Let us enjoy our lives: Shahid Kapoor
In the past, several actors' parties have been interrupted for the same reason. Shahid feels it's not right to keep celebrities under special scanner all the time.
"Parties are for enjoyment. I don't think that's something which gets represented correctly.
Especially if it is an actor's party and the music is loud, people tend to be a bit stricter, which is something I have never understood. We are all young people and why shouldn't we enjoy our lives," the 30-year-old said here at an event.
Shahid also believes if he can't have a guilt-free fun time, it's a hindrance to his freedom. "There has to be a system where people can enjoy themselves without feeling guilty.
Why should I feel guilty if I have worked hard all day long and then want to dance as much as I want? If I can't do it, then I feel it takes away from my freedom," he said. The actor has recently wrapped up shooting for Kunal Kohli's tentatively titled 'Teri Maeri Kahaani'.
He also recently performed at the Zee Cine Awards in Macau, where he shook a leg with Ranbir Kapoor

Saif files counter complaint, police say no clean chit yet to anyone
Yesterday, at around 7:50 pm, Saif was arrested by the police at his lawyer's office based on the complaint filed by Iqbal Sharma. The actor arrived at the Colaba police station at 8 pm.
Girlfriend and co-star Kareena Kapoor accompanied him. Around 90 minutes later, he left after having paid Rs.

At this point, Mr Sharma says, Saif struck. But the actor says that's not the case.
He claims he was hit first and so he acted in self defence. He adds that Mr Sharma was rude to the women at his table and that when he intervened, Mr Sharma threw the first punch.
"I acted in self-defence. I was hit.

I've got hit on the eye," he said in a press conference on Wednesday evening. Earlier, in a press statement released just after he got bail, Saif said, "I don't think any gentleman would have behaved differently.
The CCTV footage in the restaurant will prove everything." In his complaint, the actor has also alleged that his eye got swollen after he was punched and that Bilal Amrohi and Shakeel Ladak too have got bruises on their chest.
Police say they will study Saif's application and then decide if it's a cognizable offence. So far, they insist, they haven't given a clean chit to either the actor or Mr Sharma.
"We are studying the restaurant's CCTV footage. The security cameras at the staircase of the restaurant where the incident occurred did not capture the fight," a senior police official said, adding that statements of actresses Kareena Kapoor and Amrita Arora will now be recorded.

(less)Saif Ali Khan surrenders, charged with assault, granted bail
According to reports, he was questioned, charged with assault and then granted bail. Earlier, the actor got into a scuffle in a five star hotel restaurant last night and apparently punched a man in his face and broke his nose.
A case under section 325 of the IPC had been registered against Saif. The incident took place last night at Wasabi restaurant, Taj Hotel when he, along with Kareena, Malaika Arora Khan, Amrita Arora Ladak and a few friends, were having dinner.
Iqbal M Sharma, a temporary resident of Juhu, was sitting with his family at an adjoining table. According to reports, Iqbal complained about the clamour that Saif and his friends made.
This ticked off Saif and a scuffle broke between the two. Saif, reportedly, told Iqbal to go to a library to find quiet.
Some reports suggested that the fight actually broke between Amrita Arora Ladak's husband Shakeel Ladak and Iqbal. But it was only when Saif intervened that he got into a brawl with Iqbal.
Post the scuffle, Iqbal lodged a complaint that Saif and two of his associates assaulted him with fist blows, causing fracture to his nose. A case has been registered against the actor with the Colaba police station.
According to Times Now, Iqbal M Sharma is the deputy director of department of trade & investment, South Africa. He is a South African national of Indian origin.
Iqbal told Times Now that Saif and his friends abused him and his father-in-law verbally and assaulted them physically. Hawaldar Welkar of the Colaba Police station in Mumbai confirmed the news and told us, "Yes, a case was registered against Saif Ali Khan by Iqbal Sharma , last night for some fight that took place between them in Hotel Taj last night.
Rest of the details are with my boss ACP Iqbal Sheikh." When contacted ACP Iqbal Sheikh said, "We are conducting an inquiry into the matter and we will be questioning every one involved in this case.
If required we will be arresting who ever is at fault." Meanwhile the people at Wasabi refused to comment on the incident.
Pankaj Singh , the floor manager at the Wasabi said, "I wasn't here last night so I don't know about anything that happened at the restaurant nor have I heard anything from anyone here."

