A novel version of Vidya's Kahani
The film, a thriller, begins with London-based, six-month pregnant Vidya Bagchi's arrival in Kolkata amidst the Durga Puja festivities. With nothing to rely on except fragments of her husband's memories, all clues seem to reach a dead end.
"Advaita is writing the story. She is going to write it a bit differently it won't be like the film.
..
as people would have seen the film ..
.the screenplay and would get bored.
She has a plan to write a novel in a different way..
.so that will be another interesting thing to wait and watch.
She has a different take..
.her thought process is totally different to the film, which will be good," Ghosh said in an interview.
Ask the director if he is fine with this idea of novel, and he says, "Ya..
its ok. As all she (Advaita) has in her mind is to write it.
I am sure she will not do anything that will harm the film." The film will hit cinema houses on March 9, while the novel should release by the end of this year.

(less)A good interview is about a good conversation: Imran Khan
"Most journalists have an exam sheet which comprises - what is your favourite colour, your favourite holiday destination, what you like to do in your free time. This is not an interview, this is a questionnaire.
I feel to make a good interview, be it print, radio or TV, it has to be a conversation. Fifty percent of the job is yours, half the job is mine.
That is how you make a good interview," the 29-year-old said here at an event. The actor revealed if ever given an opportunity, he would love to interview actor Salman Khan who, according to him, rarely opens up.
Imran's Ek Main aur Ekk Tu releases Feb 10 and stars Kareena Kapoor, Boman Irani, Ram Kapoor and Ratna Pathak Shah. Meanwhile, Imran's next with Vishal Bhardwaj, Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola, is set to go on floors Feb 14.

(less)Sridevi to help NRI women
That is about to change. The shy hermetic diva is about to come out and reach out to a very special galaxy of Indian women across the world: the NRI housewives who find themselves isolated in foreign lands due to linguistic constraints.
To rewind a bit, Sridevi in her comeback film 'English Vinglish' plays an Indian housewife in New York , compelled to grapple with a whole cultural transition. Linguistic barriers play a very prominent part in the film.
Sridevi will take the message of linguistic bridge-building beyond the film, to Indian housewives across the world via the digital and various other media. Though the plans at this moment are absolutely hush-hush we've come to know that the producers of 'English Vinglish' plan to establish a rapport between Sridevi and NRI women through micro-blogging sites.
Says a source close to the project, "Sridevi who has never known a world outside her home and family would be addressing NRI women on Facebook. She will also open a Twitter account meant specificially for Indian women in distress, particular, linguistic distress, in any part of the world.
In essence, she would be required to break free of her shy reclusive image to reach out, and offer remedies to women caught in critical situations." A panel of experts would guide Sridevi in providing advise to women on topics that she may not be familiar with.
But we came to know that Sridevi intends to handle the international crisis-management provision for ladies largely by herself. An international distress helpline is also in the offing.
Says a source close to the project, "We're hugely surprised by how much effort Sri has made to overcome her inherent shyness to reach out. The process started during the shooting.
She made an effort to bond with actors of every nationality. Now she has wholeheartedly agreed to lend her celebrity status to Indian women abroad who have lost their bearings and are clueless about how to get back on the radar.
Sri empathizes with their predicament. She has been a bit of an Alice In Wonderland in Bollywood.
" When contacted the film's producer, filmmaker R Balki explained, "We always intended to take the film's statement to a world outside the theatre. Yes, Sri will form a community of overseas women, digitally and otherwise.

(less)Ranbir Kapoor goes under the knife
A close friend of Ranbir confirmed the news and added, "Ranbir has been operated for a sebaceous gland problem. The surgery was minor.
" In fact Ranbir was discharged only a few hours after the surgery took place. Mumbai Mirror learnt that the actor was home by 12 noon.
According to the friend, Ranbir will even be able to resume work whenever he wants. "His Barfi! schedule was cancelled for a few days since his co-star Ileana was down with food poisoning.
Ranbir can resume the schedule if he wants," added the friend. Explaining how a cyst can form owing to a sebaceous gland, a doctor (on request of anonymity) told Mumbai Mirror, "Such cysts are not dangerous.
But if not removed, they can grow and cause a lot of discomfort. They are formed generally when a sebaceous gland in one's body gets blocked.
" The surgery is only a minor glitch in Ranbir's current happy state, said the friend. "Ranbir has been collecting awards for his flawless performance in Imtiaz Ali's Rockstar.
He hasn't signed a film after Rockstar, but he is reading scripts. But he should be signing a big one soon," added the friend.
When contacted, Dr Rushad was tight-lipped about Ranbir's surgery. However, an official from Breach Candy Hospital (on request of anonymity) confirmed saying, "Yes, Ranbir was admitted in our hospital on Thursday morning.
He had a cyst in his back. We did the needful under the guidance of Dr Rushad.
