Azim looks up to Salman, SRK and Aamir Khan
To make his character in "Qasam Se Qasam Se" appear realistic, Azim frequented call centre offices to absorb the finer nuances of the people working there. "It was quite a relevation for me as an actor.
I witnessed not only people's mannerisms but also the activities they indulge in during the break hour. Looking into the mirror, some guys would be busy ruffling their hair and taking care of their looks, while some would busy binging.
And there would others catching up with family and friends over their cell phones. This has helped shaped my character in the film.
" Azim feels that all our veteran actors were keen observers and would translate that on screen. "Whether it were the legendary actors like Dilip Kumar or the late Raj Kapoor or Dev Anand , they were schools in themselves.
I am a great fan of Salman Khan , Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan and look at them as a student who looks upon his guru. I am mastering the art of acting watching their films," he smiles

"My name in the list means a lot to me. As as a young girl, I never thought even in my wildest dreams that I would become a desirable woman.
I yearned for a perfect body as I was ugly duckling in school. But now that I have entered films, I believe that beauty is hidden in the imperfections of people and it all depends on how you use them.
That's my definition of desirable and I am glad to have made it to the list," says Sameera. The actor is basking in the success of her last Tamil release opposite Madhavan and has Padma Shri Priyadarshan's Tezz to look forward to.

Sherlyn is also happy that she has gone from being just a pin-up girl to an entrepreneur.
Says she, "The rapid metamorphosis in my case would not have been possible had the mindsets of the majority of the people in the Hindi film industry continued to be goverened by prejudices. I look upto entrepreneurs who command respect and attention for daring to think out of the box and act accordingly.
They do not have a herd mentality. What they have is unadulterated creativity which is set on fire by courage.
" Naming films like " The Dirty Picture ", " Erin Brokovich ", " No One Killed Jessica "," The Black Swan " as cinema that has changed the way we think, Sherlyn says, "Unconventionality is no longer a taboo. It is being applauded and celebrated by both the classes and the masses.
The pulse of the youth is racing towards liberalisation. And I'm truly loving it.

I had to act like a sweeper: Roshni Chopra
I was brought up in Dubai , and moved to Delhi for further studies. Not being a Delhi girl, I was unfamiliar with the concept of ragging at Delhi University .
Naturally my family was worried. For the first few days of college they forced me to wear a dowdy, horrible salwar kameez so that I don't attract attention.
But, when I stepped into college, it got me noticed all the more. I was made to sweep the angan, as the seniors said I had to behave like a sweeper, as I was dressed like one! Then of course, I was made to sing, and thankfully I can sing well.
In fact this talent also got me the President's post of the Western Music Society in the first year itself, something that doesn't happen. Though the society was one of the weaker ones at DU, by the time I finished three years at the college, we had won every festival! Coincidentally, the first time I met my husband was also at my college.
A theatre company had leased our auditorium, and were conducting auditions. He was playing the lead, I auditioned for the female lead and was selected.
Of course, my fun-filled college days didn't end within three years. After completing my Bachelors degree in English literature, I went to England , that too on a scholarship, at the University of Leeds to pursue a PG in Media and Communications.
This was a different experience. Living on the campus, spending hours researching in the library, which was over 150 years old, and partying on weekends with friends from all over the world!

(less)Rajeevs the face of intelligent cinema
So, I've seen the life of a musician from pretty close quarters and am glad that my first film that happens to be on music. I was signed on for some other projects too, but things didn't work out then! Maybe since my heart and soul was in music it is only apt that my first film is on music.
" Speaking more about his film, Neerav says, "When I started out as a musician, I'll confess the cool quotient of the profession was attractive and the thought of chics adoring you, alluring! But, when on stage amid while performing amid all that loud music of different instruments, a thought always crosses a musician's mind (and it did mine too) 'what if I go deaf?' And it is this fear that gave birth to my film. And playing the lead role is Rajeev Khandelwal .
" Quiz the director on his choice of actor and he says, "He just seemed so perfect for the role. Also, he's the face of intelligent, urban cinema and I knew that he'll do justice to the character I have in mind.
" How did he steer clear of roping in big names for his first film? He says, "I always believe that a film is made in the pre-production stage itself. If the script is strong, the plan well laid out and locations chosen in advance, then the execution of plan, which is filming, is the last part and easiest.
And if this is done well, your film does well too!"