I was hit and I defended myself. I have been to the police station to answer the requirements of law as I am a law-abiding citizen.
I have also filed a complaint about what happened last night and I am confident justice will be done. I have seen the interviews given on TV and they look like decent people and I cannot believe that the same people were so aggressive the night before and the lies that they are saying about me with such straight faces.
I think they have the CCTV footage in the restaurant that will prove everything. I hope the media is able to remain impartial while the matter is being decided.

Says a source, "Kumar Taurani has discussed the script with Amrita. However he is yet to get in touch with Shahid.

Tremendous control over the medium has enabled Bollywood to get some big bucks from a talented lot of ad filmmakers who turned directors and vice versa. Now the tables have turned and how! Filmmakers Abhinay Deo, Dibakar Banerjee, Imtiaz Ali, Tarun Mansukhani, Bejoy Nambiar and Rajkumar Hirani are also directing TVCs even as they continue their B-Town stint.
Imtiaz directed Neetu Kapoor and Jimmy Shergill in a bank ad, Tarun Mansukhani directed Kareena Kapoor and Karan Johar in a paint commercial, Dibakar directed Imran Khan in a cola ad, Hirani directed Sharman Joshi in a soft drink ad and Bejoy directed MS Dhoni and his wife Sakshi in a bike ad. Abhinay says, "Filmmaking is about how the fat is thrown out and the meat is presented to the audiences.
We can't afford to splurge in advertising. Ad filmmakers understand nuances like color coordination well.
And most importantly content comes first, technique comes later." Says adman Prahlad Kakar, "While ad filmmakers are more educated than regular Bollywood filmmakers and more professional, when a Bollywood filmmaker directs an ad, their connection with celebs comes to the platter of ad filmmaking.
Actors don't throw starry tantrums with known filmmakers when they do an ad." Abhinay however refutes the claim and says as an ad filmmaker he never tries "to consciously work with celebs.
In that case, the celeb becomes the script and the ad has no further scope." R Balki, a creative director of a leading ad agency feels, "The mindset of a person watching an ad and a film is different.
Otherwise both the mediums involve storytelling and they are not very different. Ad films teach you to communicate a concept and if it is about big bucks then ad filmmaking is also about big bucks.

(less)Saif Ali Khan arrested for assaulting businessman, released on bail
A battery of top police officers were waiting for the actor, besides the media and scores of fans outside the police station. In the afternoon, police sent a team to Saif's house and after failing to locate him there, had ordered him to appear before it as early as possible.
Saif was virtually declared 'wanted' for assaulting South African NRI businessman Iqbal Sharma , who is also the director general and CEO of the Trade, Industry & Investments of South Africa. The actor has been charged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code for allegedly assaulting Sharma in the Taj Mahal Hotel around 1 am on Wednesday morning.
Police said a case of assault had been registered at the Colaba police station. After his release the actor in a statement said, "There was an ugly incident last night where my friends and the ladies with us were abused and I was assaulted.
I was hit and I defended myself. I have been to the police station to answer the requirements of law as I am a law abiding citizen.

Sharma told Times Now television that Saif called him an "idiot" for complaining about the actor's loud conduct at a restaurant in the Taj Mahal Hotel. He said he and his family had requested the restaurant manager to ask Saif and his friends, which included Kareena, Amrita Arora and Malaika Arora Khan, to keep their voices down.
Sharma said he and his family decided to move to another part of the restaurant downstairs. "As we were going down the stairs, Saif was coming up, probably from the toilet.
As he passed me, he called me an idiot and asked 'Do you know who I am?'" Sharma said the actor first pushed him and then assaulted his father-in-law who fell on the stairs and bruised his jaw. "It was an uncivilized way to behave in a public space," Sharma said, adding that he intended to pursue the matter legally.
A police officer confirmed that Sharma and his guests had objected to the noise created by Saif and his friends. The incident occurred shortly after midnight on Tuesday.
Saif has been involved in public spats earlier too, including some photojournalists in Patiala in September 2008. The actor has won the Padma Shri award, which did not go down well with the Bishnoi community in Rajasthan as he is accused of killing a blackbuck -- an animal the Bishnois hold sacred.

