Sachiin Joshi goes Aamir Khan way!
Experimenting with looks is the in-thing and Bollywood actors have begun going to great lengths to get the skin of their characters. Salman Khan toned his body further and added a moustache for 'Dabangg'.
Akshay Kumar will follow suit playing a policeman in 'Rowdy Rathore'. Aamir Khan actually grew a moustache to fit into the cop's role in 'Talaash'.
And as if these are not enough, Bollywood has a new chameleon now. Sachiin Joshi , whose debut film 'Aazaan' stunned the industry with its amazing action and production values last year and even bagged a Stardust Award for it, is pulling all stops to play a quirky cop in his next film 'Mumbai Mirror'.
To begin with, just like Aamir, the actor is growing a stylish moustache for it, instead of going for a fake one. "Having the perfect look goes a long way in making the character look authentic.
Its amazing, the way Aamir manages to change his look to suit his character in almost every movie he does," remarks Sachiin. But the newbie is not just stopping at a facial change! Just as Aamir did for his other film 'Ghajini', Sachiin is undergoing rigorous physical training, with his trainer having put him on a strict diet regimen too.
Having lost a lot of kilos and toned up his body, the 'Aazaan' star aspires to look every bit of the tough but whimsical cop he portrays in 'Mumbai Mirror'. Directed by Ankush Bhatt, of 'Bhindi Bazaar Inc.
' fame, the movie mirrors the Mumbai underbelly and revolves around the nexus between powerful corrupt dance bar lords and the Mumbai Police
(less)Sachiin Joshi is hitched
The actor, who made his debut last year in "Aazaan" opposite Candice Boucher finally decided to tie the knot with his longtime girlfriend - actress Urvashi Sharma . According to sources, "The actor had posted a picture of him and his girlfriend on Tuesday and had announced his marital status to all his close friends.
Sachiin plans to host a grand reception party around March 2 in Mumbai. The party will be attended by all his friends from Bollywood , prominent politicians, industralists and bureacrats.
Even some Hollywood celebrities are said to be attending the reception." Sachiin, who had been dating the actress for a while, has finally decided to settle down with her.
Even though Urvashi is from Delhi, there are presently no plans of a celebration in the capital city. The guest list at the wedding reception is also said to include stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman.
Sources say, "Both the families have agreed to their match. Sachiin's sister, who stays in Delhi and the other one who is in Dubai , are busy with the wedding preparations.
" When we contacted Sachiin, he confirmed the news but refused to share any other details
(less)Sachiin to play a quirky cop
Reveals director Ankush Bhatt , "Sachiin plays a quirky cop in this realistic commercial potboiler. What makes this film unique is that though Sachiin is in the main lead, other characters enjoy their space in the film.
It is not a one man show." "Mumbai Mirror" exposes the nexus between powerful, corrupt dance bar owners and the Mumbai police.
Bhatt adds, "The script is well balanced. And I as a director have been given complete creative freedom.
I am happy to be working with Sachiin and Mallika (Sherawat) in this one." Interestingly, "Mumbai Mirror" is a news channel in the film.
"Yes, it shows the media's role too. We will soon zero in on another actress to play a crucial role in our venture," says Ankush.
Last heard, names like Asin, Sonam Kapoor and Genelia Deshmukh were being tossed around. Ankush, however, is tight-lipped about it.
"We will make an announcement soon," he says. "Mumbai Mirror" has music by Anand Raj Anand.
The film hits the floors in April

