
However we wish the actress could atleast act her age, as for a 26 year old, her naivete as an actress seems shocking. Emma Watson, Abigail Breslin, Dakota Fanning, Mia Wasikowska are all under 25 and yet have stunning screen presence!
(less)Censors ignorant about middle finger meaning | Bollywood News and Gossip
Interestingly, while other lewd gestures, words and even flags of certain countries are being blurred by the censor board, Sonam’s gesture has gone unnoticed by the government body. While a section of people from the industry feel that Sonam, who is a youth icon, should be more careful with what she does with her digits, the rest are wondering what went wrong with the otherwise vigilant censor board officials.
According to a source, the scene with Sonam showing her middle finger was passed in the absence of the CEO of the censor board, Pankaja Thakur. “Pankaja was on leave last week when the Players trailer was submitted.
The regional officer JP Singh passed the scene, apparently without knowing its relevance,” said the source. However, now that Pankaja Thakur is back in town, she is trying to get the filmmakers to blur the finger gesture in all trailers, claimed the source.

(less)The wedding isn't happening soon, says Saif
Ques : There are stories that you are planning a 2012 wedding with Kareena Kapoor..
. Saif : I don't want to talk about my personal life simply because it is distracting, and the incessant talks about it can get quite annoying.
I want to come across as a serious professional and not just someone who is being talked about because of his personal life. Ques : But is the wedding happening soon? Saif : It's not happening soon Whenever it happens, we will announce it.
Ques : Aarakshan deals with a controversial topic. Were you at any point anxious while signing on for the film? Saif : No, not at all! When I read the script, I thought it was a great opportunity for me.
It is fantastic that Prakashji (film's director/producer Jha) has broached an area of political concern. These issues are inherent in India and someone has to speak about them.
Ques : And now, with so many people raising objections to the film, what are your thoughts? Saif : I don't think what is happening is right. Once the Censor Board has passed a film, without any cuts and with a U/A certificate, the least one can do is allow the film to be released.
Yes, the subject of the film and the title itself has kind of invited controversies, but since the Censor Board had no issues, I see no reason why there should be objections raised by others? We must respect their judgement. Ques : For someone like you who comes from an entirely diverse background, was it a challenge to play a Dalit? Saif : There is a certain responsibility that comes with every role.
With Aarakshan , there was a totally different kind of responsibility. Since, I was playing a Dalit and representing a certain community, I had to take special care.
I did a little bit of research. More than my background, I think it is my fair skin and my personality that could have worked against it.
But I play this guy who is academically a success, so with education comes a certain posture so that seemed fine. But generally speaking, I think you and I will never be able to understand what they have gone through, or have to go through.
Dalit children still have to clean toilets even while studying in government schools. We have no idea what's happening in some parts of our country.
Ques : Your film Agent Vinod has also been riddled with controversies..
. going over budget, then there were reports of you not getting along with the director Sriram Raghavan.
..
Saif : Agent Vinod is releasing in December. Yes, there have been all kinds of stories, which is a good thing.
It is good publicity for the film. The movie has been made well within the budget.
I am looking forward to the release of the film. As for me not getting along with Sriram, that's not true either.
Yes, we do discuss things, which is natural. Otherwise, I have implicit trust in him.
Ques : Why did you launch another film, Cocktail, even before the release of Agent Vinod ? Saif : That's because we were getting the dates of the stars at the same time. Cocktail is almost 70 per cent complete and we are looking at a February 2012 release.
Ques : You have been offered many TV shows like Master Chef, India's Got Talent etc. Why have you been turning them down? Saif : Yes, I have been offered television shows.
I wouldn't like to disclose which ones. Something or the other didn't work out.
But I am very much open to doing television. Tweet
(less)Bipasha summons Rana to party!
.Shahid please take note! Bipasha Basu is single and loving it.
Post her brief dalliance with Shahid Kapoor , "good friend" and actor Rana Daggubatti is keeping her preoccupied. So much so, that she insisted he fly down to Mumbai to escort her to the Bombay Times anniversary party on Saturday night.
Ever the gentleman, Rana happily obliged! Says a source, "Bipasha didn't want to come without an escort, as she knew that her former flames Shahid and John Abraham would also be there..

She and Rana became friendly after working together in Dum Maro Dum and have grown close since." When BT invited Rana to the party last week, he had regretted saying he was going to be in Hyderabad shooting for a Telugu film.

Bips, however, denies asking Rana to attend the party with her, saying, "Why would I ask Rana to do that?" Why indeed!
(less)Bipasha Basu wins 'Bikini' race!
Her bikini look is being much talked about, but how is it that she's the only lucky one to wear a two-piece, and Sonam Kapoor got away scott-free? "We were made to have a race. Whoever won the race, would get to wear a bikini," she said, "I won, simple!" The logic behind this was that the winner of the race is the fittest of the group.
On a more serious note, Bipasha feels flattered that she has a hot body. "I haven't felt fitter in my life," she says, "But I've worked so hard for it, you have no idea! I had to be beach-fit.
So it was doing away with the food I love and a rigorous workout. I was just happy when it all got over.
I workout still, but I pig out, too," she said. 'Players' also stars Abhishek Bachchan , Bobby Deol and Neil Nitin Mukesh

