Paan Singh Tomar is based on the real life of a sportsman-turned-dacoit from Chambal. Tomar, a national steeplechase champion for seven years, quit the sport and joins the army to become a 'Bandit King' of the Chambal Valley.

Produced by UTV Motion Pictures Paan Singh Tomar , starring Mahie Gill alongwith Irrfan, released on March 2 and has emerged a sleeper hit. "We are very heartened with the Box Office and critical acclaim the film has got and we think it is an Oscar contender, no less.