Sachiin, Urvashi ties the knot
Interestingly, it was on Valentine's Day that Sachiin popped the question to Urvashi. The excited bride tells us, "I called and asked about his plans on V-Day.
He said that a cozy dinner would do. In fact, he even said he was busy and unsure of making it for dinner.
" Urvashi says they finally made it to a restaurant for dinner, when out of the blue, in typical filmi style, Sachiin got down on his knees and fished out a huge diamond ring and proposed marriage. "Imagine my shock! He was pretending the entire time.
It was the best day of my life and I will never forget this year's Valentine's Day," says Urvashi. Sachiin adds, "She thought it would be a usual date.
She was zapped at the proposal. It was an emotional moment.
" Sachiin and Urvashi first met through common friends at a party. Reveals Sachiin, "We soon began going out.
One day, I asked her if she was serious about a relationship with me. It's been over two years since we've been together, so marriage was the obvious next step.
" Urvashi says Sachiin has always made her feel secure. "I used to long to be with him.
He is sensitive too. That is one quality I really love about him," she says.
As for Sachiin, it was Urvashi's innocent and straightforward nature that swept him off his feet. "I like her honesty.
Urvashi is very transparent, very caring and very giving. It is these qualities that make her beautiful in my eyes.
" Come March 2, and Sachiin and Urvashi are set to have a grand wedding celebration. "You could call it a party or a reception.
Besides family and friends, we have invited our well-wishers too. We want everyone to be a part of our joy.

(less)Vidhu's best yet to come: Anil Kapoor
B.S.
" and " 3 Idiots ", but the audiences have not seen his best yet, says his friend and actor Anil Kapoor . "I think his (Chopra's) best is yet to come.
I still feel that as per his dedication, sincerity and the kind of vision he has, he has not yet not made his best film till now," Anil told reporters. Chopra has completed three decades in the Hindi film industry and has organised a six-day retrospective of his films in association with a cinema chain.
The first film, showcased Thursday, was the 1989 release "Parinda". Anil says he has strong memories connected to the film, about Mumbai's underworld gangsters.
"I remember when Vinod had made the poster, it read 'The most powerful film ever made.' I told him that people will laugh, but it was (really) the most powerful film at that time.
"I remember when he came to me to narrate the film, he told me that he had only Rs.17 and he had no money to make the film, but he wanted to make 'Parinda'.
So, that's the way the journey started," said Anil. Chopra has been connected to several iconic films as director, writer or producer.
Some of his films include "Munna Bhai M.B.
B.S.
", "Parineeta", "Lage Raho Munna Bhai", "Mission Kashmir" and "Eklavya: The Royal Guard". Chopra is also gearing up for the release of his next production, " Ferrari Ki Sawari ", starring Sharman Joshi and Boman Irani
(less)Will Vidya get green signal by Lavani dancers?
"We want the song to look purely authentic. We are in talks with a bunch of Lavani dancers from Kolhapur for the first test screening," said Mapuskar.
True to the flavour of the song, Vidya has worn a traditional Maharashtrian attire, but instead of the typical green, she chose a ravishing red. Perhaps, it has to do with her superstition that a red sari worked wonders for her when she flaunted it in her 2011 blockbuster The Dirty Picture .
The actress has given the song her best shot - she is said to have undergone three weeks of intense rehearsal with a troupe from Kohlapur. Tweet

(less)Emraan and Vidya lock lips again...
A source reveals, "The film requires them to kiss, and both of them are quite comfortable with each other thanks to TDP. They have good chemistry and the script makes full use of it.
" A source from the film's unit confirms, "They play husband and wife. Kisses were always a part of the script written by Parvez Sheikh and director Rajkumar Gupta.
If he decides to keep the kisses in the script, we're pretty sure Gupta will have no problem convincing the actors. Both of them are thorough professionals and understand what their roles demand.

(less)Prateik celebrates Mother’s Day with grandma
Whatever I am today is because of the way she has brought me up. I owe every bit of my success and happiness to her.
I plan to celebrate Mother's Day by spending time with her and doing things that make her happy. She's always complaining that I don't wash my hands before I eat, or how my jeans are always torn, or how I don't cut my hair.
So today, I will wear regular jeans, a nice crisp white shirt and be a good, obedient grandson. She cooks for me and no chef in the world can cook as well as she can! But on Mother's Day, I want her to relax and I want to cook for her instead! I know I can never be as good as her, but I will definitely attempt it.
My mother is with me through the work she's done and her images. My grandma never let me feel alone while growing up.
I respect and admire her for being my pillar of support through the years." As told to Tushar Joshi