(less)Top 10 Bollywood movies of year 2011
One" and " Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara " not only satiated the moviegoer's appetite but also yielded profits for the Hindi film industry. Here IANS lists the top 10 movies of the year: 1.
"Bodyguard": Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor's "Bodyguard" broke the opening day records by earning Rs.22 crore on the first day.
Although the story of the film, directed by Siddique , didn't have much to say, the music as well as the action sequences worked in its favour. Salman's signature dialogue - "Mujh par ek ehsaan karna ki mujh par koi ehsaan na karna" - once again struck a chord with fans.
2. "Ra.
One": World class VFX, amazing graphics, innovative marketing, tie-ups with multiple brands and Shah Rukh Khan as the superhero made sci-fi thriller "Ra.One" a profitable venture.
Another highlight of the film was its music, especially the song "Chamak challo" sung by international rapper Akon. And the marathon promotion by the superstar helped bring people to the theatres.
3. "The Dirty Picture": Her sensuous look shocked, her itsy-bitsy clothes astonished and her double meaning dialogues left audiences gasping for breath, but all this nothwithstanding, Vidya Balan swept both the classes and the masses off their feet with her bold avatar in Ekta Kapoor's "The Dirty Picture".
An unofficial biopic of southern sex symbol Silk Smitha, the film broke the myth that only movies with "Khans" work at the box office. 4.
"Ready": Romantic comedies have been a staple of Hindi films and this year Salman Khan's "Ready" used the recipe to earn profits. Shot in exotic locales of Thailand , director Anees Bazmee's drama about mistaken identity saw Salman romancing Asin Thottumkal amid all the hotch-potch in their lives, thanks to their onscreen relatives.
5. "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara": Focussing on three bachelors dealing with their friendship and romance, the well-scripted film, with a resemblance to real life episodes, was supported by beautiful performances by the talented cast - Hrtihik Roshan, Abhay Deol , Farhan Akhtar , with Kalki Koechlin and Katrina Kaif as their love interests.
Kudos to director Zoya Akhtar for bringing liveliness, happiness and joyfulness with such deftness on screen through an adventurous road film mostly based in Spain. 6.
"Singham": An out-and-out action film, the success of "Singham" proves that there are takers for such films. Based on the "good wins over evil" theme, the actioner takes a dig at the corruption within the police department through two main characters - honest cop Ajay Devgn and Prakash Raj as a corrupt politician.
Director Rohit Shetty's film also marked southern actress Kajal Aggarwal's debut in Bollywood. 7.
" Rockstar ": Give him a good role and he can sink his teeth into it. Ranbir Kapoor proved that again by stepping into the shoes of a musician.
From a cute and simple college boy to a crazy lover to a successful but cynical singer, the young actor proved his mettle in every frame. The film appealed despite a faulty script, which had too many loose ends.
In short, it was Ranbir's film, which launched American Pakistani model in the Bollywood business. Other high points of the movie were A.
R. Rahman's music and Mohit Chauhan's singing.
8. "Mere Brother Ki Dulhan": Not good, not bad - that is how Yash Raj Films' "Mere Brother Ki Dulhan" could be described.
Thanks to Imran Khan , Katrina Kaif and Pakistani singer-actor Ali Zaffar's tangled love story woven against the backdrop a wedding, the romantic comedy managed to pull the crowds. The film got mixed reviews, but managed to enter the top grosser list of the year.
9. "Delhi Belly": Replete with cuss words, weird situations, witty dialogues, the experimental movie in the English language targeted the urban audiences, who hailed this free will adult comedy as they identified with the characters of Imran Khan, Kunal Roy Kapoor and Vir Das in the movie.
If director Abhinay Deo faced failure with "Game", this film pulled him out of darkness and Aamir Khan once again proved that he has a knack for choosing the best scripts as a producer. 10.
"Yamla Pagla Deewana": After the 2007 release "Apne", the Deol trio - Sunny, Bobby and Dharmendra - returned to the big screen with the comic caper "Yamla Pagla Deewana" by director Sameer Karnik. Though a small budget film, it received an overwhelming response.
The impeccable comic timing between the father and sons struck a chord with the audiences
(less)The anatomy of Kolaveri
The song's pan-Indian appeal is startling indeed, and can be attributed to the following factors: Its eclectic mix of English lyrics with a Tamil drawl, the accompanying Kuthu beats with the hint of a piano interlude, and the matter-of-fact filming of the video done by Sony India, the promoters of the song. A rough version of the song, says its music director Anirudh Ravichander, was leaked on the internet.
"Tracking the person who had done so is a difficult process, but we managed to." However, the pulse to the song was so overwhelming that he says he would have thanked that person instead, while knowing that the leak could have actually backfired on them.
Karthikeyan R, a software engineer at an IT firm in Bangalore says, "The simple lyrics and catchy beats in the song had me hooked to Why This Kolaveri Di . I am willing to overlook the fact that the English dished out in the song was grammatically incorrect.
" Echoing Karthikeyan's views is Aashish Solanki, founder designer of a city-based online brand strategy organisation. He concurs that he found an instant connection with the song, despite not understanding Tamil.
"The tune was awesome and I was attracted to it instantly." The unconventional lyrics, he says, struck a chord.
"The mishmash of genres in this song is reflective of the typical Indian mindset," Solanki adds. "With TV no longer being the mass-media, it is inevitable that people switch to social networking sites for advertising.
" Enter social networking sites, and you need what is known as a talking point, which, according to Rishabh Malhotra, founding partner of a city-based men's lifestyle website, was inherent in the song. The song had catchy tune and beats, similar to what an earlier chartbuster, Bhaag DKBose , from Delhi Belly had, says Rishabh.
"Such websites provide one-one and one-many connectivity, offering outreach to millions." Refusing that the song became a hit because its lyrics comprised slang English, he says that there is only a limit up to which marketers can promote a song, beyond which the song needs to sell itself.
Online facts of Kolaveri: Clocked a whopping 83,000 views in the first 24 hours it was uploaded to YouTube, which at present, stands at a little over 3.5 million Has at least 1 million likes on the networking website facebook (a conservative estimate on all counts) Has even upstaged Bigg Boss participant Sunny Leone as the latest trend on Twitter! So I went away to Singapore , Hong Kong and Bangkok . Did travel show there and then studied acting in Los Angeles .
I also acted in a few ads in LA and then pursued a writing course in New York University . Bollywood dreams Kiran Rao called me to audition for her film Dhobi Ghaat.
She recommended me to Aamir. After checking some 300 girls, Aamir selected me for Delhi Belly.
Family matters I am born in a Gujarati-speaking Parsee family and my father used to be a captain on the ship. Growing up in a ship can be a lonely experience because there were hardly any kids to play with.
This made me write a lot. I regularly contribute columns to magazines.
I am also writing scripts. Professionalism I think working with this popular music channel as a veejay helped me grow professionally in those days.
But now with these horrible reality shows on music channels, professionalism in television is going down the drain. What now I want to live life doing different things.

