"I really hope 2012 turns out to be a year full of surprises for me, and surprises spring after one another. I am really happy with the kind of response I received for my work in 'Desi Boyz'.

It was really encouraging and I am looking forward to more good work this year," Chitrangada told IANS. A leading Pakistani television channel has started a prime time show titled Main Tum Aur Imran Hashmi. That too without the actor's knowledge.

Featuring popular television actors Noor Ul Hassan, Neelum Munir, Rubina Ashraf and Tipu Shah, the serial is about Chanda, who is infatuated with Emraan Hashmi. She watches, hears and hums Hashmi's hit songs all day.

She even has his picture framed on the wall, much to the chagrin of her prospective suitors. A source told Mumbai Mirror, "Clearly, Emraan's name has been spelt wrong to evade copyright issues.

However, if you watch the show once, you will immediately know that the producers wanted to capitalise on Emraan Hashmi's popularity in the country. Surprisingly, Hashmi's permission wasn't taken on this.

The TV show revolves around a business tycoon in his early 40s and a working woman in her late 30s who are brought together by an arranged marriage.

Though your first movie Aap Kaa Surroor was a hit, the last three films did not do well at the box-office. What are your expectations with Damadamm!? I am very confident that Damadamm! will do very good business and it will get me back in the same race where I was afterAap Kaa Surroor.

Radio was made only for a niche audience, where I got a lot of critical acclaim for my performance but the film could not do well at the box-office. Later, I had to suffer due to the fallout with Bhushan Kumar for Kajraare.

I am quite confident that Damadamm! will give me a mileage as an actor. Even though it's releasing with RA.

One, is huge competition and is obviously going to do well. You recently got the rights of Damadamm! Why is that? There was huge pressure when it came to the release of Kajraare.

It was a good product but could not get its due. I had to be careful as far as the release strategy was concerned.

I have always been a package of class and mass together. How do you deal with criticism? Even the biggest stars receive criticism, so I don't have any problems if someone has an opinion about me.

But otherwise, hundreds of people have been with me that's why I am successful today. People called me nasal but by the grace of god, I gave fifty hits in one year.

The title of Ekta Kapoor's Bade Acche Lagte Hain is picked up from the song in the 1976 movie Balika Badhu , about the arranged marriage of two teenagers, played by Sachin Pilgaonker and Rajni Sharma. The TV show revolves around a business tycoon in his early 40s and a working woman in her late 30s who are brought together by an arranged marriage.