(less)'Kareena Kapoor to get Rs 8 crore for Heroine'
Recompensed a bit too extravagantly if one may say so. The actress who had reportedly demanded Rs 10 crore for the project has now settled for Rs 8 crore, the highest sum paid to a leading lady in Bollywood ever.
A source close to the project revealed, "After Aishwarya left the film midway due to her pregnancy, Madhur was left with very few options. At one point in time, the filmmakers had even decided to shelve the project.
However, UTV was very keen to work it out with another heroine. And since work had started on the same, they decided to rope in another heroine for the film.
They had very few options to choose from. Vidya, Priyanka and Kareena were the only options.
While Priyanka did not want to do the film since it was very similar to Fashion, Vidya was already busy shooting for Ekta Kapoor's Dirty Picture." "Madhur was forced to go back to their original choice Kareena Kapoor.
This time around, Kareena decided to do the film. Then began the task of getting her dates.
Her diary already choc-a-bloc with dates given out for Bodyguard, Agent Vinod and Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Part 2, making time for Madhur's project seemed tough. Bodyguard is gearing up for Eid release.
Portions of Agent Vinod remains to be shot and she had already committed to Once Upon A Time..
. However, Kareena juggled her dates and made herself available for Heroine.
UTV wanted to thank her for her efforts and pay her well for it. The deal has now been signed for Rs 8 crore.
Though reports suggested that she had asked for Rs 10 crore, the final figure is now Rs 8 crore," added the source. "This is the biggest amount any actress in the industry has received so far.
While the leading actors always get a lot ore money than the heroines, Kareena seems to have broken that barrier," concluded the source. While Siddharth Roy Kapoor of UTV Motion Pictures chose not to reply to our text messaged, Kareena and her spokesperson refused to comment on the same.
Highest paid till date..
. Kareena seems to have taken over from Ash in ways more than one.
She has not only replaced Mrs Rai Bachchan as the heroine in Madhur's film, but also as the highest paid actress of B-town. Ash who was reportedly, paid a whopping Rs 6.
5 crore for Rajinikanth's Robot was till date the highest paid actress. Before Ash, it was Priyanka Chopra who made the headlines by signing Harry Baweja's Love Story 2050 opposite Harman for Rs 1.
5 crore. The first time an actress' remuneration made headlines was when Deepak Chopra signed Preity Zinta for his film Yeh Raaste Hai Pyaar Ke for Rs 91 lakh ten years back.
Interestingly, this was after Kareena had opted out of the film at the last minute

(less)When Yuvraj Singh bumped into Kim Sharma...
At a recently concluded fashion event, Yuvraj came face-to-face with Kim. "There are three lounges at the venue and Kim was sitting in one of them while she waited for the Wendell Rodericks show.
That's when Yuvraj walked into the lounge. As soon as he saw her, he made a strange face and literally ran out of the lounge shaking his head," said an eyewitness.
"Outside, he asked the helpers to take him to another lounge. Evidently, he was not comfortable sitting in the same lounge as Kim," added the witness.
In the meantime, Kim, taken aback with all that was happening around her, asked the people around her about what was going on. "Later on in the day while talking to some journalists she sounded pretty annoyed at Yuvraj's behaviour.
She stated that now she is a married woman and Yuvraj had no business behaving like that," added the source. Kim remained unavailable for comment.
However, when we spoke to a person close to the actress, he said, "She is happily married and would not like her husband to read about something that could hamper her marriage in any way. Neither Kim nor Yuvraj knew that they would bump into each other at the fashion week.
She maintained her dignity."
(less)Delhi Metro's a new movie promotional venue
But when they come to Delhi, they all seem to be heading straight to the capital's favourite hotspot - the Delhi Metro. Ever since Shah Rukh Khan boarded the Airport Express line in October this year to promote "Ra.
One", the new line has become the cynosure of most Bollywood promotions in the capital. Just yesterday, actor Abhishek Bachchan, along with co-stars Sonam Kapoor and Neil Nitin Mukesh headed to the Airport line to promote his movie "Players" in Delhi, and also attempted to break a safe while travelling from one station of the Airport line to another.
The reason for this interest in the Delhi Metro as a venue for movie promotions is the high passenger volumes that these stars get at the venues, along with the promise of additional security. A Reliance spokesperson also adds that the infrastructure of the new line is a big draw for the stars and their teams.
He says, "During "Ra.One" promotions, SRK travelled from Aerocity to Shivaji Stadium station, and from there he went to T3.
During "Don 2", the team including SRK, Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, came to our New Delhi station, while the team of the movie "Lanka" including actors Manoj Bajpayee and Tia Bajpai, and the director Maqbool Khan, came to Shivaji Stadium. We offer them additional support and security during their event, and promote it as our own.
All this has helped spread the word across in Bollywood. We're getting many queries for promotions at our stations, and we may be holding two such events in January.
" Besides promotions, even movie crews are expressing interest in the new line. This year, the Emraan Hashmi- starrer "Jannat 2" became the first Bollywood movie to be shot in the Airport Express line, and in the first quarter of 2012, the Mallika Sherawat-starrer "KLPD" will also be shot here.
But while the Airport Express line is open to the idea of welcoming movie crews, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) doesn't encourage many movie shootings due to the high passenger volumes that they cater to. A DMRC official tells us, "Passenger convenience is our top priority, and that's why we are so stringent in giving permissions for movie shootings.
As far as movie promotions go, those are almost impossible for us to cater to. When Emraan Hashmi came to promote "The Dirty Picture" at the Rajiv Chowk station a few months ago, he came as a normal passenger.
We can never stop a celebrity from walking in as a passenger. But when a crowd suddenly gathered, he had to leave the place immediately.
However, no one had taken any permission from us." Promotions 1.