(less)Riteish, Genelia's love story in their own words
Here's a flashback into the prem kahani that has never been told. The first meeting Riteish: I was flying to Hyderabad for the test shoot of Tujhe Meri Kasam and I was told that the girl opposite me would be there.
I walked out of the airport and met Genelia's mom. Then I saw this tall girl looking in the opposite direction, completely ignoring me.
I was like, 'Why is she behaving like this?' Genelia (butts in): I did say, 'Hi!' I'd found out two days before that he was the Chief Minister's son so I assumed he was a spoilt brat..
. a typical politician's son.
..
so I thought I'd give him attitude before he did! (laughs) Otherwise, I am shy and reserved by nature. Breaking the ice Genelia: The minute I spoke to him, I realised he was a nice person.
On the set, Riteish binds people. I didn't know anything about films then but he made it look so easy.
Also I found it endearing how he was so respectful of my parents and elders. Riteish: Itni taareef maine apne bare mein itne saalon mein nahin suni hai! Woh pehli baar.
..
Riteish: We started working as strangers, then began understanding each other. Off the sets we soon became best friends.
I would discuss architecture with her while she would discuss college and exams with me! The beauty of a relationship is when you get used to a person; it is not sudden. It is just a process, and you don't realise when love happens.
After I came back from the Hyderabad schedule, I started missing her. I wondered whether it was right to call her or not.
That dilemma lasted for a few days. Genelia: I was completely floored by Riteish's personality.
I think guys like him are rare in today's world. I love listening to him and enjoy his views.
Falling in love was gradual. Every stage was played out very correctly - be it friends, be it best friends or life partners.
Confessing love Riteish: There was no great realisation of love overnight, nor were there any great declarations. It was understood.
We didn't need to tell each other anything. We were together for days, which went into months and then years.
Genelia: The gradual development of our love was so unbelievable that it surprised us. We just grew together.
The best part is that we've never stopped being friends no matter how much our relationship has grown. The romantic one Riteish: Neither of us are terribly romantic people, but we believe in special moments.
Small things that have happened unknowingly have become romantic moments. Like this year on New Year's night, we suddenly decided to stop at a coffee shop at 11.
30 pm and spend some time together. We try and find happiness in small things.
Genelia: We enjoy life and each other's company. We have a great time over coffee.
My world is very small - it includes my parents, Riteish and a couple of friends. When you keep your world so precise, you know what your priorities are.
Him and her Riteish: She is my flag-bearer. I draw unconditional support and love from her.
Genelia's love holds me together and to understand her love is something else. It is amazing.
Genelia: I love Riteish. He lets me be.
He encourages and pushes me. He's proud of me and he's such a secure person.
At times, I get cranky but he's always cool and handles things with maturity. I also love the way he conducts life and his willingness to listen first and then speak.
I hate you Riteish: I hate her memory! While there are certain things I may want to forget, she remembers everything. With time, some things need to be forgotten! Genelia: What I don't like about him is that he the world's busiest man.
Even on a holiday he will manage to be busy! He will call and tell me he has these meetings and can meet me in between. Fight club Riteish: We hardly fight.
We have differences of opinion. I goof up most of the time but we never yell at each other.
I am usually the one to make up first. To make up with a girl is an ever-evolving process! Genelia: I wait for Riteish to sort it out.
The proposal Genelia: He hasn't proposed as yet..
. (giggles) Riteish: It's an arranged marriage, so there was no need to propose formally.
No proposal! Riteish: I have always been weak-kneed in front of her (smiles)! Shaadi ke din bache hai na - kar doonga main propose tab! She was a teenager when we started dating, and I was in my 20s. We have grown up together, having gone from being really childish to having a sense of maturity.
Genelia: Formal proposals are mere rituals. It's important to be happy with the person you are with.
The engagement Genelia: There's no sparkler (she shows her bare fingers). He's given himself to me, so that's fine.
Riteish is my biggest and only sparkler. Riteish: Shaadi se pehle de doonga! Shaadi ke baad Riteish: Agar yeh kaam nahi karegi toh ghar kaise chalega? (laughs) Every decision that's been made has been hers, but Genelia has always been gracious enough to discuss it with me.
So whether she wants to work in films or not is up to her. Whatever she decides is okay with me.
Genelia: He's always told me that it is my decision whether I want to work after marriage or not. Of course, I will prioritise my work differently post marriage.
I don't want to be part of the rat race, but I do want to be part of something good