What made you cast them together? In Kaminey , Shahid and Priyanka had seven-odd scenes together in the entire film. But every time they came together, there was magic.
I haven't worked with either of them, so this pairing was interesting to me. Shahid and I had heard some not-so-good things about each other, but that changed once we started working together.
Also, this is my first film with Priyanka and we immediately broke the ice. I cast them together knowing that they would do justice to these two characters.
What makes them a hot screen pair? They have amazing chemistry on screen. There's something exciting and natural about this pair.
They are super-dedicated and understand what's expected of them. And let's not forget, they are extremely good-looking.
Was there any awkwardness on the set between them? Shahid and Priyanka are extremely professional. I don't wish to say anything more.
Do you think the audience accepts an on-screen couple that is no longer together? This shouldn't even be an issue. During Fanaa, both Aamir and Kajol were married.
In fact, Aamir got married during the making of the film and that didn't stop the film from becoming one of the biggest hits of the year. So I feel the audience just wants a good film, irrespective of the personal lives of the lead actors

'Friend' is a word I use for people I know will stand by me when things are not going well. There were reports that fans screamed for Ranbir, while you were ignored, in Hong Kong recently.

Ranbir is a chilled out guy so I am sure he would not have said anything about our time together. So I fail to understand where such ridiculous stories about some screaming fans comes from.

We are a chilled out lot and we should all be happy. I am not an insecure person.

In the past, several actors' parties have been interrupted for the same reason. Shahid feels it's not right to keep celebrities under special scanner all the time.
"Parties are for enjoyment. I don't think that's something which gets represented correctly.
Especially if it is an actor's party and the music is loud, people tend to be a bit stricter, which is something I have never understood. We are all young people and why shouldn't we enjoy our lives," the 30-year-old said here at an event.
Shahid also believes if he can't have a guilt-free fun time, it's a hindrance to his freedom. "There has to be a system where people can enjoy themselves without feeling guilty.
Why should I feel guilty if I have worked hard all day long and then want to dance as much as I want? If I can't do it, then I feel it takes away from my freedom," he said. The actor has recently wrapped up shooting for Kunal Kohli's tentatively titled 'Teri Maeri Kahaani'.

A source says, "On an average there were nearly 8,000 to 10,000 people on the sets. On the day we shot at Daulatabad Fort, over 30,000 people bought tickets to visit the place.
On the last day we were shooting at the lake, which was surrounded by hills. Two of those were completely filled with people.
It was madness. Some people tried to get too close to Priyanka and that's when Shahid came forward and took her aside.
" Director/producer Kunal feigned ignorance of Sasha coming to PC's rescue. "I am not sure because I was busy with the directorial team.
They both were pretty cool and took a break every two hours to wave to the people who had come all the way to see them. Shahid even said it would have been depressing if no one had come to see them.
" However Kunal denies that a near-stampede took place, "No, that's not true. There were no untoward incidents.
Fortunately, we had the support of the local police and we had our own security. We definitely had to tighten the security to manage the crowds.

It was a connection she had made three years ago when she came across a picture of a woman on a camel. And since then, coming to India had been on her mind.

