Although, the duo were quick to clarify that they were rehearsing for Zee Cine Awards, Gauri Khan was clearly not amused. Then came news that Gauri and her friends started ignoring Priyanka at all the social dos.

A source close to the production house told Mirror, "Karan felt that the directors rightfully deserved a vacation. Both Karan Malhotra and Shakun Batra had been working day in and out on their respective films, without taking any days off.

Their hard work should be rewarded. Karan has definitely planned a big film for them in the near future but for the time being, it is this small vacation for them to unwind.

They will be leaving for Kashmir on Tuesday. Though they will be in Kashmir for a week, they won't be on the sets of SOTY.

An insider says, "Kareena was not entirely convinced about the film. She is extremely close to Karan, but the actor wants to do a magnum opus directed by him.

Looking at the success of the song producer Karan Johar has decided to gift a new Jaguar to Katrina. The news doing the rounds a few weeks ago is that Kjo was all set to gift Kat a Ferrari.

Having denied the rumours, the talks are that it's a Jaguar that Katrina is going to be bestowed with this week. In the meanwhile, Katrina is currently in Cuba shooting for Ek Tha Tiger .

According to an industry insider Karan is expected to gift her a Jaguar worth rupees 1.5 crores this week.

Interestingly, the two successful Dharma releases this year have been direted by debutante filmmakers Karan Malhotra and Shakun Batra. Mumbai Mirror has learnt that KJo, will now launch a few more first timers.

When contacted, Karan Johar told Mumbai Mirror, "At Dharma, we have already introduced nine directors. We are extremely proud of their films.

Taking the train of thought further, we plan to expand our production base and launch many more first time filmmakers in the immediate future." And surely enough, KJo's plans for the year include a lot of fresh talent - in acting as well as filmmaking.

Firstly, in his maiden co-production with good friend Shah Rukh Khan, Student Of The Year, KJo is all set to direct three new actors - Varun Dhawan, Siddharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt. The filmmaker will also launch Dharma talent Sonam Nair as a director this year.

For his co-production with Ekta Kapoor , KJo has roped in debutante director Akshay Roy. Ruchi Narain, who had earlier directed Kal: Yesterday and Tomorrow, is also being re-launched by KJo, this year.
