(less)Jackie Shroff's son Tiger in Aashiqui 2
Twelve years later, the Bhatts are ready to create another Aashiqui, one of the most celebrated love stories of the Hindi cinema industry. And though a nationwide hunt has been launched to find the two new faces for the Mohit Suri directed project, Mirror has learnt that the Bhatts have already zeroed in on their male lead.
According to sources from the industry, Jackie Shroff's son Tiger, who was initially going to be launched by Subhash Ghai and then rumoured to be introduced to filmdom by none other than Aamir Khan , will be the male lead in Mahesh Bhatt's new age Aashiqui. The project, reportedly based on Mahesh Bhatt's first love, will have two male and two female actors.
Saying that they have already launched a nation wide hunt to look for newcomers to be cast in Aashiqui 2 , Mahesh Bhatt told Mirror, "We will not select anyone till the newcomer does not filter through the process. So we have not finalised Tiger for the film.
" However, Bhatt did not deny the fact that he has indeed met the young actor. "We have met for something else.
Film people meet film people. And then, Tiger is the son of a very dear friend Jackie.
We met and discussed something. But nothing has been finalised yet.
" However, a source from the production house confirmed, "Aashiqui 2 will have to leading pairs unlike the first. And Tiger is definitely one of them.
The formalities need to be worked out. A massive publicity plan is being discussed for his launch.
The contest that has been launched will only determine the other lead pair in the film. Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt are very keen on launching Tiger Shroff.
" Guess , Tiger's first film has finally been decided

(less)Anil Kapoor's bizarre sense of humour
A source said, "Anil and Jackie have always been great friends for years now. The duo, however, met each other after a long time.
The posters of "1942: A Love Story" were plastered at the nook and corner of the cinema house. Even Manisha Koirala made it a point to be present at the event.
" Looking at the film's poster Anil remarked to Jackie that while he (Anil) and Manisha (Koirala) looked the same, but his (Jackie's) appearance had changed completely. This probably did not go down well with Shroff who just smirked over the comment.
"A disgruntled Jackie did not know how to react over Anil's comment. Things however turned fine as Jackie took Anil's comment sportingly.
The duo then caught up talking about good old days when they were constantly shooting together for films like " Ram Lakhan ", " Parinda " and " Karma "." Jackie and Anil are keen to do films together even today.
Any takers?

It is learnt that in the first half of last year, Chopra decided to restore his films like Sazaye Maut , Khamosh , Parinda , 1942: A Love Story , Kareeb , Mission Kashmir and Parineeta . When contacted, Chopra said, "One of the really bad things about India is preservation. Our heritage, our movies, nothing is preserved.
So we're making the effort now and are spending a few crore to restore our films like Khamosh , Parinda to name some." Recalling the instance when he saw the restored version of Parinda , the filmmaker stated that for someone who wrote and directed it, it seemed as if he was viewing a new film.
"The new 5.1 sound takes the film to a completely different level," he enthused, eager to share his experience with the restored version.
"Take the scene where Jackie Shroff shoots at a chain. Previously everything was in the mono track.
But now when the chain moves towards left and right, the sounds from the speakers is something else altogether," he summed up. Tweet