13) Talaash (Releasing on 1st June 2012. Verdict: Hit):- The title of this Aamir-Rani -Kareena starrer adds up to Number 18 - which is not a positive octave of Number 9.
There are some films which have the 'luck' attached to it and 'Talaash' may just click simply because of that factor. Aamir (14th March 1965) will be entering his 48th year soon which once again is a great phase for him and that's the film biggest trump card.
Even Rani Mukherji (21st March 1978) and Kareena Kapoor's (21st September 1980) fortunes are riding high and the film will ensure superb collection. Tip: When you have actors with a midas touch, half the battle is won.
14) Rowdy Rathore (Releasing on 15th June 2012. Verdict: Flop):- The title of this UTV and Sanjay Leela Bhansali venture adds up to Number 46 - which is a favorable number.
But actor Akshay Kumar (9th September 1967) running in his 45th year is passing through a topsy-turvy phase in his career. While the film and his role will be appreciated by a few, a certain section of the audience may just dislike it totally.
After a successful debut, Sonakshi Sinha (2nd June 1987) may also receive mixed reviews. Tip: The UTV -Sanjay Leela Bhansali collaboration seems to be jinxed.
15) Teri Meri Kahaani (Releasing on 22nd June 2012. Verdict: Flop):- The title of this Kunal Kohli produced and directed enterprise is adding up to Number 36 - which is a lucky number promising authority, power and command.
But like there is a saying 'Man proposes, God disposes' - the year 2012 (Number 5 - Mercury) does not support anything to do with Number 9 ( Mars ) and hence the film will fail to even take off. The compound number arrived by adding the release date is also Number 5 which will further mar the prospects of this love story.
Even the lead pairs Shahid Kapoor (25th February 1981) and Priyanka Chopra's (18th July 1982) real life on - off romance may not be able to attract people in hordes and salvage the show. Tip: Shahid in his 31st year may not have a memorable 2012 while Priyanka in her 30th year might have to remain happy just with prasises galore for doing good work.
16) Dangerous Ishq (Releasing in June 2012. Verdict: Hit):- The title of this Vikram Bhatt thriller adds up to Number 46 - one of the most powerful octaves of Number 1.
It is also amongst the best numbers for the supremely talented Karisma Kapoor (25th June1974) who's making her comeback after a hiatus with this 3D film. She running in her 38th year will prove extremely lucky for her and it will rub off on the film as well.
Tip: For best results, the film should release on 22nd June 2012. 17) Barfii (Releasing in July 2012.
Verdict: Flop):- The title of this long in the making film is vibrating on Number 15 - which is a very lucky and powerful octave of Number 6 with strong magnetism, but also has a certain voluptuous temperament. Going by the meaning derived from it, the film will appeal only to a class audience and the rest may remain indifferent.
Both Ranbir (28th September 1982) and Priyanka (18th July 1982) in their 30th year will give award worthy performances but the box office rewards would clearly be missing. Tip: The film was originally spelled as 'Barfee'.
The makers should immediately go back to that spelling as it vibrated on a much better Number 23 (Mercury) which is directly supporting the year 2012. 18) Bol Bachchan (Releasing on 6th July 2012.
Verdict: Hit):- The title of this Ajay Devgn-Abhishek Bachchan action comedy is adding up to Number 37 - which is 'good news' as it is a very favorable number. Whil Abhishek (5th February 1976) will bring in the laughs and pull the house down, Ajay (2nd April 1969) will succeed in adding a dose of thrill.
Tip: The trio of Ajay Devgn-Abhishek Bachchan-Rohit Shetty which did not find many takers in their last attempt 'Zameen' will be hitting the 'bulls eye' this time. 18) Ek Tha Tiger (Releasing in August 2012.
Verdict: Super Hit):- The title of this Eid attraction coming from Yashraj Films vibrates on Number 32 - which is a lucky number usually associated with combinations of people and nations. Just that the person should hold to his/her own judgment and opinions, if not, his/her plans are likely to become wrecked by the stubbornness and stupidity of others.
The year 2012 which adds up to Number 5 (Mercury) being directly in sync with the name of the film would make it one of the biggest hits of the year. Salman (27th December 1965) in his 47th year and Katrina (16th July 1984) in her 29th are capable of breaking all box office records.
Tip: As the exact release date hasn't been decided, coming on 3rd or 24th August would be the best option. 19) Joker (Releasing on 30th August 2012.
Verdict: Hit):- The title of this fantasy adventure 3D film adds up to Number 17 which is an extremely fortunate number. Plus the year 2012 (Number 5 - Mercury) is supportive of people, places, names etc.