(less)Coldplay hypnotised while recording song
"We're not afraid to try different things. Brian Eno brought a friend in and the four of us were playing music under hypnosis.
We have been in a band long enough where we are comfortable to explore new ideas. It didn't really come to anything.
You try 10 ideas and only one works. But nothing is too stupid for us," frontman Chris Martin said.
The singer also spoke about people who have accused them of plagiarism. "Its fine to not like the band, but it's not right to accuse us of plagiarism.
It's a very big difference between criticism and accusation," Martin said. Earlier the band's single, Every Teardrop is a Waterfall , was compared to Peter Allen track I Go to Rio and dance track Ritmo De La Noche by Sacados.
The band were also subject to a 2008 copyright infringement lawsuit from guitar player Joe Satriani, who claimed their track Viva La Vida had copied his song If I Could Fly , but this was dismissed by a court. Tweet

(less)Paul McCartney slams pop stars for lip-synching
"To me the concert experience is at the heart of what music is about. You come to a show and you are in the room so it is the real thing.
I have been to concerts where I think, 'Oh, I really am in the room with Tony Bennett and it is like he is in my living room'. That is a great part of the experience.
I then think, 'Wait a minute, people must think that about me'. When we make mistakes playing live, we always now turn it and say, 'Tell you what this proves we are live'," he said.
However, McCartney refused to divulge the offenders. Cheryl Cole was famously accused of miming during her live performances on the 'X Factor' while Elton John criticised Madonna for lip-synching during her 2004 tour.

