(less)How Poonam Pandey was robbed
The gang became a palpable presence on the police's radar when they began receiving complaints of mobile phone robberies, all using the same modus operandi. A recent strike by the gang, which took place on Friday at around 10.
30 pm, left Pandey bereft of her expensive iPhone 4, which costs about Rs. 45,000.
Show on the road In her complaint lodged at the Oshiwara police station, Pandey said that she was hitching a ride in her friend's Wagon R, from Goregaon to Kokilaben Hospital in Four Bungalows, when the incident took place. Her friend was driving the car.
When they reached the Adarsh Nagar signal, two men on a motorcycle approached her, and knocked on the window. When she rolled down the window, one of the bikers warned her that another motorist was hurling abuses at her.
Assuming that the car has hit the irked motorist, she turned around to resolve the situation. Taking advantage of her distraction, the motorist snatched the iPhone from her dashboard and sped away.
It took Pandey a few moments to realise that her phone had been picked up. The man in the other car who had kicked up a fuss had also fled.
When Pandey approached the Oshiwara police station to file her complaint, she was informed that several other robberies had taken place in the area recently, using the same modus operandi. "I had no idea that the robbers would distract me and flee with my expensive phone the minute I looked away from it.
There were several personal photos and private videos stored in the phone, and I'm afraid that it might create a sensation if it landed in the wrong hands," Pandey told MiD DAY. The police officers investigating the case confirmed that several cases of mobile phone robbery had been reported at the same signal in the recent past.
"We are now on the look out for the gang. We believe that its members have committed several mobile thefts in south Mumbai.
We're tracing the gang members and have also increased vigilance at the Adarsh Nagar signal," said an officer from the Oshiwara police station. Tweet
(less)Poonam Pandey's 'gyaan' on seduction
The dust might have settled but Poonam knows how to grab attention again! The internet queen is now talking about seduction. Explaining what it means, Poonam tweeted, "Seduction isn't forcing someone to do something; it's enticing someone to do what they secretly already want to do(sic).
" And by saying so, is Poonam trying to say that she isn't inviting anyone to go nuts on seeing her hot bikini clad pictures? The model doesn't stop there. She also talks about the two words men hate to hear.
"Two words guys hate is don't and stop, unless you put them together (sic),"tweeted Poonam. The journey from a model to a Bollywood actress Poonam has really covered the long distance quite quickly.
Then this is in it she has not at all left her fans alone every now and then she either tweets some thing that creates a controversy or she posts some pics or videos that keeps her fans interested. --

But that hasn't stopped her from inciting her followers from going ga-ga over her curves that she keeps flaunting time and again. The girl posted yet another saucy picture of hers with a caption that reads, "Attitude is like your underwear; you must wear it, but never show it.
But then i like Flaunting the right Attitude a lot :P(sic)."Looks like Poonam loves slipping into her attitude over clothes that can keep her modesty under wraps! Poonam has maintained a stoic silence on Chitrangada's rant. While the drama will continue to unfold in the media and on microblogging site Twitter, industry pundits are finally raising the question that many already have on their minds: Is this the beginning of downslide for Poonam Pandey?
(less)I’d have done Jism role better than Bipasha: Poonam
On catfights, that is. Her first target is none other than adult-entertainer, Sunny Leone .
In an exclusive chat with zoOm, Poonam said, "I don't get why people are making such a hue and cry about her. I would never do what she's doing, I know how much to show and how much to hide.
" The pin-up gal, Poonam, didn't stop there. Her next pot-shot was at Bips.
"I would have done Bipasha's Jism role much better. I'm confident that I would have taken it to another level.
" This one's fiery alright. But we hope her acting skills are as sharp as her claws
(less)Poonam Pandey charges Rs 1cr for the film
And with Poonam as the lead actor for his latest Bollywood venture, the strip queen claims that the sky is the limit as far as boldness goes. After rejecting 30 film offers, Poonam claims to have finally signed one - only to pit it against the release of actor Sunny Leone's Jism 2 this December.