Verdict: Hit):- The title of this 3D horror film adds up to Number 14 - which is fortunate for dealings with money, speculation and changes in business, but there is always a strong element of risk and danger attached to it, generally owing to the actions and foolhardiness of others. From the meaning derived from it, this one will take you on an enjoyable ride and everyone involved with the project from actors Emraan Hashmi, Sunny Leone, Rahul Bhatt and director Vikram Bhatt will tend to gain from this project.
Tip: Vikram will complete his 'hat-trick' with the success of this film. 21) Heroine (Releasing in September 2012.
Verdict: Hit):- The title of this Madhur Bhandarkar production adds up to Number 30 - which is good, but nothing great. His most ambitious project till date, Madhur is likely to receive both bouquets and flak/ brick bats in this Bollywoodised version of his own 'Fashion'.
Kareena (21st September 1980) in her 33rd year will be loved across the board for putting her heart, sweat and blood in a role which most actresses wait for a lifetime to play on screen. Tip: The movie will turn to be too much of a predictable fare who people who always expect something different Madhur every time.
22) Khiladi 786 (Releasing in November 2012. Verdict: Flop):- The title of this Akshay Kumar - Himesh Reshammiya jointly produced and enacted film is vibrating on Number 38 - which is a very unlucky number.
It denotes uncertainties and treachery. It foreshadows trials, tribulation, unexpected dangers, unreliable friends and deception caused by members of the opposite sex.
It gives grave warning if it comes out in anything concerning future events. Akshay (9th September 1967) who is Number 9 (Mars) person does not gel with a Number 5 (Mercury) at all and fellow partner Himesh (23rd July 1973) is directly ruled by this number.
A perfect recipe for a 'disaster'. As a result, the movie will be a box office dud.
Tip: Their association will soon go kaput and this may be their first and last project together. 23) Race 2 (Releasing on 30th November 2012.
Verdict: Hit):- The vibration of the sequel to the 2008 hit film is summing up to Number 13 - contrary to popular belief, this number is not unfortunate. Just that, it is symbolized as a power which should not be misused or it may wreak destruction upon itself.
In short, the second part will turn out to be a bigger success and all the actors namely Saif Ali Khan (16th August 1970), Anil Kapoor (24th December 1959), John Abraham (17th December 1972), Deepika Padukone (5th January 1986), Jacqueline Fernandez (2nd June 1985) and Ameesha Patel (9th June 1975) will 'race' ahead in their respective careers post the release of this film. Tip: The movie should hit the screens on 23rd November 2012 as that's the best date to extract fantastic results.
24) Son Of Sardar (Releasing on 30th November 2012. Verdict: Flop):- The title of this Ajay Devgn produced venture is adding up to Number 43 - which is an unfortunate number symbolized by the signs of revolution, upheaval, strife, failure and prevention.
The film may draw unnecessary attention due to some controversy or the other during its release, but even that may not impress the audiences to make a beeline outside cinemas. Tip: Even powerhouse performers like Ajay Devgn (2nd April 1969) and Sanjay Dutt's (29th July 1959) antics may fail to draw enough attention.
25) Dabangg 2 (Releasing in December 2012. Verdict: Super Hit):- The title of this sequel to the 2010 blockbuster film vibrates on Number 21 - which is symbolized by the picture of 'the Universe' and it is also called 'the Crown of the Magi'.
It is a number of advancement, honors, elevation in life and general success. This one will break the records of the first part and many other films released during the year 2012.
Every section of the audience will simply lap this film up without giving any second thoughts and it would make this - the highest grossing film of the year. Tip: The best is reserved for the last in 2012.
Releasing the film on the 14th or the 21st of December will be my advice to producer and first time director Arbaaz Khan