(less)Bipasha song is not copied, says music director Salim
We wonder why music directors Salim and Suleiman would create something that sounds way too similar to the English track, and not expect it to be noticed? Salim Merchant said, "I don't really know which song you are talking about, but what we have created is an original number. We make sure none of our music sounds similar to anyone else's.
Even if it sounds similar, it will never be entirely the same." On her part, Bipasha said, "A lot of people have been interested in using my name in songs, but I am very protective about it.
But when Salim-Sulaiman came to me with this track I thought it would really work for the song. This is the first time my name has been used like this and it's very exciting.
" The original English track goes - Oh, Beyonce, Beyonce..
.Oh, Shakira, Shakira .
The alleged copy in Jodi Breakers goes - Oh Bipasha, Bipasha in the same tune. The official song is yet to be out, but we heard the number on Bipasha's birthday party video, which was recently leaked over the internet.
Bipasha added, "All my friends are absolutely crazy about the song and we play it all the time." Ask her if she's aware of the Beyonce number and she said, "Oh really? I didn't know that.
" Salim said, "May be you should listen to the whole song first." Watch the song Tweet
(less)Kolkata to host La Tomatina Festival
Now, the buzz is that Kolkata too is preparing to host a similar event in a water park on October 16. The organizers have already got as many as 1,800 enthusiasts who want to participate in the event.
Simultaneously, there are many who think that a festival that involves revellers throwing squashed tomatoes at each other smacks of bad taste and an utter disrespect for food. The moot point now is whether Kolkata will finally be able to host the event.
Says Sourav Mallik, one of the organizers of the festival who is now doing his diploma in financial accounting, "I was impressed with the depiction of the La Tomatina Festival in " Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara " and thought it would be pretty nice to organize such an event. The Hrithik-Katrina scenes were really cool.
My next step was to create a page on a social networking site. That was done a month ago and I now have 1,800 people who are keen on this event.
White is the dress code and beachwear will certainly not be allowed." The original La Tomatina Festival is held on the last Wednesday of August each year in the town of Bunol near Valencia in Spain.
It began sometime in 1944/1945 though no one is exactly certain about the origin of this Festival. Thousands of people from all parts of the world come to attend the "World's Biggest Food Fight" where more than 100 metric tons of over-ripe tomatoes are thrown in the streets.
The week-long Festival features music, parades, dancing and fireworks. On the night before the tomato fight, participants of the Festival compete in a paella cooking contest too.
Participants are advised to wear safety goggles and gloves. In addition, they must squish the tomatoes before throwing for safety precautions.
Another rule is that no one is allowed to carry anything that might lead to a serious brawl. Although it is forbidden to tear someone else's clothing, the crowd invariably rips the shirt of any clothed person.
However, Sourav is clear that ripping off clothes will be strictly prohibited at the Kolkata event. While there is a lot of excitement about the event, criticism has been flying in thick and strong.
Says Rupsha Dasgupta, wife of singer Rupam, "We have been taught never to waste food. These guys are comparing this festival with Holi and Diwali! What they fail to understand is that in Holi and Diwali, people who make the crackers and colours, benefit from us buying them.
But these tomatoes would not have gone to waste in our country had they not organized such a festival. In Spain, such a festival can be organized because they use over-ripe tomatoes which otherwise would have gone to waste.
But that certainly isn't the case in Kolkata. This is shameful.
" Rahul Shah, a banker and another organizer of the Kolkata event, says, "We are getting a very good response for the event. We are aware that this event was called off in Delhi.
If people can waste so much of water during Holi and still celebrate Diwali despite the concerns of global warming/noise pollution, why should there be any problems with this event?" Sourav, on his part, adds, "We are aware of the reservations. We will only use rotten tomatoes.
If fresh tomatoes are used, it will only be for serving mocktails. We are also planning to call some underprivileged children and donate 10-20 per cent of the money collected from the event towards charitable purposes.
" Well, only time will say who is going to squeeze the fun out of tomatoes

They have to experience life. There has to be something important happening with them for me to tell.
Otherwise, why would you listen to my story? For me, the story is of utmost importance."

