Ekta and I have different tastes, says brother Tusshar
Ekta tasted success as a producer with Kyaa Kool Hai Hum, Shootout at Lokhandwala, Love Sex aur Dhokha, Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai and The Dirty Picture . "As far as her (Ekta's) mindset as a producer is concerned, she has different tastes so whenever I would approve of investing in a film, she may not agree to it or vice versa.
But whenever I need marketing ideas I would go to her as she has brilliant ideas. I would talk to her about what we should do for promotion of Char Din Ki Chandni ," Tusshar said in an interview.
Tusshar, who is co-producing the upcoming romcom directed by Sameer Karnik, says there is no sibling rivalry. "If I start something then there can't be any rivalry as I have started it, it is not that we are buying films from outside.
..
it is like we are making our own films. I don't have any rivalry.
..
she makes it (film) or I make it..
.it is all in the family," the actor said.
"As far as criticism goes, she used to tell me that the kind of films I am doing is not right..
.It was a learning curve so it's ok.
Same way the kind of films she was producing, I used to tell her that they were not right for her. She also had to go through flops as a producer like I went through as an actor," Tusshar said.
About his new role as a co-producer for Char Din ..
., the actor says, "I stepped in after seeing the film.
It is just an agreement between Top Angle Productions and me. I have invested some money as far as promotion is concerned as that will be repaid when the film releases so whatever comes in the form of theatrical profits I will have a small share in that.
" For the time being, Tusshar would continue to produce only those films in which he would act. "I would be partnering in those films where I am acting also.
Of course the long term plan is to have the time to make films that don't have me also in it," the actor said. "Being an actor in Char Din Ki Chandni I could see the film and that's why I could invest in it.
" Char Din ki Chandni directed by Samir Karnik of Yamla Pagla Deewana fame is releasing on March 9. Tweet
(less)Time to save Sameer, says Neelam
"Ok guys..
.Time to save Sameer in the Bigg Boss house! Sms SAM to 56882.
He tried to make peace in the house but it backfired, not fair! Vote vote!" Neelam posted on micro-blogging site Twitter. Sameer has been nominated for being diplomatic in his approach.
So far he has remained calm and composed, and tried to bring about peace amongst everyone. But his behaviour hasn't gone down well with some among the remaining 11 contestants on the show.
He has been nominated along with former dacoit Seema Parihar and ex MTV Splitsvilla contestant Sakshi Pradhan. The result of the elimination will be on air Friday on Colors

January wedding for Sameer-Neelam
Following his exit from Bigg Boss 4 , the couple decided to get married by the month-end. However, there was no official proposal from Sameer.
The two know that they want to spend the rest of their lives together and that marriage was always on the cards. It's just that the couple didn't want to waste time and decided to strengthen their bond by legalising it.
Rumours about their marriage began last week and people have been calling the couple up and asking about the date but they are being tight-lipped, insisting it will be a small, intimate affair." A source close to Neelam says, "Sameer and she are trying to finalise the marriage date for the last week of January.
Failing that, the first week of February is a definite possibility. Her brother who stays in the US with his family, Sameer's parents who stay in Shimla and Delhi and his brothers and their families who stay in Delhi and USA, will all be coming down for the wedding so Neelam and Sameer are working on the wedding dates depending on their availability.
" Though close friends like Karan Johar, Tusshar and Ekta Kapoor are expected to be present, Neelam's friend insists that it won't be a 'typical big, fat, glittering B-Town wedding.' "Only their families and a handful of close friends from B-Town will be sent invites.
Right now, they're deciding the wedding date (tentatively, it's Jan 22). Following that, they will decide on dates for the other events like the mehendi, sangeet and reception," reveals the friend

(less)Post Bigg Boss, Sameer Soni to wed Neelam
But that's not true. Technically if I am able to stay in Bigg Boss till the end, there's no question of a wedding within this year.
But after Bigg Boss , I do look forward to it," Sameer told IANS before entering the fourth season of the reality show, which kickstarted on Sunday. What was Neelam's reaction when he gave a nod to Bigg Boss 4 ? "Oh well, she was very supportive but kept giving me the jitters by making me feel as though I am going for the Kargil War! She was making it tougher for me.