The actress shut the door on all reporters and refused to continue with the pre-arranged media event. She even refused to smile and pose for pictures post that, revealed an eyewitness.
Priyanka was shooting for a coffee commercial with her ex-flame Shahid Kapoor at Madh Island. The media was invited for a joint interaction with the actors who have recently been filming for Kunal Kohli's epic love saga Muqtasar .
An eyewitness informed Mumbai Mirror, "Priyanka refused the joint interaction. Even after having worked together with Shahid in Kohli's film, the actress did not want to share space off screen with the actor.
This enraged the reporters." That was however, not all.
The actress stopped interacting with the media altogether after a while. "A few reporters asked Priyanka about her personal life.
They asked her about her relationship with one of her co-stars. This made her extremely edgy.
And she simply walked out," added the witness. "Priyanka stopped giving interviews altogether, leaving a large section of the media very angry.
She did two to three interviews and then said 'Enough. I won't do more'," explained the eyewitness.

A source says, "On an average there were nearly 8,000 to 10,000 people on the sets. On the day we shot at Daulatabad Fort, over 30,000 people bought tickets to visit the place.
On the last day we were shooting at the lake, which was surrounded by hills. Two of those were completely filled with people.
It was madness. Some people tried to get too close to Priyanka and that's when Shahid came forward and took her aside.
" Director/producer Kunal feigned ignorance of Sasha coming to PC's rescue. "I am not sure because I was busy with the directorial team.
They both were pretty cool and took a break every two hours to wave to the people who had come all the way to see them. Shahid even said it would have been depressing if no one had come to see them.
" However Kunal denies that a near-stampede took place, "No, that's not true. There were no untoward incidents.
Fortunately, we had the support of the local police and we had our own security. We definitely had to tighten the security to manage the crowds.

(less)Aurangabad crowd goes berserk over Priyanka & Shahid
Approximately 40,000 curious, eager, aggressive tourists and bystanders showed up to ogle, jostle and heckle at the Aurangabad Fort. The larger nightmare for them was getting to the fort.
The cars carrying Shahid, Priyanka and Kohli's unit had to halt a good two km away from the interior of the fort. There was no choice but to walk the rest of the way.
"We did have some difficulties. But it was all fine.
The walk was tough. We had to go up to the foot of the fort on Tata Sumos and then there was no road, so we had no choice but to walk," said Kohli.
"I've to say Priyanka is a very gutsy girl. We were all concerned about her security specially.
But she was calm. Inside the fort people just bought tickets and kept trooping in.
Yeah, we did have problems keeping them out of camera range and on a couple of occasions there were aggressive fans who tried to muscle in their way to get Shahid and Priyanka's attention. I've to thank the local administration and my team for managing the shoot," he added.
The crowds were apparently uncontrollable and had to be warned off and threatened to back off. "The Aurangabad Fort has at any given time as many as 12,000 visitors.
Kunal Kohli couldn't get permission to restrict the area. So he had to shoot with Priyanka and Shahid with the fort open to the public.
As news spread about the two stars shooting in Aurangabad, crowds swelled inside the fort to unmanageable numbers," said a source. After a point during the shooting of the song, things began to get out of hand.
Onlookers would repeatedly get into camera range, and when they were told to back off, they became unruly and finally unmanageable. But Kohli's troubles at Aurangabad are not over.
Apparently fans and gawkers who had collected at the fort have taken pictures of Shahid and Priyanka shooting the song together and posted the pictures on microblogging sites, thereby giving away the pair's carefully-guarded look. "The song is set in 1910 and we had worked hard on Priyanka and Shahid's look.
But the look is out on Twitter. How do you control fans from clicking pictures? You can't! You just have to bear with it," said Kohli.
"But I really don't think the crowds in Aurangabad were doing anything they shouldn't have. It was perfectly justifiable for them to get excited about two big stars in their small town.
The last star who shot in Aurangabad was Sunil Dutt more than 30 years ago. We tried to keep it a secret.
But that was impossible," he added