(less)All about racing and some rock ‘n’ roll
As I watched from the podium, it was overwhelming to see the spirit and energy with which thousands of Delhiites thronged the starting line, while many others stood by to support them. The winter sun was bright, sunny and jolly.
And so was everyone present. So much so, that I could not resist rising from my seat to cheer for the participants.
This year too, more than 30,000 participants have registered for this wonderful event that advocates health and fitness through running, and communal harmony, since it manages to get together so many people from different backgrounds and walks of life on to a common platform. It also encourages participants to recognize and experience the joy of giving by raising money for charity.
It's only apt, therefore, that this edition of the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon celebrates the theme of friendship. Having witnessed the bonhomie and camaraderie that is present on Race Day, I am sure my friends in Delhi are geared up to hit the road and enjoy the spirit of bonding.
This year there will be even more opportunities to mingle and make friends, thanks to the novel concept of the Airtel Marathon Rockers, wherein eight of Delhi's best rock bands will be playing at specially created zones along the route to entertain the participants and spectators. Imagine the morning, music and masti, and with the zing of the marathon rockers added to the super-charged excitement of Race Day, for anyone who fails to come out on the streets on Sunday, November 27, it will be an opportunity missed .
So, all you friends out there, let's race, rock and roll!
(less)Rajeev Khandelwal is perfect for Soundtrack: Director
I started out making music videos and that was how I entered tinsel town. Now, I guess I'll have to set a new milestone and mull over my next film, which hopefully will happen soon! I believe that a director can sustain his good work for around 10 years.
That's his shelf life!"" His film's name is Soundtrack and Neerav Ghosh is a happy that his debut film is based on a subject that's close to his heart. Says the filmmaker, ""Back in the 90s I was too part of a band in Delhi and I was the lead guitarist in that band.
So, I've seen the life of a musician from pretty close quarters and am glad that my first film that happens to be on music. I was signed on for some other projects too, but things didn't work out then! Maybe since my heart and soul was in music it is only apt that my first film is on music.
"" Speaking more about his film, Neerav says, ""When I started out as a musician, I'll confess the cool quotient of the profession was attractive and the thought of chics adoring you, alluring! But, when on stage amid while performing amid all that loud music of different instruments, a thought always crosses a musician's mind (and it did mine too) 'what if I go deaf?' And it is this fear that gave birth to my film."" Quiz the director on his choice of actor and he says, ""Rajeev Khandelwal just seemed so perfect for the role.
Also, he's the face of intelligent, urban cinema and I knew that he'll do justice to the character I have in mind."" How did he steer clear of roping in big names for his first film? He says, ""I always believe that a film is made in the pre-production stage itself.
If the script is strong, the plan well laid out and locations chosen in advance, then the execution of plan, which is filming, is the last part and easiest. And if this is done well, your film does well too!""

(less)Agneepath rare action film with scope for music: Atul-Ajay
If you see action films, where's the scope for music? Even the original Agneepath had three or four songs," Atul Gogavale told IANS on behalf of the duo. "Our album has six songs, and we have tried to maintain a good variety with one intense Ganpati song, one qawwali, one romantic number, another song capturing the emotions of a brother and sister.
..
We wanted to give this album our best because it is very special for us," he added. Ajay-Atul entered the film industry in 2004.
They primarily composed for Marathi films, and earned acclaim for their tunes in the 2009 film Jogwa , for which they won a national award. They have even composed for Bollywood albums like Viruddh, My Friend Pinto and Singham .
But Agneepath , the music rights of which are with Sony Music, is close to their heart for a reason. "We have watched the original Agneepath at least 200 times.
We are so inspired by the aura of that movie and by Mukul S. Anand's background score and can relate with the story so much, that we knew exactly what kind of music we wanted to create for the remake.
"It is almost like a dream come true to recreate that aura, especially because we are such big fans of the film. We wanted to keep the same grandeur of music that people used to listen to in the 1980s, which is missing nowadays.
So we used a lot of live instruments and a lot of percussion to bring that feeling alive," said Atul. Their spicy song Chikni chameli , a Hindi version of their own Marathi hit Kombadi palali , is already a rage on all music channels and radio stations.
The duo is glad that through the movie, they have got the chance to take their Marathi tune beyond regional cinema. "The song is a great move for Marathi cinema because you never had so much confluence of talent within India.
The song is very peppy, and Karan Johar wanted us to do a Hindi version of it for the film. Of course, Katrina Kaif's dance has added to the song and we are glad with the way it has been received," he added.
Agneepath features Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra and Sanjay Dutt in key roles. The movie, directed by debutant Karan Malhotra, will release Jan 26 next year.