..
but I was cool and I'll just think I'm on a vacation," he quipped. Lately, Sameer has been making frequent appearances in Bollywood movies - he featured as a gay fashion designer in Madhur Bhandarkar's Fashion and was applauded for his portrayal of a director in Karan Johar's I Hate Luv Storys .
Now, he says he is ready to take his I Hate Luv Storys role seriously in real life. "I had been working on a script since a long time.
The script is ready, done and final. I have to approach the actors I have in mind.
But now all that will happen after Bigg Boss . And yes, I will be directing the project as well.
At least that's the plan," said the 42-year-old, who was an investment banker in New York, before making a foray into showbiz. The smart and suave Sameer is a pleasant surprise on a show like Bigg Boss , which is usually a pot full of controversial names.
But he reveals that he has been declining the show the past three years. "This is my first reality show.
I had been offered various dance shows, etc in the past and was even asked to do 'Bigg Boss' in all past seasons. But honestly, I wasn't ready to be judged so openly by the public.
"The fear of being judged was holding me back, but now here I am to fight the fear of being judged. Over the years, I have come out of it.
Now I want the audience to see my personal side. I want to share what I am," he added.
For Sameer, the biggest challenge of being in a show like Bigg Boss is its very concept - living with 13 other strangers in a locked up house with no communication with the outside world. "I have been living alone for the past 15 years.
I have had all the space to myself. So how I get along with the people and share my space will be a big challenge.
" Unlike many others, who boldly claim that the show is a platform to get an image makeover or to boost their dull careers, Sameer says his entry on the show has nothing to do with his profession. "Professionally, I'm on quite a roll.
My two recent films have been successful and I am very satisfied. This show is for my personal growth," he said.
Bigg Boss 4 , hosted by superstar Salman Khan, airs on Colors and besides Sameer, SG Abbas Kazmi, Ashmit Patel, Rahul Bhatt, Seema Parihar, Shweta Tiwari, Sara Khan, Sakshi Pradhan, Aanchal Kumar, Manoj Tiwari, Hrishant Goswami and Pakistani actress Veena Malik, and cross-dressing diva Begum Nawazish Ali from across the border are locked inside the house
(less)I'll commit suicide if I've to stay with someone like Dolly: Sameer Soni
Dolly was evicted too. "Suicide or murder seem like good options if I have to stay with anyone even close to being her! Gosh! She was too much," Sameer told IANS on phone from Lonavala.
The actor, who was among the most gentle and calm contestants on the show, was asked to leave the show following a major verbal fight over Dolly's vulgar and abusive argument with TV actress Shweta Tiwari. He feels "disappointed" and says the decision was "unfair".
"I don't regret whatever happened. If I knew I was going to be tormented and abused, I wouldn't have gone for the show.
I wasn't expecting anyone to use such atrocious language, putting everyone to shame. "I was nearly physically assaulted, and still the decision to ask me to move out was taken.
It is unfair and I don't have faith in the show at all now. I didn't think it was wrong to stand up for a woman's dignity," said Sameer, who featured as a gay fashion designer in Madhur Bhandarkar's "Fashion" and played a director in Karan Johar' s I Hate Luv Storys.
He is all the more surprised that none of the other housemates "moved an inch" when Dolly was hurling abuses at Shweta. "Nobody moved.
The situation was getting out of hand and someone had to intervene. So I did," he said.
But wasn't he disappointed that Shweta, who had vowed to leave the Bigg Boss house, ended up going back on her words? "See, everyone in there has a game to win. Ultimately, its all about themselves, and no one is a friend in Bigg Boss .
" Nevertheless, Sameer says he had a "fantastic" experience and that he would have loved to stay longer. With his ouster, he has even missed out on spending time with former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson, who is on a three-day visit to the show.
But he isn't complaining. "Nah! I didn't have any major attraction for her.
I have already seen enough spicy stuff on Bigg Boss. But yes, it would have been nice to interact with her and get to know her as a person and her thoughts about our country," said Sameer.
His post- Bigg Boss 4 plans include settling down with former actress and now jewellery designer Neelam Kothari and to direct a movie