The model-turned-actor is so sure of her film's success that she is unperturbed that it clashes with Sunny's flick. "I am neither competing with her nor sharing my audience.
She is good at what she does and I am excellent at my job. It is a conscious decision to release our film with Jism 2.
I know everyone is going to love my film," says the leggy lass. Poonam has charged Rs 1cr for this 'bold film'.
National marketing head Aditya Bhatia of Eagle Home Entertainment says, "We have full faith in Poonam and are therefore riding so much money on her. We have paid her a crore and the budget of the film is around Rs 7-8cr.
Amit Saxena , who directed Jism, is directing our film." He's not scared of the clash either.
"It will be a clash of the Titans, and will make big noise. And as content is the king, we are sure about our product's success," he adds.
Jism 2 producer-director Pooja Bhatt was unaware about any such clash until we told her about it. "I'm not aware of the (Poonam Pandey) film.
But I wish them all the best! It's a free world and people are free to release their films as and when they deem fit! "
(less)With Poonam Pandey and Sunny Leone, December's hot this year!
Poonam was also heard saying that she is "neither competing with her (Leone) nor sharing my audience." Pandey, who shot to fame with her numerous quasi-cloth-shedding endeavours post India's World Cup win last year, is now all set for her debut in the Hindi Film Industry.
And her hard work doesn't come easily - it has a hefty sum of Rs. 1 crore attached to it! Yes , you read that right.
The leggy Pandey is burning the pockets of Eagle Home Entertainment by a crore for her first film. And the producers are only too happy to oblige.
According to Poonam, her first film in Bollywood is one that has come after a long time - 30-odd-rejected-films-later. And with Amit Saxena (of 'Jism' fame) donning the director's hat, there's hardly any speculation as to what the sensuality quotient of the film would be.
Seems like December is where all eyes are staring at. Poonam or Sunny - who would rule the box office - is yet to be seen.
But in the words of Poonam Pandey , they are good at their respective fields! We wish both of them a happy entry into Bollywood!
(less)Sunny and Poonam are no competition: Paoli Dam
"I don't know much about it, honestly, as I am busy promoting the film," she shrugs apologetically before moving on to other topics. The other topics being her B-wood entry.
Be it her wish to be painted nude by the late MF Hussain, or even rumours of the film's maker Vivek Agnihotri asking her to strip bare - have been the stuff of gossip mills for long now. Paoli reacts to questions on nudity with a shrugs, saying, "When you are in limelight then some nonsense gossip keeps following you and the same happened with me.
I don't know from where all this news comes up. The most shocking was the one about the maker of my upcoming film, Vivek Agnihotri, asking me to strip all in front of him during the audition for the film! Such stories are nothing but the overworked imagination of some" But mention her competition among the latest entrants, who too are making news for their racy revelations - read Sunny Leone, the import from USA's adult industry, or even Poonam Pandey who after promising to strip if India won the Wold Cup last year, is all set to play herself in a "bold" film - and Paoli becomes animated.
"Why would their entry in Bollywood bother me? It's true that apart from me Sunny and Poonam would also be making their Bollywood debut and they are also doing bold roles, but I frankly I don't take them as any competition. Bollywood is a huge place to work and if you are talented enough then you would get your share of work," she replies emphatically.
Paoli, known for a racy image on screen - her international film "Chatrak" too created controversy for much the same reasons - says she has always preferred playing bold characters on screen. "As an actress, I think beyond boldness.
Making a debut in Bollywood with a bold character was not my conscious decision. I love roles that have layers in them.
In my upcoming film my character is full of layers. Audiences would get to see my professional, romantic, sexy and revengeful shades in the film.
As for "Chatrak", I think it should not be compared to my upcoming film. That would be unfair," says Paoli.
Apart from playing bold roles Paoli is also doing a Bengali film based on the Rabindranath Tagore's creation "Char Odhyay". "Being Bengali working on Rabindranath Tagore's creation is a matter of pride for me.
This film is a period film set in the pre-independence era."