(less)Taylor Swift wins Artist of the Year at 2011 American Music Awards
"I ended up writing the record by myself, so the fact that you would honor it this way, you have no idea what this means to me," said Swift after winning the trophy for favorite country album for Speak Now . She was also awarded the prize for favorite country female artist.
Nicki Minaj, the pink-loving hip-hop diva, won two awards on Sunday. She kicked off the 39th annual fan-favourite ceremony by sporting a pair of speakers on her much-talked about posterior and was later honored as favorite rap/hip-hop artist, besting a group that included mentor Lil Wayne, and won favorite rap/hip-hop album for Pink Friday .
"There's so much love in this room," beamed the pink-haired Minaj. Adele had been the night's leading nominee with four nods, but didn't have much of a presence at the show: She was absent from the ceremony because she is recovering from recent throat surgery.
Adele tied Swift with three awards: favorite pop/rock female artist, adult contemporary artist and pop/rock album for 21 . Other winners included Maroon 5 as favorite pop-rock band/duo/group, Blake Shelton as favorite country male artist, Lady Antebellum as favorite country band/duo/group, Beyonce as favorite soul/R&B female artist, Rihanna for favorite soul/R&B album for Loud and Hot Chelle Rae as new artist of the year.
The ceremony inside the Nokia Theatre in an unusually rainy Los Angeles was drenched with 17 musical performances. Justin Bieber got in the holiday spirit among a forest of neon lights with Under the Mistletoe , and Kelly Clarkson, wearing a glittery red gown with her hair swept to the side, delivered a swinging rendition of her hit Mr.
Know It All as back-up dancers dressed as 1930s-era photographers snapped the first-ever American Idol champion. Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony shared custody of rapper Pitbull, who joined the former couple in a pair of separate performances.
Lopez performed essentially a live version of a car commercial starring the "Idol" judge set to "Papi" -- with the car onstage -- before launching into her hit On the Floor . Pitbull later returned to the stage and joined Anthony for Rain Over Me .
Lopez expressed surprise when she won the favorite Latin music artist award. "It's been up and down and just exciting and overwhelming and so many things," Lopez said of the last year.
Several artists delivered stripped-down performances: The Band Perry crooned an emotional If I Die Young , a pink-haired Perry accompanied herself on guitar for The One That Got Away and a platinum-blonde Chris Brown simply sang "All Back" before being joined by a troop of helmet-clad back-up dancers for a flashy interpretation of Say It With Me . There were collaborations, too.
Lopez joined a glowing-in-the-dark will.i.

(less)Katrina-Ali to create a music album together?
The two actors, we hear, are all set to carry their camaraderie to the next level and collaborate on a music album. Understandably, the actress does not want to reveal much at this point.
She says, "Ali and I have definitely hit it off musically. We share a lot of common musical interests that we're trying to take further.
Let's see where it goes." Incidentally, Kat has done a spot of nursery-rhyme singing for a kiddies' album by music maestro A R Rahman in the past.
She also learnt to play the guitar from Farhan Akhtar during Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara , a talent she then applied in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan . During the making of the latter, sources say both Kat and Ali were constantly in a huddle.
"Ali and Katrina get along like a 'rock stadium' on fire. They have a musical bonding.
They enjoy each other's company. But more than that, Katrina enjoys the fact that Ali talks music," explains a source.
If their off-screen chemistry is anything to go by, we're sure this jugalbandi of sorts will be a treat to watch and hear of course! Tweet
(less)Kids don't listen to Coldplay: Chris Martin
"My children made me focused on not wasting time on anything I don't think is worth wasting time on. So that's affected my editing process.
You don't want to spend months and months doing something and have it turn out terrible. You want your kids to be proud, basically.
So it gives you extra drive," he said. Meanwhile, Coldplay have announced they will be streaming a live show, directed by award-winning filmmaker Anton Corbijn, from the Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas arena in Madrid, Spain, as part of the 'American Express Unstaged' livestream music series.
"Anton Corbijn has been a big hero to us for a long, long time so we're thrilled to be beaming this concert out to the world through his cinematic lens," Martin said. "We can't wait to share this experience with him and with all of our fans watching 'American Express Unstaged' around the world.
It's going to be special," he added. The 2011 'American Express Unstaged' performance will be live-streamed on October 26 on YouTube.
